Reviewed Sep 19, 2026Geweldige locatie, super kamer, zeer comfortabel bed, Luc is de perfecte gastheer, de accommodatie is echt zoooooo vet aangezien het een zeer oude villa / kasteelachtige gebouw is die perfect is gerenoveerd. De kamer die wij hadden was best wel groot en sfeervol gerenoveerd en ingericht. Ook de rest van het gebouw is gruwelijk mooi. Ik zou er zo kunnen wonen 😎. Je waant jezelf in een sprookje.
Eigenlijk niets zo snel negatiefs te verzinnen.

Reviewed Sep 13, 2026La maison est magnifique, pleine de recoins et d’étages, avec une décoration entre Harry Potter et les Chevaliers de la Table Ronde. La chambre que j’ai eue était grande, avec une vaste salle de bains. Il y a une grande pièce à vivre pour y prendre ses repas et l’hôte vous laisse la cuisine à disposition si vous souhaitez vous préparer à manger. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et varié.
Rien. La seule chose qui m’ait dérangée c’est le son des cloches tôt le matin

Reviewed Sep 10, 2026De gastvrijheid en de B&b leek wel een museum. Wat heeft Luc hier iets fantastisch neergezet. Ogen kwam je tekort. Een heerlijk bed en een prachtige slaapkamer met een heerlijk biologisch ontbijt maakte voor ons het verblijf perfect. De B&B ligt in een oud historisch stadje. Als wij in de buurt zijn, komen wij zeker terug en kunnen dit verblijf van harte aanbevelen. Marianne en Jan.

Reviewed Sep 3, 2026Het gehele complex, de kamers de keuken de eetzaal. Alles was prachtig. En de uitbater cq gastheer Luuk was geweldig. Grote glimlach, rondleiding met trotse verhalen en informatie. Hierverblijven was een feestje.
Dat we eigenlijk maar 1 overnachting hadden geboekt. Het dorp Bascara en de omgeving is namelijk ook heel mooi.

Reviewed Aug 28, 2026Me gustó todo, una casa con encanto y muy bien decorada adecuada al estilo, las habitaciones muy amplias y camas muy cómodas y limpias, el desayuno muy bueno , su anfitrión Luca muy atento y amable te hace sentir como en casa. La casa se encuentra en un pueblecito muy cerca de todos los sitios de interés de la Costa Brava, en fin hemos tenido una escapada a Casa Bàscara fantastica, para repetir.

Reviewed Aug 26, 2026La casa es una maravilla. Está muy bien arreglada y sigue guardando el carácter de una casa de pueblo antigua. Además la han decorado con muchísimo gusto y detalle. La cama enorme y el baño nuevo y cómodo. Luc es encantador y hace que la estancia sea aún más agradble. El desayuno es rico y en el patio/terraza de la casa aún sabe mejor.
La cama es un poco blanda para nuestro gusto, pero enorme. Y el pueblo tiene poca oferta, así que es muy recomendable aprovechar la estancia para disfrutar de los pueblos y paisajes de alrededor.

The building had a nice charm. There was a place next to it, where we could park for free. Nice beaches were close with car (~30 minutes).

Reviewed Aug 21, 2026L'hôte est sympathique, nous avons été étonné d'être reçu par un belge néerlandophone. Cet ancien évêché a été transformé avec goût en maison d'hôte et se situe dans la vieille ville de Bascara, un coin tranquille proche d'une rivière avec balade possible aux alentours. Nous y avons séjourné juste pour une escale d'une nuit. Il y a qq petits restaurants à proximité bien sympa. Nous avons eu droit également à un bon petit déjeuner bien achalandé, Une adresse à retenir.
Le seul bémol est le carillon du clocher juste à côté. Pas besoin de montre, il vous indique l'heure tous les quarts d'heure. Si vous avez le sommeil léger, prévoyez donc des boules Quies mais moi, perso, cela ne m'a pas dérangé.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by our host, Luc, who gave us a complete tour of this beautiful historic property. In all my travels, I have never experienced a host inviting us to personally choose our room from the four available—such a thoughtful and memorable touch. Luc was exceptionally friendly, warm, and hospitable throughout our stay. The building itself is full of fascinating history and has been beautifully renovated while preserving its original character. Staying here is an adventure in itself: the hotel becomes a memorable part of the trip rather than simply a place to sleep. The rooms blend antique charm with modern comfort, and the beautiful tiled floors are especially impressive. Everything has been designed and maintained with great care. Our room had a very large king-size bed with an exceptionally comfortable mattress. We fell asleep easily and slept extremely well. The room also had excellent air conditioning as well as a fan. Another pleasant surprise was the exceptionally fast and reliable Wi-Fi. In many hotels—even modern four-star properties—the internet can be slow, unreliable, or practically nonexistent. Here, it was genuinely fast. Considering the age of the building and its very thick walls, this clearly shows how much thought and effort the owner has put into optimizing every detail. If this much care has been given to the Wi-Fi, it gives you a good idea of how thoughtfully the entire property is managed and maintained. Breakfast was good, and guests also have access to a shared kitchen equipped with refrigerators, a microwave, and everything needed to prepare their own food. The property offers ample parking and is very well situated as a base for exploring northeastern Spain. Overall, our stay was excellent in every way. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the region, and I would return without the slightest hesitation.

Reviewed Aug 20, 2026Къщата е много интересна - стара каменна сграда, в която е живял епископ. Стаята беше достатъчно голяма, банята беше голям колкото стаята :) и много добре оборудвана. Леглото беше огромно и много удобно. Над леглото има вентилатор, който раздвижва много приятно въздуха. Къщата разполага и с кухня, която може да се използва, което е супер удобно. Терасата е като лятна градина - с маси и столове за прекрасно прекарване с чаша вино на вечерта. Закуската беше много вкусна. Силно препоръчвам да посетите къщата. Ние вече сме планирали да се върнем тук отново догодина!

Todo muy bien. Lo único las campanadas de la iglesia con los cuartos y las medias incluso por la noche y la madrugada. Pero eso ya es responsabilidad de la iglesia, no de la casa.

Reviewed Aug 6, 2026El alojamiento es una obra maestra, parece un museo. Cuidan muchísimo el detalle. Nos quedamos impresionados. Todo empieza con un frondoso jardín, cuidado con delicadeza, regado a diario. Continúa con unas habitaciones que te hacen sentir en un cuento. Y termina con un desayuno variado.
Todo me encantó pero hubiera mejorado mi experiencia tener una neverita para poder guardar agua fria.

מעט קשה למצוא את המלון בסמטאות העתיקות של הכפר. כדאי לצרף הנחיות הגעה ומפה סכמטית של המיקום המדויק.

Reviewed Aug 2, 2026Fijne en bijzondere locatie met aangename eigenaar. Kamers zijn ruim, netjes, en zeer tof ingericht met veel snuisterijen. De eigenaar laat je ook vrij gebruik maken van de keuken waardoor je je snel thuis voelt. Aangenaam terras ook voor de koffie en ontbijt ‘s morgens.

v susedstve je tisíc ročný kostol, ktorý každých 15 minút nonstop odbíja čas. Zo začiatku rušivé hlavne v noci, neskôr sme si zvykli.

Eenvoudig ontbijt maar zeker voldoende. Super gemakkelijk dat je de keuken met frigo/diepvries kan gebruiken om zelf iets klaar te maken. Goede Spar winkel op wandelafstand. Ideale uitvalsbasis om de omgeving te verkennen. Een absolute aanrader !!

Reviewed Jul 13, 2026Das B&B ist schön renoviert, der Besitzer nett. Es gibt genug Parkplätze. Das Bett war bequem.
Das Konzept ist gewöhnungsbedürftig. Alles kann man ausleihen. Es gibt ein Regal, wo halbvolle Flaschen Shampoo und Seife stehen, gebrauchte Rasierklingen. Man kann die Küche komplett benutzen, man muss aber selbst einkaufen gehen. Das Frühstück war auch sehr überschaubar. Das B&B ist direkt an einer Kirche, da nutzen Oropax nicht viel. Die "Straßen" zum Hotel sind sehr eng. In der Beschreibung steht daß alles klimatisiert ist. Es gibt aber nur 1 Zimmer mit Klimaanlage, absonsten nur Lüfter. Uns hat 1 Nacht gereicht.

The rooms are renovated keeping the overall theme and style of the castle. The beds are super comfortable, that deserves a separate shout out! The place has a very nice terrace to have breakfast or just relax. The breakfast included was very nice with big variety of high quality local foods.

Het ontbijt is top, alles is aanwezig en je eitje mag je zelf bakken / koken. Alles klopt! Dit wordt ons vaste adres op doorreis naar onze bestemming in Spanje.

Reviewed Jun 13, 2026Der Gastgeber Luc ist ein sehr freundlicher und zuvorkommender Mensch. Er hat die Casa Bascara sehr stilvol und einzigartig eingerichtet. Bascara ist ein kleiner Ort eignet sich sehr gut als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge zum Meer oder in die Berge. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können Luc und die Casa Bascara wärmstens empfehlen.

Reviewed May 5, 2026Nous avons beaucoup aimé notre séjour en chambre d’hôtes chez Luc, surtout l’ambiance et le format d’accueil. L’hôte est très sympathique, parle plusieurs langues, et il était possible d’échanger aussi bien avec lui qu’avec les autres hôtes. Nous avions vraiment l’impression d’être venus chez quelqu’un en visite. Nous réfléchissons déjà à de futurs voyages pour pouvoir revenir.

Petite piste d’amélioration : rendre la terrasse plus accueillante dès le matin pour le petit-déjeuner.

Le village typique est trés mignon et facile d'accés en voiture, la maison dans un ancien palais épiscopal est absolument magnifique, restaurée avec beaucoup de goût, et très bien entretenue par le propriétaire, les chambres sont très spacieuses et très propres, le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse qui sent bon le jasmin est vraiment très agréable, la communication avec le propriétaire très sympathique et chaleureux est très facile et très intéressante, bref on a adoré notre séjour à la casa Bascara. Un vrai plaisir. Un lieu d'exception à ne pas rater. Merci Luc et bravo !

Reviewed Apr 21, 2026Sehr aussergewöhnliche Unterkunft in einem sehr alten Palazzo. Die Zimmer verfügen über den notwendigen Komfort, Frühstück sehr gut.
In der ganzen Ortschaft war kein Restaurant offen, man war am Abend auf Selbstversorgung angewiesen. Das aber mit Unterstützung des Hauses.

Since it’s right next to a church, the bell tolls every 15 minutes and every hour - but it wasn’t very disturbing even as a light sleeper.
