Very comfortable house and welcoming owners.

Jeonghee was very warm and welcoming on arriving at Father House. A lovely room with shared bathroom. Breakfast was ready at the time we agreed, although unusual breakfast of broccoli soup and toast, it was delicious and warm on a cold day. Beautiful art in the house as Jeonghee is an artist.

The room was a little cold as heating is a wood fire outside the room or overnight underfloor heating, there is an electric blanket to warm you up though.

we lovely the cottage, set in a beautiful garden and a short walk to the shops. It's ideally located. The cottage was roomy and had all the amenities we needed. Our hosts were so lovely and welcoming

We only noted that the second floor bedroom was a bit chilly, so we borrowed a small heater to make it a bit warmer for our toddler.

Breakfast was something a little different but absolutely yummy

The accommodation was a very serene space in which to rest and relax, and my hosts were very welcoming and definitely made me feel at home.

Jeonghee and her partner are very lovely. They looked after me and my family for our stay prior to my wedding around the corner. The accomodation is lovey, the little touches of care with treats, hand written notes and continental breakfast were fantastic. The garden area around the property looks beautiful and is definitely worth a walk around.

The hosts were extremely lovely people and very willing to help with any questions. The property also had lovely gardens. We used this location for my husband to get ready with his groomsmen on our wedding day, the hosts even gave us a wedding gift as we were leaving.

The accommodation was quite dated but was still comfortable.

If you like to stay close to the city, it‘s too far away - a car is needed. However, we liked the peace and quietness away from Christchurch and it was closer to the airport. The hosts provided us with toast, eggs, milk and spreads, however, we had to cook the breakfast ourselves.

Very friendly and kind owners, great set up, close to a really lovely pub and restaurant for dinner and great place to hand out with friends. Would definitely come back. Thank you !

Our hosts are very nice people, they made us feel totally at home. We got very tasty breakfast (fresh fruit out of the beautiful garden) and got good recommendations what to do in the area. The kitchen was well equipped, so we were able to cook ourselves dinner. We enjoyed staying here so much and thank Jeonghe and her husband for their friendlyness.

The location was ideal for our needs

Didnt like the used food left in the fridge. It felt like someone else was living in the house and had moved out for the time we were using it. Used soaps left in the bathroom/shower.

Steep stairs,no toilet upstairs. Internet very patchy to start with.

The cottage was clean and neat and tidy. Jeonghee was very friendly and welcoming. She was very responsive in getting an issue with the water looked at. We appreciated the personalised welcome note and complimentary breakfast.

We personally found the double bed a bit firm for us but we know that different people have different preferences!

I loved our hosts! Considerate, kind, generous, extremely interesting! Our room was large, clean, comfortable with a great bed! Breakfasts were tasty and plentiful! The location was perfect for us and it was nice and quiet at nights.

The unit is spacious and quiet and contains almost everything that is required for travellers staying overnight or for few nights. The host, Jeonghee, is friendly and personally welcoming & bidding farewell for her guests, which made us feel very warm and thanks for her sweet goodies.

The toilet is somewhat far from the bedroom but it's ok if there is no elderly guest staying.

Choice of cereal or eggs and toast. It would have been nice to have some grain bread rather than white bread. Otherwise we were happy with the choices.

A choice of wholemeal.or grainy toast with marmalade or jam or vegemite.

Distance from town. A little outside town

Felt like home away from home which was very much appreciated when you've been away so long. Jeonghee is the most lovely host and felt like being with family. Together with her husband they made us feel at home straight away and we had the best sleep we've had in a long time. They have an incredible home with an even more impressive garden that we really enjoyed walking round exploring. Breakfast was delicious and filling. Thanks for everything and we will cherish our hand written note forever in our memory box. Nathan & Shannon

Excellent location. Very friendly caring hosts. Great break in our travel to DN. Totally enjoyed our stay. Enjoyed walking in the garden on our arrival an d before we left. Forgot my cell phone charger and received a phone call withing 5 min of departure so we could return and pick it up. Excellent service.

What a delightful place to stay, the owners were so helpful and caring. The accommodation was clean and cosy. It’s the little things like the kind personalised welcoming letter that makes you really feel part of the family.

The house is lovely, spotlessly clean and neat. The bedroom was very cosy, warm and comfortable. The bed was super soft and comfortable. I loved the hosts, they were really welcoming, considerate and wanted nothing but the best for me. Breakfast was filling and yummy. A great welcoming family vibe.

There were no signs to indicate where the property was. I had to guess I was at the right place.

Lovely people who made us feel at home. Plenty of space inside and good hot fireplace.
