Amazing garden, friendly host and easy instructions

The property was a great find! We had a family event in Levin and staying in Shannon meant we were only 16 minutes away. Communication with the hosts was super easy. The place was spotless and we found we had everything we needed there. Heaters in each of the rooms, a spacious kitchen to set you up for your stay, heat pump, dining area, cozy lounge and a great wash space. The rooms were wonderfully done up and the beds very comfy. We loved the fenced off front yard for our little one to run around and explore. It was only a 2 minute drive to the local four square and pizza boys for snacks and dinner. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend. We raved on and on about the accommodation to our family who were just as thrilled about the find as we were.

Great property, very comfortable, warm and a lovely house to be in, in a beautiful setting. The beds were comfortable, the hosts were great - everything was as good or better than expected.

Everything!…the house and its amenities were absolutely perfect I give credit to the owners for providing a wonderful peaceful home that my husband and I really enjoyed I loved the decor and the furnishings were perfect for the era of the house I studied interior design and can see that a lot of thought was put into the placement of furniture right down to the crockery and utensils Thankyou for showcasing your furnishings we loved your home❤️

Nothing everything looked wonderful

This was an excellent stay - our fabulous host went over and above to ensure that our team was able to check in promptly (at the last minute from our side). The house is well appointed, very comfortable and clean, and has been a highlight of our trip so far. Would highly recommend to other travellers looking for a spacious, relaxing place to stay.

Wat een leuk en ruim/fris huis. Goed ingerichte keuken en badkamer. De ruimte/tuin om het huis was enorm groot en met vele fruitbomen.

Dat we er maar 1 nacht waren.

Lock box instructions were clear, even in the dark.

What a little gem! John was absolutely lovely to deal with and the home is clearly loved. Beautiful flower garden, intentionally designed bedrooms, modern and well equipped kitchen. We had business in Levin and the motels left much to be desired so this was well worth the distance. Would recommend if looking for the character of a cottage with modern amenities.

Great value for money

Beautiful house with plenty of greenery. The house is immaculate and just what we needed. The house has everything you need and more. The kids got to explore the gardens and walk bare feet on the grass to stay grounded. Felt so safe being in An area where we were unfamiliar with. Checked out the local bakery and shops. Thank you for the best stay ever. Will recommend to all our family and friends.

Loved the peace and quiet

Beautiful gardens, spacious rooms, and incredibly comfortable beds. The soft, high-quality linen and towels were such a treat, and check-in was super easy. We absolutely loved our stay!

We could hear brief loud transportation noises at times (trucks, motorbikes, and trains), though this was likely more noticeable because the area is otherwise very quiet.

Great setting. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was modern and had everything we needed. We would like to return if other factors permit.

The effort that has been put into the accommodation! The beautiful bedding, the fire place and ample wood, the garden, the paddocks, the fruit trees. The open spaces, nature and that we could bring our dog! We felt like we had everything for a mom and daughter trip away!

Lovely place for a get-away with friends or family. Beds super comfy, kitchen with all the mod cons and equipment and a toasty fire and heat pump to keep you warm in winter. Shop .in Shannon close by. 😀

Mice ,but owner had taken steps to deal with this and asking advice from pest control, although we had 2 mice in the house that we saw frequently each evening and droppings on furniture and pillows on returning to the property after being out. Bath a bit grubby, but shower ok.

Location was awesome ☺️.Close to everything we needed to go to.

We had no problems

We loved the garden and the fruit trees, the big windows and the sense of space. I loved the smell of farm and nature when I went outside. I loved it that the outside space was split into sub-paddocks which made the whole seem larger. The huge trees were wonderful. The coffee machine was excellent.

Was so comfortable & Spacious Inside & outside the fruit trees, & gardens were spectacular, As well as the pantry & refrigerator condiments, I recommend this home to any one wanting accommodation in Shannon. I would definitely choose to stay here again, if I was to come to Shannon again, & it was available. Thankyou for the Awesome Stay🥰

Maybe a polish update to the bath tub

This house is a gem. Very tidy, stylish, and comfortable. Well situated between Palmerston North and Foxton.

My kids and I liked the property. We love the old villa vibe. It is a beautiful property. The beds are devine to sleep on. It is a gem hidden away and we will definitely be returning next year.

A very beautiful property, and very clean and spacious.

It’s not that I didn’t like it, but would maybe add a high chair for toddlers or babies to sit and eat in the kitchen, but other than that everything exceeded our expectation.

Loved the property and the house had everything we needed.

1) The kitchen is well provided for. Quality appliances. 2) The bed is super comfortable. 3) Clean & tidy. 4) Beautiful garden - flowers were blooming!

Renovated interior was very nice, comfortable beds, nice linen, it had everything we needed. Home away from home.

Beautiful house and grounds. Was very comfortable and tidy.

Loved the setting of the property. It was extremely well equipped and modern inside. The fireplace was great, and the large smart tv was appreciated. The kitchen has all the mod cons and is spacious and allows for great socialising. The double garage was great for storing our bikes in. If I come back to Shannon, I'll definitely stay here again.
