Villa Urbain

A typical Flemish house, near a distinctive gateway into Bruges.

There was roadwork that was bothersome during the day and made difficult to reach the house. The access bridge to Bruges was closed—even to pedestrians—due to the construction. To reach the city, one had to walk for 15–20 minutes along a busy road. Since the work was long-term, it would have been fairer to mention it before booking rather than afterwards. The apartment, directly under the roof, gets very hot and is equipped only with a tiny desk fan, which is insufficient for the space. There isn't even a proper refrigerator to keep drinks cold—only a small wine cooler, which is also inadequate for the purpose.

Nice place in safe neighbourhood. Comfortably fit four of us (2 adults and 2 kids). Beds were comfortable and nice bathroom. Lovely bakery directly across the street and bonus of parking in a garage if you are happy to pay a bit extra. You can park on the street 6pm-9pm.

The mezzanine felt a bit precarious for our 10 year old who falls out of bed a lot and so we swapped with adults on the mezzanine. Lots of stairs to get to the top but we were prepared for this. Biggest issue were the roadworks and the fact you could not access the old part of the city via the nearest bridge across the river. I know this is not the owners fault but the implications of this need to be explicit as after one trip in and out of the old part on foot, we had to Uber it in and out with two children. Without the roadworks on the bridge and street we would have been there in 20 mins - so such a shame. We also were woken up by them very early on the Friday morning! Again, not the owners fault.

Well done out, liked the coffee, tea and basic plates and cutlery. Beds comfy, bathroom great.

Roadworks meant that access to town added 20 minutes walk into town. Would have been good to know about this prior to going. It was exhausting in the extreme heat walking the extra distance each day.

Kök fanns inte, litet kylskåp,vattenkokare och kaffemaskin var allt. Väldigt varmt på natten.

Top locatie, je wandelt zo naar de stad.

De kleine douchekop zit los en is niet in te stellen. Rioollucht/ vochtige lucht in het pand. In mei erg warm bij het bovenste bed.

Locatie is rustig, fijne bakker tegenover Inchecken en uitchecken werkt goed Koelkast op kamer is fijn en de douche is ook prettig qua straal en temperatuur

Er hing een hele vieze zwavel / riool lucht in het appartement Ook was het er heel erg warm terwijl het op de dagen zelf niet zo heet weer was (veel regen zelf gevallen). Het bovenste bed was houterig en was voor onze mede reiziger zeer oncomfortabel Bekleding van de stoelen is heel vies en alles is wat simpel en goedkoop ingericht voor de prijs die ze vroegen en de foto’s hadden we wel wat betere inrichting en sfeer verwacht En tot slot ook wat onpersoonlijk we hebben geen ontvangst gehad of berichtje of aankomst goed was. Geen herhaling voor ons maar als je een oké plek wilt waarvandaan je zo de stad in wandelt dan is het prima

- Location. It's not in the center but you can just walk a bit there. - It was clean. With bed linnen and towels for 4 people. - We were alone in the building - Contactless check-in/check-out

- Photos of the apartment are not reflecting the real condition. - Size. It's a small apartment with uncomfortable beds and poor design. - Very limited facilities. Furniture needs replacement. - The entrance door is in 1 m from the bed. - It's right on the noisy road, so we heard all cars passing by the building. - When outside temperature was just +17 it was already really hot to sleep under the roof. - The apartment is on the top floor, the stairs are really narrow. It's not suitable for sure for people who have some issues with walking.

Top locatie, dicht bij het centrum, gezellig van binnen, schoon en goede communicatie met eigenaresse!

We had to walk only ten minutes to get to the center of Brugge. The location is really ideal. The apartment is very couzy and confortable. We used the parking place, which was located only 200 meters away from the apartment and was very convenient. The communication with the service provider was excellent. They were readily available to answer all our questions. We would certainly recommend this apartment to family and friends.

Our apartment was on the third floor and there is no lift. The staircase is also very narrow. Bringing up the luggage could be difficult.

The location is excellent, within walking distance of the town centre with plenty of great breakfast options nearby. The host also recommended a place which turned out to be fantastic. There’s an amazing bakery just outside the property, and we ended up buying lots of fresh treats to take back to London. On another note, my kids accidentally left something behind, and the host was kind enough to post it back to us. Top marks!

Konum merkezi yerlere 15 dakika yürüme mesafesindeydi ulaşım için otobüs vardı ama biz yürümeyi tercih ettik ücretli otopark için özellikle tercih etmiştik ancak geç rezervasyon yaptığımız için müsait değildi merkezde tren istasyonunun otoparkına arabamızı park ettik çok problem olmadı tren istasyonundan yürüyerek rahatlıkla gezilebilir yol üstünde güzel yerler var sessiz sakin ve çok güzel bir şehir otelin konumundan etrafı izlemek çok zevkliydi iyi dekore edilmiş rahat bir oteldi temizdi odayı çok beğendik asma tavan ile yapılan bir yerde iki ikilik yatak ve ayrıca iki kişilik yatağı olan bir odaydı dört kişi rahat ettik odada su ısıtıcısı ve kahve makinesi var kahve ikram etmişlerdi teşekkür ederiz mini buz dolabı vardı Tam karşıda bir pastane var kahvaltı için buradan bir şeyler almayı tercih ettik ev sahibi mesaj ile gerekli bütün bilgileri gönderdi anahtar ile açıp kendimiz odaya girdik özenli hazırlanmış bir odaydı banyosu güzeldi banyoda duşa kabin yoktu etraf biraz ıslanabilir dikkatli olursanız problem değil bizim için olmadı odanın mimari yapısı bozulmasın diye yapılmamış olabilir

Sehr schöne Unterkunft, viel Platz - geräumiges Familienzimmer, ich war mit meinem Baby einer Freundin und ihrer Tochter dort! Die Schlafbereiche waren dafür gut geeignet. Das Apartment befindet sich in top Lage ca 5 min Fußweg in die Altstadt

Le logement est sympa. MAIS, de très mauvaises odeurs d egouts émanent de la salle de bain et parfument tout l appartement. J ai signalé le problème au propriétaire de l appartement, qui m à dit ne rien pouvoir faire dans l immédiat. On s est mit d accord par message pour un geste commercial, qu il n à jamais effectué. Il ne répond plus au messages. Un escroc.....

Super lokacija. Prijatan ambijent. Udobno i čisto. Ljubaznost domaćina i pomoć oko parkinga.

Nou we kwamen op onze Zolder verdieping en wat leuk gemaakt,en nog geen 500m van begin centrum waar we de meeste tijd waren.het ging ons ook om brugge en voor mij was het de eerste keer b&b .vond het geweldig dat gaan we vaker doen

Uitstekende locatie om Brugge te bezoeken Leuke inrichting en nette badkamer Boeking en aankomst met sleutelkluisje verloopt vlot

De voordeur van het gebouw was stuk en sloot niet af. In de badkamer hing bij aankomst een sterke afvoergeur die we weggewerkt kregen door alle afvoeren even goed te spoelen en dan uit voorzorg dicht te doen (lavabo) of een handdoek erop te leggen (douche) Het bed boven maakt veel kabaal bij de minste beweging van de personen erin. Dit leed helaas tot minder nachtrust voor iedereen.

Excellent place to stay in Brugges. Beautifully decorated, walking distance from the city center. Parking space available. There’s a bakery in front.

All perfect.

It was very spacious and comfortable, the light was super nice and really clean. It was near to the city centre.

There was a strange smell in the bathroom, maybe because of the pipes. The shower didn’t have the option to be really warm. The cushions were too soft.

Excellent location - easy walk to the main square. Dedicated parking spot nearby (extra fee) was a bonus. Property was as described - spotlessly clean and quiet. Great communication with owner before and during our visit.

The decor is beautiful and the set up was perfect for us with the two kids (9 and 11) sleeping upstairs in the mezzanine. It is very comfortable. The shower is fantastic. There are tea and coffee facilities. The location is perfect for visiting Bruges (20mins slow walk to the central square) and then escaping to a quieter area for the evening. There is a bus to the door from the station and back.

We loved everything. If you were older or very young kids there might be too many steps to the apartment and the mezzanine would not be suitable but it was perfect for us. There is no fridge.
