Reviewed Jul 18, 2026Great location: Near the train station, which was perfect since I needed to catch an early morning train. Short walk: Only about an 8-minute walk away.Affordable: Very reasonably priced compared to other nearby hotels. Complimentary snacks: Free-flow water and cookies were available.Welcoming service: The female host was very nice and made an effort to communicate, even though she didn't speak English. Helpful amenities: They loaned me a phone charger since I had accidentally bought the wrong type. Clean space: The rooms and toilets were clean and neat, though the shower area felt old and dated.
No TV channels: The television did not have any programs available.Hard to find: Google Maps leads to the wrong location. You actually need to walk straight, cross the road to a dark brown apartment, and press the call bell labeled "Monaco House" so the host can let you in. It would be helpful if they provided photos of the entrance. Power outages: The power blacked out a couple of times, though it was fixed quickly after we called (No response to booking.com messaging). It seemed like a one-off breaker switch issue. However, due to the language barrier, the host misunderstood and claimed the blackout happened because my room door was open. In reality, the door was closed and locked both times, as I was in the toilet when it happened. Noise issues: My room was near the pantry, and I could hear people talking after 11:00 PM. This ultimately depends on whether the other guests are considerate.
