Surf Forever

If you come to Midigama to surf this your place to be. Super close to several surf spots and also perfectly located between Weligama and Midigama. There are also some nice local restaurants around but you can also use the kitchen. The rooms are very basic but you will spend all day outside anyways. So totally fine! Big beds with mosquito net! There is no hot water but I never wanted to have a hot shower anyways. But best about my stay were the hosts dilip & dulmi! They helped with everything and are so lovely!

It can be quite hot as there is no ac but for me it was ok!

Die Gastgeber sind unglaublich liebevoll und helfen bei allen Angelegenheiten. Die Spots zum Surfen sind füssläufig erreichbar, aber es können auch Fahrräder geliehen werden. Ich habe mich gefühlt, wie ein Einheimischer.

Peccato vedere nel bagno in comune sotto il lavandino flaconi di shampoo e bagnoschiuma buttati per terra perché finiti senza che nessuno pulisse ! La pulizia del bagno dei cestini dei portaceneri dovrebbero essere una costante !

Ich war hier zum Surfen und ehrlich gesagt ist mir der Abschied richtig schwergefallen. Ich hab was ruhiges gesucht, wo ich eine gute Zeit nichts anderes machen kann, außer surfen - und wo nicht jeden Abend gesoffen wird, wie ja leider in vielen anderen Surf Spots. Genau diesen entspannten Vibe findet man hier zu 100 %. Die Lage ist für Surfer eigentlich perfekt: Man sitzt genau mittig zwischen allen Breaks. Ich bin jeden Tag einfach zu Fuß los und in ein paar Minuten ist man im Wasser. Das eigentliche Highlight ist aber die Atmosphäre vor Ort. Es ist alles sehr entspannt. Das liegt vor allem an den Besitzern – ich habe selten so herzliche und liebevolle Menschen getroffen, und ich reise gut die Hälfte des Jahres. Gerade wenn man länger bleibt, merkt man erst, wie viel Mühe sie sich geben, damit man sich wirklich willkommen fühlt. Das ganze wirkt sich sehr auf die Dynamik in der kleinen Unterkunft aus - die paar Leute die dort bleiben, gehören alle irgendwie "dazu" - man redet automatisch miteinander und hat eine gute Zeit. Wer eine Unterkunft sucht, die authentisch ist und wo man sich nach dem Surf einfach nur wohlfühlen kann, ist hier genau richtig. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. Danke für die zwei tollen Wochen! PS: Ja, die Straße ist direkt vor der Unterkunft. Wie an sehr vielen Spots in Midigama. Aber wer nicht gerade enorm seicht schläft, wird hier keine Probleme haben. Ear Plugs sind aber ein Muss - wie so oft in Asien. Halb so schlimm, ich war sogar ein paar Tage krank und hab problemlos geschlafen :)

La cortesia e la simpatia dei proprietari va bene oltre le particolarità della struttura... In Sri Lanka ci si adatta è vero... Ma l'umanità che ho trovato al Surf Forever è difficile trovarla ovunque... I love you guys!

A perfect stay from start to finish! The establishment is absolutely spotless, very clean, well maintained, and pleasant. You immediately feel comfortable there. A huge thank you to Dulmi and Dilip who are simply incredible: welcoming, attentive, and always available to help with a smile. Their kindness really makes all the difference. The location is ideal, close to everything and very convenient for getting around and enjoying the surroundings. I highly recommend this place without hesitation and I will gladly come back again!

My stay was amazing, the hosts made me feel part of the family since I arrived. A true home away from home. Everything was better than expected. Location is perfect. They put me in a better room than the one I’ve booked. We had bbq together, the wave is right in front. Couldn’t ask for more. They even gave me the best deal renting a bike. So thankful 🙏🏽

Perfect location, comfy room and very friendly and helpful owners

The room was close to the main street, so I didn't sleep well due to the traffic noise. So only recommended for easy sleepers!

The most welcoming hosts quickly became friends/family away from home. I loved my room with adjacent bathroom and usage of kitchen/fridge. You can see rams surfspot from the patio and walking distance to 5surfspots of midigama. Chilled vibe and best dinners cooked by dulmi. I am returning after some travels up the coast to spend my last week here. There are surfrentals and repairs as well as nice selection of restaurants in close visinity.

Be mindfull that property is on the mainroad, so traffic noise can not be avoided.

Loved staying at Surf Forever! The hosts were the best and made me feel at home from day 1. As it’s directly on the main road it’s quite noisy all day, but other than that it’s the perfect place to be in Midigama, if you’re looking for an affordable, convenient accommodation.

The owners are so helpful with everything. The room is clean, good bathroom and amazing location. Regardless if you surf or not, it’s a great place to stay.

Great location just opposite the beach. The room was great with private bathroom. The owner was lovely and easy to communicate with.

Its a lovely homestay behind the main road and beach, in between a few surf spots that you can walk to. Such lovely hosts, they made me feel very welcome.

Not an issue for me on this trip but FYI the shower was cold water only.

There was a lot of noise during the night due to the proximity to the street, the train station and the noice of the fan, we had a hard time to sleep

Super friendly and helpful hosts, they gave me a room upgrade for free which was very much appreciated.

this was the warmest hospitality i received during my travels! the place is very simple, there is nothing to complain about the economy room for this price! the beds are easy with a mosquito net and a shared bathroom (only 3 guests, there are more rooms with private bathroom too). the place is perfect in front of the sea with a lot of surfing spots and good restaurants within walking distance. it is noisy like every room you will find in front of the sea at the main road, so don’t forget your earplugs ;)

nothing to complain with this price. i left because i needed a private bathroom. i didn’t see that there is a shared bathroom. so when i checked in and saw that there is no private bathroom, i stayed for one night and left the next day because i felt so so good and well welcomed there (after spending a bad night at a foreigners place who charges way too much for what he offered!)

Tne owners Dulmi and Dilpit are very generous and kind. I really felt like being in family. You can have tasty dinner cooked by the owners. They were the best sri lanka food i ever had. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the house is nearby restaurants and surfs spots. Bonus: they now have a lovely dog called Luna

What an awesome experience! This place is located in a primespot right before Ram‘s right and within a 5min walking distance to the other spots in Midigama, but the best thing about Surf Forever are the two hosts Dulmi and Dilip. They truly made this an unforgetable experience. Very familiar atmosphere that made us feel right at home. Don‘t miss out on the typical Sri Lankan Dinner at their place. Thank you so much! The Family including the lovely dog are just amazing. Genuine people who you can actually meet. I really felt treated like a friend, not a guest. Rooms are simple and comfortable. Absolutely cozy vibes. If you go make sure to try out their dinner offer. It’s soo good and gets everyone full :D Looking forward to coming back here :)

Dilip and His wife are really lovely and caring Hosts. I Just booked one night and stayed 4 at the end before I left midigama. They prepare an awesome Dinner If you kindly ask Them. Midigama beach is in Walking distance, maybe 10 Minutes. I felt very Welcome there and would Go Back for sure. Enjoy These heartwarming people☺️

The couple in charge of the guest house was really kind. I was the only guest there ( because off-season ) but they were both there to greet me and made sure I had everything I needed! Thanks as well for the lovely dinner :)

Stayed for 2 long weeks in this place and it was perfect. Surf spot right at the door. Room super comfy and clean. And the family who runs the guesthouse is AMAZING! Best dinners cooked by them <3 and got to meet other travelers!

Everything was tidy and comfortable. The place was right across the street from the beach and an easy walk to many surf spots. The hosts were so kind! They made us coffee each morning and we enjoyed a homemade dinner from them each night for a very good price. I would recommend anyone to stay here if you’re looking for a spot in Midigama.

Best place to stay in Sri Lanka! The family is so kind. They prepare coffee/tea in the morning and cook for us for dinner for a little extra and the food is really good. It's well located and comfortable. Only a few minutes walking from surf spots. I booked 2 nights and stayed 7. It felt so good to stay here. They treat us as a family member. I would definitely recommend! :)

Such a cute, family run home stay. Definitely one of my favourite places in Sri Lanka. Each night Dilip and Dulmi prepared a traditional Sri Lankan dinner and we had the option to also have fresh fish or meat with the meals. The homestay is within walking distance from Midigama and Coconut beach + the main cafes/ restaurants in town. I originally booked for 3 nights but ended up staying for over a week. I felt safe and at home during my entire stay, thank you

Udara and his family are so lovely and friendly. For dinner they cooked every day an original singhalese menu, which was always very good. We can recommend this stay for all the people who looking for something you feel like home.

the noise from the street (you get used to it though) and in the garden it would be nice to have some spaces to chill out like a hammock or sunbeds

100% recommended, Dilip and his wife were like a family for me, they’re gonna to feel you as at home, they ask for all to help you and always pending. The location’s house is ideal, in front of the beach and near the best restaurants of Midigama. I miss them, big hughs for Dilip, his wife and the real heroe. I hope to see you soon

Thank you so much to this beautiful family for my stay. The rooms are excellent value for money, clean and spacious. The location is great - right infront of the beach and only a few minutes walking to various cafes/restaurants. The street can be a little noisy but I still slept really good here. The family are so welcoming, kind and caring, they'll answer any questions you have, and invite you for dinner with them - and their cooking is amazing! Really friendly people. Thanks again :)

The family is very very nice!! We could sit together and chat, they coocked for us! They will help you with anything you need! The rooms are very cheap and clean

A few nights a week, the cheeky monkey music is loud. Maybe you need some earplugs and you will be fine

Lovely family starting on renting rooms at their house. I asked for a close supermarket and the owner brought me with his motorbike for a tour sightseeing to a big supermarket in Welligama, very nice people.

I stayed with Dulmi and Dilip for over two weeks and really found a new home here. We spent many evenings together, talking, drinking coffee and cooking some deliiiiicious dinners. The are both the absolute loveliest people! I'm so glad that I walked into this place and very grateful for our time here. Thanks guys it was a blast! I'll be back <3

Very clean, close to all the best waves in midigama and next door to the 3 best reataraunts in town too. The family are the nicest Sri Lankans I have met, so kind and caring. Spacious rooms and really nice bathrooms and a great outside area to do yoga.
