Easy to check in. Friendly owner. Great location; peaceful and quiet. Nice view despite the power cables in front of the balcony. Hiking routes connect to the village. Short drive to Sayq for supermarkets and restaurants.
The mattress of the double bed was very uncomfortable. Our backs and necks really suffered in the morning. We changed rooms the second night but the AC points directly onto one of the beds so I was very cold. Kitchen was mostly clean except the glasses and cutlery were stained, and covered in bits of the very old sponges that were being reused. This was disappointing.

The old vibe of living in traditional home with cozy place to stay
Cleaning specially kitchen equipment, boilers was not cleaned and sauna room was not working
We loved this heritage home - so beautiful decorated and lovely to eat outside overlooking the valley below. It's right on the three villages trail so you can just walk directly out your front door. The host was so kind and accommodating. Really a neat place to stay.
The road to get in/out of the area is very steep - you already need a 4x4 to get up to Jebel Akhdar, so shouldn't have a problem, but just be aware.
Best to get. All was so nice and beautiful
We had a fabulous stay at this authentic old apartment in the middle of the village of A’Sherageh. We loved meandering through the narrow lanes and discovering all the different traditional doors and admiring the incredible views of the mountains. It was just a short walk from the terraces too. The apartment had all you could need, from kitchen things, bathroom essentials, air conditioning in the bedrooms and plenty of hot water. The beds were lovely and clean and super comfortable. Be aware, there are stairs leading up to the top floor and balcony and that some crouching needed to enter the kitchen. This wasn’t a problem for us and just added to the fun and uniqueness of this place. There were coffee, dates and other snacks for us on arrival and they were very much appreciated, especially since we arrived late in the evening after a long drive. Our host answered messages quickly and was incredibly welcoming and friendly! We were even taken to his private rose farm one morning, which we were extremely grateful for since our original tour through a professional company was cancelled on us! It’s hard to find this level of kindness and care these days! We would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone!
Wondering if it might be possible to put up a rail and shower curtain so the bathroom doesn’t get so wet.
Beautiful, authentic experience, we really enjoyed the stay!
You have to be ready for lower ceilings and no luxury - but in exchange you get a beautiful experience!
Nice and clean authentic omani house.
Host contacted us to make sure he will be at the property when we arrived and explained how everything worked. I can say that this has been the most unique place I have stayed at during all my travels. We were greeted with dates, fruits and local drink. It was exactly what was needed for us after the long hike we had done before arriving here.
The Host is an amazing guy. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and we had everything that we needed. The house was stunning and it felt like we were in a museum. There was something unique is every corner. The beds were comfortable and overall we had an enjoyable time.
It was raining heavily during our stay so it was challenging to manage with the wet floors, however heavy rains are rare in Oman so the property cannot be faulted.

Really authentic house ! Good view from the terasse and 2 big rooms.
Cold water in the shower
We really enjoyed it here! Traditional house in historical village with amazing view and facilities. Great value for money!
النظافة يستاهل التجربة
I liked the way of managing the house and the weather at the place.
There is no washing machine. In addition: 1. There was no water for drinking. I asked the owner and then he brought some bottles of drinking water. 2. There was no iron at the location however when I asked the owner then he said he will provide. 3. The water pressure for taking bath is very low. It should be improved. 4. Just for other travelers please note that the property is located at the bottom of the cliff so be aware that you need L4 option to go up. Overall, property is good to stay.
تعامل الاخ زاهر كان جيدا
It was a fantastic traditional Omani home, with really beautiful touches in regard to the ornaments and traditional things around the house.
It needs a table on the balcony. And be very careful when entering and exiting the kitchen, due to the very low door!! Also, the last bit of road to the home is very steep.
One of the most unique places we’ve stayed at. We realized how much love the property owner has put in the house. Everything has been thought through. Old to new. View is amazing. And if there is anything, owner is so willing to solve it. He welcomed us with the Omani dates from the region and local fruits. That’s really unique. The hospitality! You need a 4x4 drive to reach the mountain and the place (required by government). So something to take care of before booking. If you’re going for a trek in the mountains, this is an amazing place to stay.

Very authentic but with modern facilities, toilets and electricity Location was very good in a small village . The owner provided a traditional breakfast which was superb
Good Location and the owner was an amazing guy
Found scorpion on the floor.
The house has been rebuilt in an old style, very pretty, that make you stay unique. It’s far better compare to the big hotels in the neighbourhood. The owner does everything to procure an amazing experience!

Great typical house in a charming village on the w18b walk. Great location. I recommend.
Great hospitality, great trading cozy place, great location creating a great experience. Must try
A unique accommodation showcasing the traditional way of life in Jabel Akhdar. The interior is thoughtfully preserved and restored, additionally furnished with many old items like a museum. Reasonably clean and well maintained. Well equipped kitchenette. The open air terrace offers nice mountain view, although the angle isn’t as optimal as the fancy clifftop resorts. The location is convenient as long as coming in a car, close to nearby village with amenities. Bedrooms are equipped with AC w/ heater to keep warm at night. It took us a bit of research to figure out trekking routes nearby (it’s actually right at one end of W18b). Would be good if the host can compile some simple guides for activities.
No WiFi (though cellular reception is good), hair dryer or washing machine available. There are quirks with the plumbing (water pump) which needs some tricks — had to turn on water tap to kickstart the pump before there’s hot water for the shower. Understandable and not bothersome once we figured out.

Wow! It is extremely authentic place (ala museum), well equipt, cozy with a nice balcony. Owner is very polite and friendly. Also great value for money. Definitely worth to stay.
I liked the traditional style of the typical omani style. The location was great. You feel by the village life far away from the hectic life. The resort pass by the hiking trail, and the farms

The place was simply amazing, took me back in time, rustic, antique place with beautiful artifacts and very comfortable filled with items more than necessary for comfortable stay. Would Love to visit again. View was stunning ❤️
The place is really unique! Definitely the most beautiful where we've stayed in Oman. Amazing, cozy, traditional Omani house. The owner is very helpful and friendly. We also ordered diner and breakfast and got delicious Omani food. Highly recommend!
