Duck Cottage

Beautiful, well appointed cottage with all the amenities.

Chilly.

It was just great thankyou ☺️

It said otane really I think should be waipawa, closer to waipawa,we spend sometime looking for it in otane and maps really weren't that great

Een fantastische plek met alles wat je nodig hebt. Prima ontbijt, ruime kamers, gewoon geweldig

Dat we niet langer konden blijven

The breakfast provided was excellent - with all that was available I could have eaten breakfast three times over ! Everything was provided for in the kitchen - fully equipped. Also very spacious rooms, and a deck with furniture. Access to the garden and the farm and animals. Enjoyed talking with the host. Everything on ground floor - no stairs. Very peaceful and quiet too.

There was absolutely nothing that I didn't like or could have been better - except I should have booked and stayed for more than one night - would definitely be a future destination.

A lovely farm stay with all you could need and more. We only stayed 1 night but the host had left plenty of extra drinks and food that we were welcome to help ourselves to. Such a lovely touch and made us feel right at home!

Breakfast was awesome, so much variety

Tank water but certainly not an issue

The cottage is comfortable, well equipped, very clean and had a good stock of essential supplies. Enjoyed the coffee making options available. Fresh eggs a lovely bonus. Host supplied good level of information.

Nothing. Had a wonderful stay at Duck Cottage

We had a lovely stay at Duck Cottage. The property was well set up with everything you could need, plus a few luxuries. Our 1 year old loved the enclosed back yard and visiting the farm animals. Would definitely stay again!

We stopped at Duck Cottage for a night on our way from Gisborne to Wellington. It was perfect for us. We have two kids under 3. They enjoyed walking round the paddock to see the animals and there were several toys and games to keep them entertained. The unit was clean, comfy and spacious. Lovely drinks in the fridge and a wonderful breakfast was provided. It was a great restful stop in a rural location. Would definitely stay again.

We booked Duck Cottage for a visiting Locum’s accommodation and were thrilled with her feedback. The cottage was beautifully set out, in a lovely peaceful country setting, with all the facilities of home. Our guest enjoyed fresh duck eggs as part of the continental breakfast, which was a real treat. The cottage was a convenient distance to town for all her needs, but this was hardly needed as the fridge was well stocked with refreshments. Duck cottage was described as a palace when compared to the local motels. After such fantastic feedback, we will definitely be booking Duck cottage for future locum accommodation.

Beautiful property, very well equipped, wished we could have stayed longer. Hope to re-visit next year.

Nothing

Liked the rural setting and the open deck

Beautiful setup cottage for our family stay over. Host was very helpful checking all was well. Comfy bed, kids slept well on the fold out couch bed. All the amenities you could want or need on your stay, including wifi, aircon, and coffee machine! We enjoyed a beautiful breakfast with fresh eggs from the farm chooks and ducks. My daughters loved seeing the animals. We look forward to staying there again in the near future.

Beautiful tranquil spot, gorgeous decor and super comfortable amenities. Private, peaceful space to enjoy a night away. We loved the little extra touches and delicious breakfast and coffee provided. We'd love to return with our child as well for a slightly different experience in the future - she would love it too. 🙂🍄🐐 Thank you for providing such a lovely space!

I can't think of anything.

Very well appointed, breakfast supplied including duck and chook eggs, quiet, lovely rural setting, spacious. We just felt we were in a home away from home. The owner was super helpful.

I don’t think there was anything I didn’t like about the place or the cottage.

plenty of room nice and quiet

Excellent, roomy cottage to the side of the main house. Stayed for work but arrived late and had to leave early so didn't get to enjoy the property. Would definitely recommend & would look to book here again when next in the area
