DaVita Ranch

Dette var en spesiell opplevelse. Et spennende og sjarmerende sted med en imponerende hage full av vakre blomster og et stort utvalg urter. Vertskapet var svært vennlig, gjestfritt og inkluderende, og gjorde alt for at vi skulle trives. Vi fikk en hyggelig omvisning i den flotte hagen, der engasjementet og kjærligheten til stedet virkelig kom til uttrykk.

Det var rent og rolig rundt stedet. Perfekt for å slappe av. De ansatte vat hyggelige, og slo gjerne av en prat. Kunne ønske vi skulle vært der lengre, kommer igjen!

We booked for a family of 4 and had one of the buildings to ourselves. Vita and Helga who are the best hosts ever live in the central building. We stayed in Feb so was covered in snow. At the ranch they have plenty of snow shoes, overalls etc. even in kids sizes. There are even sledges you can use for the very quiet mountain roads. You will need a 4x4 if winter time. You get access to the hot tub, if other guests there it can easily be sorted out so you have private use of it. A new sauna has been built for an extra charge but it is well worth it. Just give them notice so they can heat it. Vita came along and gave us a foot bath and also face masks. She popped round most mornings with little treats for us all, but you also get your own family time. This is typical of Vita who goes a step beyond. We only booked one evening meal with her, 3 courses and all delicious. When she sends you directions, use her directions exactly. Do not use google maps alone. The road Google maps takes you is on what they call a tractor road and people can get stuck there for quite some time.

Breakfast and dinner prepared by the host were wonderful.

There is a bit of a rustic aspect to the facilities.

Everything...the surroundings the peace of the mountain the chance to get to see wild life and bird watching ...magnificent. My 9 year old daughter said she wants to live there forever!!!!
