Reviewed Sep 19, 2026We enjoyed our stay in Limehome Basel Town Hall. I love the way they care for guests. - at the entry there is the area where you can sit and also have your tea or coffee. We met receptionist occasionally but I have received the link with the option to request earlier arrival, redeem breakfast QR code or to book the storage on the day of arrival or departure for free. Also they communicated with me through Whats App too. The location is wonderful - right in the city center - 2 minutes from Town Hall and from the tram stop. Beds and pillows were comfortable (the way I like). The tea kettle and coffee machine were available in the room. In the middle storage box we were not able to fit 2 middle storage trolleys, so we left the second one unattended for 2 hours. All was ok when we come back to collect it.
I have booked the accommodation with breakfast included option for four days. However, I hadn't noticed at the time of booking—and I’m not even sure if it was mentioned in the main description—that on weekends, breakfast is served FROM 8:00 AM at a nearby café (1 min walk). The accommodation provider referred me to the café, but they didn't have an alternative solution for us either. So we ended up missing out on breakfast for 2 days because we had tide time scheduled program starting at 8:00 AM- we could not adjust that. We thought they might at least offer a complimentary croissant or tea/coffee later in the day, but even that was refused. Just mentioning the breakfast was excellent (choice of 4 menu) for 15CHF/person.

Dadurch konnte er nicht auf das Zimmer, da ein weibliches Foto verlangt wurde. Nur durch Zufall war eine Dame da, die helfen konnte. Das war nur durch viel Druck und mehreren Anrufen beim Anbieter möglich. Ein ganz schlechter Service

The location is excellent, right in the city center and within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops, and major attractions. The apartment was very clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The bed was particularly comfortable, which made for a great night's sleep. The facilities were modern and everything worked seamlessly. I was also impressed by the overall value for money, especially considering the central location. Overall, a great accommodation choice in Basel. I would happily stay here again.
Would be great to have a safe in the room.

Die ganze Registrierung hat mich viel Nerven gekostet. Das Zimmer ging erst beim 5. Versuch auf und auch das reservierte Aufbewahrungsfach liess sich nicht öffnen.

Reviewed Aug 31, 2026Perfect location to explore the beautiful city of Basel! The room is small but it’s silent and clean and a good nights sleep is a sure thing. Was expecting more of a kitchenette. I got a small cart with coffee and tea things. There was a kettle so I was happy. Very cosy. The lounge on the main floor was welcoming with coffee and tea always available and comfy couches.
The shower smelled like mold or something. Very strong. I couldn’t bring myself to use it.

Solo in alcuni momenti alla reception è presente una persona, ma essendo tutto automatizzato (ceck in e invio dei codici) questo non ha creato problemi. Pur essendo sopra un bar, la camera era ben insonorizzata.
Avevamo prenotato (gratuitamente) un deposito bagagli grande con tanto di scompartimento assegnato, che però è stato occupato da altri clienti in quanto il box non viene bloccato all'atto della prenotazione. Non è rimasto altro da fare che occuparne altri due per farci stare tutte le valigie, e qualcuno che forse aveva a sua volta prenotato è rimasto senza.

Although we had digital Basel card, we have walked everywhere in the city. If you have breakfast with your rezervation three optional breakfast is served a nice cafe near the hotel. Check-in/out, door opening, building access, and all the processes are very convenient, I really like how everything worked! A lot of nice restaurants around and I was lucky getting a room with an amazing view from my bed.
There are a lot of the plug sockets in the room, but there are only the basic old-school ones. And I was looking for a more modern one that I can connect directly with my usb cable and I couldn't find one. So please be prepared for this! Even though there're many accommodations providing already this new system.

Reviewed Aug 25, 2026Die Ausstattung war top. In der Küchenzeile gab es sogar Salz, Pfeffer, Essig und Öl. Im Kühlschrank stand schon ein Krug Leitungswasser - ein tolles Service, da das Leitungswasser nicht sehr kalt rauskommt. Es gab im Zimmer eine Nespressomaschine, Kaffeekapseln, einen Wasserkocher und Teebeutel. Einizg Kafferahm habe ich vermisst, aber den konnte ich mir bei der Kaffeestation unten in der Lobby holen. Das Zimmer war großzügig, das Badezimmer auch, es gab viel Ablagefläche. Wir waren überrascht, dass es doch eine reale Person an einer Rezeption gab, die man bei Problemen fragen hätte können.
Der Ausblick war natürlich nicht berauschend in Richtung Innenhof, aber dafür waren die Nächte ausgesprochen ruhig. Im WC war die Klobrille defekt und ist immer wieder verrutscht. Das ist aber auch das einizige, was wir beanstanden können,

Abbiamo contattato il servizio clienti in serata e ci hanno risposto immediatamente, dimostrando grande disponibilità. Inoltre, hanno soddisfatto tutte le nostre richieste fatte prima dell’inizio del soggiorno. Sicuramente prenderò in considerazione, per i miei prossimi viaggi, anche le altre strutture della stessa catena presenti in altri Paesi.
Unico aspetto da migliorare è il sistema di ventilazione, che non può essere regolato autonomamente dall’ospite.
