The amenities there were none, cleanliness, no proper housekeeping, dirty pool and garden, no breakfast proper facility.

La chambre manque d entretien, beaucoup de poussière...assez sale, et surtout pas de pression ni d'eau chaude dans la salle de bain.

Location was beautiful but everything takes 30 minutes by Tuktuk to get to the more lively areas in the South.

An amazing place where you can relax and enjoy the little lagoon with clear water and a lot of corals and colorful fishes! The property is very nice. The rooms are very spacious and clean with hot shower and everything you need. Breakfast is huge and very well cooked. The staff is very friendly and welcoming…always willing to help and assist the guests. I have already been here twice and for sure, if I will come back Dondra, I will book with them because they are the best in this town. Thank you 💚

Die Atmosphäre, das Personal und die Lage - es war einfach alles wunderbar. Die Einrichtung ist wunderschön und wir haben uns zu jeder Zeit wohl gefühlt. Beim Frühstück konnten wir zwischen Continental und Sri Lankan wählen und es waren beide jeweils sehr gut.

Omg the location!!!! It was a hidden gem!!! Walking distance to the lighthouse and the beach is just in front of the place. Though we read about some negative reviews about cleanliness, it was spotless. We stayed in the villa and it was huge! The pool was nice too. It was reachable by car and has ample parking. Food was good and the manager was friendly. Had a very memorable stay!

Vi borde 4 dage og fik ikke rengøring, bad om et hold rene håndklæder, ikke noget problem

Feedback for Management: Under the new leadership, we hope to see better maintenance of the premises and the villa pool. Increasing staff levels would help with the attention to detail needed to keep the facilities in top condition.

Die Art und Weise wie wir von der Managerin betreut wurden. Bei Ankunft hatte es viel Müll am Strand, was wir bemängelten, worauf sie sofort Aufräumarbeiten organisiert hat.

Der Strand entsprach gar nicht den gut photogeshoppten Werbebildern, wir fühlen uns betrogen.

Die Ausstattung ist neuwertig, man sieht eine erfolgte Renovierung. Das Zimmer ist schön gross.

Wynajęliśmy willę i dwa pokoje z balkonem. W każdym z pokoi był jakiś problem. Willa - brudny basen z odchodami obok basenu, brudna lodówka, prysznic sklejony taśmą, brak sprzątania w pokojach. W łazienkach częsty brak ciepłej wody, wylewająca się woda z toalety. Po zgłoszeniu problemu zaproponowano nam bardzo małą zniżkę w cenie. Szczerze nie zasługuje ten hotel na tak wysokie opłaty. Śniadanie - MASAKRA. Zela się na nie ponad godzinę. Codziennie to samo. Obsługa miła, chociaż bardzo nieporadna. Miejsce bardzo słabo zarządzane. Ogólnie bardzo nie polecam. Zepsuło nam to wymarzonego Sylwestra. Niestety nie było już nigdzie miejsca, aby zmienić hotel.

Management and service of this place was very disappointing. Booked in advance and asked for extra beds to accommodate children in double rooms, was told this wasn't possible on our dates, so booked an extra room to accommodate our group of 10. On arrival there were extra beds in 2 of the rooms, meaning we had overbooked, based on the incorrect information given by the manager. Various problems with 4 of the 5 rooms was booked. Villa - pool was dirty, TV didn't work (Dialog bill not paid), hand held shower was broken, curtain rail was hanging down. 2 deluxe doubles had multiple lights not working. Double room door wouldn't stay closed and whole barrell of lock fell out of door. Rooftop restaurant advertised on social media is not in operation. Food was good, but not even close to the standard in their photos. Was told only the Western breakfast was available, ordered it for 7.30 and was told that was ok, but full party didn't get meals until 8.30 or so. Meal was simple - toast, jam, eggs and sausages. We saw that they went out and bought eggs after some people got meals and others didn't. Basic service lacking - for a group of 10 people they would bring 4 glasses etc. Woman in charge was very unprofessional telling us that she couldn't cope and insinuating that we had broken the lock and shower! She complained at length to us about the amount of stress she was under and that she had been up crying in the night. Made a complaint to booking.com, the hotel wouldn't resolve these issues with them, but booking.com provided good service. A place with great potential if they get well trained and experienced staff, maintain the property well and have a change in management.

The property looks nice and tastefully done.

The stay started badly with a rude and unprofessional reception. We received our room 2 hours late, and the villa was not properly cleaned. The plunge pool was dirty, and the next day there was animal droppings near the pool, making it unusable. Despite informing in advance that we are vegetarians, the staff and cook were not informed. Breakfast was served only at 10.30 a.m. and consisted of just bread, butter, and jam. Staff were generally clueless about basic details like breakfast timings.

Toiletries could be a bit better and as the light goes for about half an hour at night maybe an inverter could be installed to run one fan and a light in each room ...

The location is lovely. Right at the southern most point of Sri Lanka next to a light house and a cute little bay with soft calm waters. The staff is exceptional and will go out of their way to make sure you are taken care off.

Not a negative point but the property doesn’t have elevators. So people who cant climb should request to be accommodated at ground floor

Bemühte Hosts, rundherum gibt es den südlichsten Punkt Sri Lankas, zu dem man spazieren kann und eine gemütliche Saftbar. Betten waren sauber. Das Abendessen war überraschend gut.

Die sozialen Interaktionen waren sehr speziell. Es fühlt sich ein wenig an, als ob man im Hinterland von einer Familie bewirtet wird, die nicht sehr oft andere Menschen trifft. Im Dinner Bereich läuft durchgehend Modern Talking auf voller Lautstärke, das Frühstück ist extrem simpel. Die Fotos auf Booking sind deutlich besser als das eigentliche Hotel, alles ist sehr simpel und etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich mit einem Erfrischungsgetränk begrüßt. Das Personal war wirklich sehr herzlich. Wir hatten das Deluxe Doppelzimmer, das sehr modern und auch sehr komfortabel war. Die Anlage drumherum ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber trotzdem schön. Es gibt direkt nebenan ein Restaurant, dass wir aber nicht besucht haben. Wir haben uns einen Roller geliehen (hier wurde uns auch recht schnell weitergeholfen) und sind dann in der nächstgelegenen Stadt essen gegangen.

Das Frühstück war etwas lieblos und auch eintönig. Am letzten Tag gab es dann doch noch mal etwas mehr zu essen. Es gab ausreichend Toast, mit Marmelade. Zudem gab es ein Omelette und eine Fruchtplatte oder ein frisch gepressten Saft. Grundsätzlich war das vollkommen ausreichend, wir waren wahrscheinlich nur von der vorherigen Unterkunft verwöhnt.

It is a very Basic Property. Near the Dondra Lighthouse. Rooms are ok types, very basic. The staff is very cooperative. they gave me a good vegetarian dinner and breakfast.

- Quiet and serene: The hotel is by its own little beach which is in a very local area, so you often have the place to yourself. - Rooms: The rooms are spacious and the bed is quite comfortable (not always a given in Sri Lanka!). - Staff: The staff were also very sweet and friendly.

- Location: it’s a bit far from more touristy beaches like Madiha / Mirissa, so be prepared for some travel time there - Cleanliness: the rooms did have some dust and cobwebs

The location- it’s a hidden gem!

The property it tucked in a pleasant cove, where even the the ocean water was rough waves, you could still play in the bay. But that wasn’t the best part- OMG the people, from the minute we arrived we were treated like royalties!!! We developed a beautiful friendship and parting was so sad!

Hotel Triton Dondra is a great choice for a south coast Sri Lankan stay. Located right at the island's southern tip, it offers nice, clean, and spacious rooms. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, readily assisting with transport and activity arrangements. Guests enjoy good food for both breakfast and dinner. Its location is conveniently situated between popular south coast hotspots, and the nearby iconic lighthouse makes it a very easy address for any driver to find. Highly recommended!

The wifi signal in the upper rooms is very weak - but who needs wifi when on vacation 😉

This is a well located new hotel and we had a very good experience with this place. The room was clean, de food was really amazing and the staff was very friendly and helpfull. They played with my daughter and take care of her during we had breakfast. The beach and the place is quiet, the Lighthouse area and the sunrise is so wonderfull. The location is not far from the famous and busy beaches for both directions. For example with taxi we could go to Mirissa beach and the Coconut Hill for around 25-35 minutes. If you are looking for a peacefull place as a starting point with a hotel which worth the money because of its service, location and people you can find it in here.

We had a great stay. Super close to the lighthouse located in a calm bay - southern most point of Sri Lanka. The Manager and all of his staff are super attentive. The food is very tasty and the standard overall is very high. The bay and views are amazing! 10/10! We will definetely come back!

The dining room seemed cold and boring with no decoration. The meals they cooked were very tasty. The breakfast was tasty, but not enough variety, no juice and not enough fruit.

We expected a more well-maintained facility, surrounded by plants, palm trees, ... a place where we could lie outside, more pleasant space.

We loved our stay here. The location is great, a little off the tourist trail, despite the lighthouse being so well known. The rooms are very clean and modern. The food is excellent and the cocktails are the close to the best I have ever had. Even better when drunk on the rooftop, overlooking the bay and lighthouse. The staff are great, super friendly and helpful. The owners have a great story and involve the local community into their business. As with all the best places, the people set it apart. We used the Triton as a great base to explore the area.

Really loved staying here, staff were amazing & so helpful. Food was incredible, and great for vegetarians - and hotel is in a lovely location, right by the beach, which is great for swimming. Would love to stay again!
