MLB Beachfront Apartment

We booked this place last minute, and the location turned out to be perfect...especially if you love the beach, snorkeling, and a peaceful Philippine holiday in the province. It’s situated near a local residential area, giving you a chance to engage with the friendly locals as you walk along the shore. My family and I felt completely safe in this small community. ​The staff are truly lovely, incredibly helpful, and work so hard to keep everyone safe...please remember to be kind to them! The rooms aren't that fancy, but they are very clean, comfortable, and practical for basic needs. Plus, there are several restaurants just a 10-minute walk down the road in either direction. We would definitely stay here again!

Location is convenient and the staff is super nice. Room are clean and the bed is confortable. Ok for a short stay.

For a long stay, it is not so confortable. The room need to be refresh, it’s old and smell humidity. Somehow towels don’t dry the body 😂

What we liked was the view from our window and the beach, just a 2-minute walk away. There were no tourists here, just locals and children. It’s a more rustic and less commercial beach, offering a glimpse into a traditional fishing village. We enjoyed watching the sunset.

Gemessen am sehr günstigen Preis gibt es hier noch nicht einmal an der einfachen, aber zweckmäßigen Ausstattung etwas zu kritisieren - geschweige denn an anderen Punkten. Die meisten Gäste der insgesamt 6 Apartments waren Paare und hatten ein Schlafzimmer mit abgetrennter Mini-Küche. Wir hatten stattdessen ein zweites (etwas schmaleres) Doppelbett für Kinder. Im eigenen Badezimmer funktionierten die Toilette und das kleine Waschbecken gut, Toilettenpapier war immer ausreichend vorhanden, die Bum Gun war sehr stark, und die Dusche konnte man heißer stellen als irgendjemand das wollen könnte. Häufig auf den Philippinen und so auch hier: sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal! Hier wurde das aber noch übertroffen, denn wir wurden einigeladen und auf Motorrollern mitgenommen zu einer echten philippinischen Festa mit einem ganzen Spanferkel (Lechon), Humba, Adobe, Leche Flan und vielen weiteren Köstlichkeiten - ganz ohne Gegenleistung! Ein kulinarisches und kulturelles Erlebnis! Leider nicht typisch für die Philippinen, aber hier mit freudiger Überraschung genossen: Ein hohes Maß an Sauberkeit, wie man es sich eigentlich überall wünscht, war hier eine Selbstverständlichkeit! Die Nächte waren für philippinische Verhältnisse recht ruhig: Es gab zwar ein paar Hähne in der Nachbarschaft und dort an den beiden Festa-Abenden (s. o., 1x im Jahr) auch Musik, aber die kleine MLB Apartment-Anlage ist zu jeder Zeit ruhig und erholsam. Es sind nur ein paar Schritte hinunter zum öffentlichen (und daher ziemlich ungepflegten) kostenlosen Sandstrand. Die Hauptstraße ist außer Hörweite und dennoch wunderbar nah (kleine Besorgungen oder spontane Tricycle-Fahrten fast immer möglich).

Ich habe eigentlich immer etwas zu "kritteln", aber hier fällt mir tatsächlich nichts ein. Wir hatten das perfekte Basislager für 1 Woche Strand und Tagesausflüge auf Siquijor.

Cute hotel with direkt sea view and located in a quiet part of the island, yet just a short trip from the port. Water dispensers are available outside the room and the room's standard is perfectly adequate for the price point. Staff helps with booking of tricycles if needed, you can also rent mopeds from there.

Keep in mind that the location is away from the island's towns so you will have to organise transportation to get around, few things are just a walk away. AC only has on/off setting instead of setting a temperature, making the nights a bit chilly with AC on as there is also just a sheet instead of a blanket.

Simple amentities and super friendly staff

The bathrooms are built for shorter people. It's inconvenient and manageable. Dogs barking at night and roosters in the morning so bring earplugs if you want to sleep with the window open. .

The staff was amazing. The room was clean and comfortable. It's really close to the beach, but not necessarily close to other amenities such as restaurants etc., but that is not a bad thing as it is very quiet. If you have a rental vehicle it really is no big deal.

Tiene buena relación calidad precio. Tiene de todo para poder hacerte tu una comida fácil.

Unless you enjoy walking as I do, a scooter is definitely required as there are few nearby services, shops, etc. Also, there is a group of stray dogs that have chosen to stay because some guests foolishly feed them. Very annoyng when they all start barking in the night. Staff and management are well aware of this issue. It is common to the region, and the country.

Для тех кто понимает , месторасположение супер прямо на берегу. Жил много где на Филах , первое место где с 4 утра не орут петухи ,номер не маленький кровать очень удобная кухня в номере , есть все что нужно чтобы приготовить покушать. До причала три минуты на байке . На байке до любого пляжа 20-30 минут остров очень интересный все супер на рецепшене есть всегда сотрудник , в душе есть горячая вода и хороший напор!

The view is excellent. The staff is great. The place is clean.

Es stand immer frisches, gekühltes Wasser zur Verfügung. Zum Strand nur eine Minute Gehweg. Nicht direkt an der Hauptstraße, also mäßiger Verkehrslärm.

Kühlschrank und Kocher außer Betrieb. Terrasse wegen aufdringlicher Hunde nicht nutzbar. 24 Stunden lang laute Musik.

El apartamento se encuentra a unos metros de una playa que no esta nada mal. Buena relacion calidad-precio. El lugar es tranquilo y la habitacion lo suficientemente grande. Tener una cocina para preparase algo ya que no hay muchos sitios para comer en la zona.

Esta alejado de la zona turística y no hay muchos sitios para comer cerca.

Great Escape from noisy party goers world

The staffs are very accommodating and friendly. We stayed for 2 nights and we requested if we can transfer on the 2nd night on the 2nd floor so that we can have a sea view, and luckily they agreed. We also requested if we can rent their motor for only 12hrs on the 2nd day since we are leaving at noon, they also agreed. The place is also big and has its own kitchen.

The shampoo and the body wash container is not working so you need to manually get the liquid, and we ended up buying toilettes. The TV on the ground floor is not working.

The staff were nice and the nearby ocean.

No shops were nearby.

Name is misleading its not beachfront

Address is not accurate on booking site this is located nowhere near a city centre, it was lucky we had scooters. Much better hotels on island

The room was very large, comfortable bed, nice staff and you can rent a scooter from the reception.

There were quite a few insects, some larger than we would’ve liked, making their way into our room, which wasn’t exactly pleasant. In addition, there were ants everywhere, and even though the hotel provided insect spray (which we used generously), the strong smell made the room less enjoyable, and the ants still managed to return from somewhere. The location is also a bit far from the main parts of the island, so you’ll definitely need a scooter to get around. That said, it is conveniently close to the port.

The brownout is almost 6 hours and there is no generator. So no electricity,no wifi no connection at all.

Close to Siquijor Port, staff are very helpful and the rooms are clean.

We had trouble finding our way to the exact location which is just in Siquijor, booking.com has different link to their other properties in San Juan. We have to use MLB website for their exact address. The contact number provided is not updated. please ensure to update it. We arrived at night and had a baby with us which caused unpleasant travel experience.

This was a wonderful quiet and laid back stay at the MLB apartments. The location suited us perfectly as we were looking to stay further away from the hustle and bustle and touristic hotspots but we were still close enough to scooter to lots of the amazing destinations on the island. This was by far the cleanest place we have encountered thus far in the Philippines and to no surprise as the staff were so friendly and took care of every small detail.

Location was quiet which was ideal but sometimes needed to drive further away for more activities. But this is also what we enjoyed, as it was more quiet and relaxing than other areas

Things were as they were described as far as the unit is concerned. Good quiet aircon. Very comfortable bed. Hot water.

Not really their property. But the beach in pics looked great. However, observing other people in the water, it was probably 100+ meters before water was waist deep. Also there seemed to be either young coral, or smashed coral as far as you could tell, maybe only 4-5 inches tall but jagged very sharp edges on all of it. We forgot water shoes or even flip-flops for walking in the water. All attempts to walk out to deeper water were unsuccessful due to excessive pain trying to walk on the coral. So anyone planning on using the beach, HAVE WATER SHOES OR GOOD SANDALS OR FLIP-FLOPS. OR feet of steel.

Seaview apartment, nice quiet complex, friendly helpful staff. I got a very discounted rate because of cancellations due to bad weather which made it great value.

The interior of the apartment is designed weird and the finishings look handmade. If I'd paid full rate I'd be disappointed. Stray dogs everywhere on the complex, and on the beach. .

100m from the beach, excellent value for money. Loads of space, large studio.

Rainy season, no generator with power cut

The staff was helpful. We arrived late because of a delay and I think one of the staff members stayed on duty just for us.

The room was small, too small for four people. The bathroom is not a good situation. It is essentially a large shower stall that contains a sink and a toilet. There is no separation. Also the water heater did not work. Cold showers are ok but the shower head barely sprays. I think it became clogged 5 years ago. The free drinking water was a big plus, and there is a decent beach very close by. I thought I was splurging on a really nice place, but it was not a good value overall.

Very nice place to stay because it’s really quiet and the staffs are very friendly, welcoming and helpful to us as a travellers.

There is no signal for phone call, but they have wifi as an alternative. And the stores are kinda bit far away, and it’s recommend to have/rent a motorcycle or a car.

It was a little bit out of the way of everything and the bathroom was tiny

It was comfortable. It had hot water in the shower with plenty of pressure. There was a kettle and a fridge. A little kitchenette where you could have prepared and cooked something.

There was ants everywhere, kept waking me up in the night, walking over your face and arms and legs , if you didn’t cover them, only one sheet on the bed to cover yourself.

Apartment was clean, comfortable.Good price. staff helpful and friendly.Aircon and fan in the room.Good mini fridge and a mini gas stove for cooking is very useful, you also get cutleries for 2 person, which is very good. Future costumer may prepare extra butan gas tank. Toilet / shower is a little bit tight, especially if you are a well built person , but it was clean, good water pressure,hot and cold water, which is also very good. I'm very satisfied with the place.

Room needs a bit of renewal, like furniture for the kitchenette, and would be nice to put a toilet brush on the bathroom, in case if needed. And lastly, which is not the owners fault, the whole Island of Siquijor is a non smoker island. For some people this could be a challenge.

They rent scooters. 50 m from the beach. Free water dispenser. In front of each room is a table with 2 chairs to sit on the communal balcony.

We booked the hotel, because its close beach. But the beach is not very nice. No real restaurant in the complex, no possibility to buy drinks. The offer rice and eggs breakfast though. Room very basic furnished, especially the bathroom. Shower is 20 cm away from the toilet. Early check in was possible, they charged 100 pesos per hour extra and were very strict about the calculation. It didn't give us a welcoming feeling.

Its very far from everything and they did not have any food at the accomodation. Would be very difficult to stay here without a motorbike. Tried to charge me 200 pesos for a 7 min ride to the ferry, when I caught a bike for 50 pesos.

There was no pool as advertised, I believe their other location in San Juan does have one? We had ants in the room, there were no restaurants within walking distance, the nearest one was a 10 minute drive away, they offered breakfast that would be delivered from another location at 8am, way too late and probably cold. If you are looking for an excellent value away from the main area this is a great place to stay.

I really enjoyed my stay in MLB Beachfront Apartment. My room was exactly as shown in the booking.com fotos. Clean and the bed was very comfy and it was very, very quiet in the nights. I slept like a baby. But even more than the room with seaview itself, I liked the staff. Super friendly people, I could always sit with and having a chat. Was always fun. I really enjoyed that. These great people from MLB Beachfront are the reason why I travel!!!! Thank you very much for your hospitality and I wish you all a fantastic year 2024. Big hug to all of you ladies, Monday

Location : Near Larena and Siquijor Port but far from tourist spots. If you have motorcycle location is not a problem like us. Room: Very Spacious and comfy. AC is excellent. Comfort Room: Spacious and they have hot/cold water. Staff: Very approachable Staffs (Buotan Kaayo) Internet: Very good wifi but no signal for all networks inside the room.

Okay so if you’re looking for peace and quiet then it’s perfect, it’s on the beachfront and you can step out of your room, 2 minutes you’re in the sea. if you’re a backpacker/traveller, you’re pretty far away from everything - bars etc. however v close to the port which is handy. the beds are comfortable, but you only get a sheet which I think they should provide proper duvets for comfort.. air con is good. wifi slightly temperamental but did end up working most of the time. safe parking for scooter

to be honest it wasn’t THAT clean, the bedding was clean but the ‘kitchen’ hadn’t even been cleaned when we checked in, their was tea spillage marks under the sink and the sink was filthy. you can’t claim their is ‘cooking’ facilities in the apartment when you can only cook behind reception and this isn’t desirable as it just doesn’t look very clean. taps need fixing! every time I turned the kitchen tap I got drenched and the bathroom tap is super loose.
