The owner was super friendly and welcomed me personally! The room was very authentic and spacious for the middle of Florence. I could walk everywhere by foot!

The staff were friendly. It building and furnishings have an old world charm. It was in a relatively quiet part of town a pleasant stroll from the main touristy parts. It was incredibly hot when I arrived by the staff altered my booking, at no extra cost, to a room with air conditioning

Da die Unterkunft keine Klimaanlage hatte war es im Sommer unglaublich warm im Zimmer außerdem sind es ein paar Treppen zu laufen.

The view of the room was very pretty. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was very clean. The host is very friendly and helpful

Wifi did not work all. 3 flights of stairs with no elevator access and all of our bags made it difficult. We paid for a room with 2 beds and it didn’t say shared bathroom like the other rooms but we only got one bed and a shared bathroom with not great facilities. There was nothing to dry your hands in the bathroom and i accidentally used the bidet towel which I saw later had poop stains all over it. Gross.

El hotel está bien, la habitación también, tiene lo necesario, la cama cómoda, baño limpio y buena ubicación, a menos de 10 minutos andando del centro.

Hemos ido en verano y no hay aire acondicionado, hacía prácticamente más calor en la habitación que en la calle y las noches han sido duras. Solo hay un aparato ventilador que puede valer por un rato, pero para dormir no, hace mucho ruido y no suelta aire frio. Luego un día el agua de la ducha solo salía caliente, poco agradable en verano cuando quieres refrescarte. Luego había días que limpiaban la habitación y otros que no, no entendimos el criterio.

Ho lasciato la stanza n. 7 questa mattina. Mi è piaciuta la posizione, la tranquillità della zona e soprattutto l'avere avuto tutto a portata di mano. Grazie per aver rappresentato "casa" per circa una settimana. Oltreché la città è stato difficoltoso anche lasciare la stanza questo ultimo giorno. Un ringraziamento speciale va ad Hansel per aver posto rimedio al problema "ventilatore" e ad Andrea per la sua tempestività nel rispondere e mettersi a disposizione. Ritornerò molto volentieri.

O colchão era mole e super desconfortável. O quarto era muito quente e a ventoinha disponibilizava não fazia grande alteração na temperatura.

The staff was very kind to us! They gave us and upgrade to a charming room with bathroom. The location of Casa Maya is very good!

The room we got didn't have air conditioner (only a tiny fan) and it was one of the hottest hottest summer days (not their fault indeed hehe).

Brak klimatyzacji, bardzo mała łazienka (jestem szczupłą osobą i ledwo się mieściłam pod prysznicem) i to, że pokój mieści się na 3 piętrze budynku bez windy, co bywało męczące.

Perfect distance to the historic center, central market and museums. The owner is good fun and I’m really thankful to his tips and suggestions.

What a wonderful building in a great area. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby and only a 10 minute walk to the train station. The bus and metro were also easily accessible. The owner was very friendly and approachable. He showed us around the hotel and offered advice and directions. The whole place was spotlessly clean, whoever cleans should be very proud of the job they do, simply excellent. Clean towels and linen were provided and the bed was very comfortable. Bedside lamps were also provided. There was a shower cubicle and sink in the room and you had use of a shared bathroom, which was also spotless and smelled gorgeous. Windows open over the street and provide lots of light during the day. Use of a water dispenser was free of charge and you were able to dispense ice-cold and boiling water. Free tea and biscuits were also available. If you prefer coffee, there is a vending machine for a very small charge. We were also provided with plug-in insect repellents. Oh, and the best bit! The two completely adorable labs that amble about. Absolutely gorgeous. The whole place is lovely, and I would highly recommend a stay here. All the little ‘extras’ and touches were very much appreciated

The steps were a bit much after a long day of sightseeing. There were at least 60 to reach your room, which is ok if you are fit and healthy, but I’m fat and fifty with a dodgy knee and really would’ve appreciated a lift. There is actually a lift in the building, but is not available to us pesky tourists! Air conditioning is available at 10€ per day, but we were on a strict budget and simply could not afford this. We were offered an air cooler which was very kind, but did little to appease the oppressive heat. At night we had to sleep with the windows open and this made it a little noisy - I was fine, slept like a log, but my daughter struggled. We had to wait occasionally for the shared bathroom as there only appeared to be one, but this is usually expected when you opt for a shared bathroom.

Pirmajā numuriņā ļoti sakoda odi uz ko bija alerģiska reakcija,tas mazliet bojāja ceļojuma prieku. Bet problēma tika operatīvi atrisināta.

The location was really good, in the historical centre, so excellent access to the Academy and the Duomo. The room was a good size, and the hotel had some handy extras available (cold water, some beverages and snacks). The staff were also lovely, and check-in and out were easy and efficient.

The wifi range in our room was 1 or 2 bars, which made it virtually unusable, even to load a text page. Further, given the weather was very hot, it would have been nice to have a fan that was a bit more powerful than the one in our room. Finally, the hotel was on the 3rd floor of a mixed-use building, and the elevator was only available to residents of the building, not to hotel guests - something to keep in mind if you'll struggle to get up a lot of stairs.

The staff were so unbelievably helpful, and provided such excellent service. The location was fantastic, right in the middle of town. Altogether, this was fantastic value for money as well as a nice stay.

It's a little old, but it doesn't detract too much from the experience. It felt like a small Italian bnb up 3 flights of stairs in the middle of town.

Chambre moyenne, pas de pression à la douche nous avons même essayé les douches commune: idem et quand il fait très chaud un filet d eau pour la douche c est pas le top! La télé ne fonctionnait pas . A part la proximité du centre historique rien de plus

Ugodno osoblje, smještaj na top lokaciji, samo par minuta pješke od Duoma i ostalih znamenitosti. Soba čista, kupaona također. Tuš je u zajedničkoj kupaonici, no sve je bilo toliko uredno i čisto. U hodniku su nas dočekali keksi, čajevi i ostale namirnice - dostupne za goste besplatno.. Vlasnik izrazito drag - dozvolio mi je da pustim torbe nekoliko sati nakon check outa u smještaju i stignem uživati još malo u gradu.. Definitivno bih opet odabrao ovaj smještaj i preporučio ga prijateljima.

Ascensore riservato agli inquilini dell'edificio, non a scopi turistici. Ventilatore poco efficace in un periodo di caldo molto intenso.

Loved this cute place. The whole place is filled with antiques and art. The room was big, had AC, a nice bed, and small sink. Super nice staff, very acommodating. I booked this last minute and the price was fantastic. So close to everything you need in Florence. Could not have been happier with this find. The shared bathrooms are kept well and seem clean. There is a coffee machine in the hallway.

Nothing! But keep in mind it's on the 4th floor with lots of stairs

駅から１３分ぐらいで、中央市場、観光客用レストラン筋を通っていけたのが唯一の良い点。

ホテルを信じて申し込んだのに、家族経営で、スタッフはきちんとした時間にいないことがほとんど。 部屋は３週間で５０万円も払ったのに、朝食はなく、共同トイレ、シャワー、夜シャワー浴びてると、２０秒で、洗面所の電気が消える。トイレットペーパーも言わないと補充してない。部屋にポットもなく、冷蔵庫はあったが、お湯は他のところにとりに行く。そのお湯のでる機械も壊れて、出ない時があった。タオルも言わないとかえてくれないし、言うと、３日ごとにかえてくれた。最悪だったのは、３週間後に帰る前の晩、タクシーの予約を頼んだのに、前の日は満車で取れない、と言われ、自分で電話しろ、と言われ、イタリア語ができないから、して欲しい、と頼むと、その時はOKしてくれたのに、夜に、隣の部屋の人に出会ったら、明日の出発１０分前に電話してあげる、と言われ、すごく不安になった。ここはホテルではないだろ、と思った。家族がみんなヴァカンスに行っていない、らしい。こんな最悪のホテル、海外でも初めてだった！

This is not your standard white-walled, minimalist hotel with large rooms and every modern amenity. If that is what you are looking for, this may not be the right place for you. However, if you value being within a 15–20 minute walk of Florence’s main sights and appreciate old-world charm over luxury, this is a lovely stay. The rooms are modest but comfortable, the shared bathrooms were spotlessly clean, and there is free hot/cold water, coffee, and hot chocolate available in the common area. The highlight is undoubtedly the rooftop terrace with its uninterrupted view of the Duomo — perfect for a morning coffee or a quiet evening. What made this stay special for me, though, were Andreas and his wife, who run the place with genuine warmth and kindness, along with their two beautiful four-legged family members, Sisi and Gary. A characterful and authentic Florentine stay with a fantastic location and unforgettable hospitality.

The location is excellent. It's right in the city center, but far enough from the busiest tourist crowds to feel more relaxed. With just a short walk, you're in the heart of everything, while still enjoying a quieter atmosphere around the hotel.

The room was quite different from what we expected based on the listing. The bathroom setup felt impractical, with the shower located in the room itself, a separate sink area, and a very small toilet cubicle with an opaque glass door. It lacked the privacy and comfort I would normally expect from a hotel room. Although this was one of the more affordable options available, €162 per night still felt expensive for what was offered. Overall, the experience felt more like staying in a hostel than in a hotel. Thankfully, we only stayed one night.

The property is close to the train station and major attractions. The host is very friendly and he has responded to my questions promptly. The facilities are sufficient. They even provide drinking water. Towels are of good quality

The location of the accommodation was fine for me. I was able to walk to major attractions and restaurants. It also had good access to public transportation. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

The lack of aircondition made it a little uncomfortable. Allthough there was an electric fan, which helped a little.

Gostei bastante da localização, da organização e dos cuidados como ter café, água, essas pequenas coisas são importantes para quem está viajando.

The property is very clean, in central Florence with most landmarks within walking distance. The host is really great and hospitable. He was kind enough to let us stay back even after checkout since I had my elderly mom travelling with me. He even upgraded our room with private bathroom; we were very grateful for this. A safe, clean accommodation within the heart of Florence that honestly has my heart ❤️

Great staff and very attentive (water fountain stopped working and they got it fixed right away)! Great location as well, very walkable to everything you could want to do!

The rooms were SO HOT. The shower in front of the bed made it so humid it was terrible, and there was no dehumidifier in the rooms either when it was definitely needed. ALSO, the showers went from ice cold to boiling hot.

I had an incredible stay at Souvenir Maya! The place was beautiful, super clean, and located within walking distance of the city’s main attractions, which made exploring so easy. The neighborhood also felt very safe, especially as a solo female traveler. I booked a room with a shared bathroom and was a little concerned at first, but everything was spotless at all times. There are multiple bathrooms available, so it was always convenient and never crowded. The whole place has such a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Andrea was absolutely amazing! He was incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful throughout my stay. I was lucky enough to manage an early check-in, which was greatly appreciated after arriving in the city. He also kindly allowed me to leave my luggage for a long time after check-out. You can genuinely tell how much he cares about his guests. He shared the fascinating history of the accommodation with me and was kind enough to show me the rooftop view of the building, which was absolutely stunning. I honestly wouldn’t think twice about booking this place again for my next trip to Florence. Highly recommended!

​Muy buena experiencia en Florencia. Inicialmente reservé por cuatro días, sumé una noche antes de llegar y, ya en el lugar, decidí agregar otra más. ​El personal fue muy amable y resolutivo ante mis cambios repentinos: hicieron lo imposible para conseguirme una habitación con baño privado, un gran gesto de cortesía. Además, el lugar cuenta con una estación de agua fresca y/o para tomar algo caliente. Muy recomendable por su excelente predisposición, la limpieza es buena y esta cerca de todo.

The location is excellent and have my own shower in he room.

The toilet is located in the hallway and is shared with other residents. During my stay, I found it ok as there were quite a few female residents. The landlord mentioned that some rooms have private toilets, but those are more expensive.

The place is really great, right in the heart of Florence. Also, the communication was really helpful.
