Townhouse room heerenhuys

Was prima voor mij , centraal gelegen in Eeklo

Niks

Superb location right in the middle of town. Hosts could not be kinder and friendlier. Very helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended place to stay.

Nothing

Bieden geen ontbijt. Wel koffie.

Kastruimte ontbrak.

Room with own bathroom in a beautiful building in central part of the town

Two months in Europe we stayed in more than 40 properties through Booking, this is the only one where the description was misleading. It is advertised as a 1 bedroom apartment with a kitchenette and under property highlights ‘the entire place is yours’ - it is not. It is a typical Airbnb room in the owners house, it also used for storing gym equipment, the kitchenette is very basic (no bread knife , cutting boards etc, so you can’t even prepare a sandwich) and is in the owners office. There is also no running water in this kitchenette, so you can’t rinse fruit/veggies, wash your hands or do your dishes. Parking is only free overnight and not in the day. Residents can park for free for up to 3 hours during the day with a Blue card, which we did not have (the owner lend us one). Furthermore, access was difficult. Booking mentioned a lock box. We heard nothing from the property and only after enquiring, 1 hour before arrival was send the details and then the code was incorrect and we had to contact the owner again. Although it was a good mattress, the pillows were lumpy, flat and stained. Unfortunately we booked two nights under the impression we could use it as a base in Belgium and prepare simple meals and not worry about parking - definitely our worst experience.

Ruime kamer en badkamer

Weinig te beleven in eeklo

Kamer en ligging

Niets

The host was attentive, wifi was good. The room was peaceful

Brak parkingu i niestety trudno o miejsce parkingowe, bo mieszkanie znajduje się w centrum Eeklo, ponadto miejsca płatne (chyba w godz. 10-19).

It felt cozy and at home. The owners communicated very well. The room is near the market with great food choices

Mooie ruime slaapkamer, simpele badkamer.

10/10 – Highly recommended! This guest room is the perfect base to explore Ghent, Bruges or Knokke. The train station is just a 5-minute walk away, and there’s plenty of free parking nearby. The room is spacious, spotless, and the bed is very comfortable. A nice bonus: terrace overlooking a quiet garden, perfect for a morning coffee. You even get a free Nespresso capsule, and there’s a large fridge to keep things cool. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. Communication is smooth, and they strike the right balance between being available and giving you privacy. Excellent value for money, I’ll definitely be back!

Our hosts went above and beyond to support our stay, they were easily contactable, approachable and very helpful. The room and bathroom were clean and had ample room for our needs, having two large opening windows gave the room a nice feel, lying on the bed with the windows open just chilling was very pleasant, importantly for us the bed was comfortable too, The location of the house is in a quiet one way street a minutes walk from the town center, there is plenty of choice of cafe's and restaurants which are near by as well as shops and supermarkets. On a Wednesday there is a large street market which is well attended, there is also two large churches which periodically play a musical peal of bells, this all adds to the feel of the town. Even the local people were friendly and helpful.

As the room and hosts fitted our requirements perfectly it's difficult to find negative points that are meaningful.

Heel gezellig en doeltreffend met smaak ingericht. En locatie perfect. En hele aardige verhuurders!

Nvt

Very cute and comfortable

I couldn't operate the TV that was the only issue.

Very quiet room and street. Close to the town center.

Great location with a couple of restaurants right around the corner.

Note that the parking is not on-site, its a public parking area a short walk away.
