RAFA Shangarh

My stay at RAFA was quite comfortable and good. The location is just way too amazing. I didn't face any issues during the stay, Rakesh and Prince from the staff were very helpful and cooperative. The home made cooked food by them is too good. I will definitely recommend RAFA to anyone planning for a Shangarh trip. Will come again in winters.

Rafa is a fantastic place to stay in Shangarh! It is located very close to the gorgeous Shangarh Meadow and perfectly captures the serene vibes of Himachal Pradesh. Prince was a wonderful host—very nice, incredibly hospitable, and always ready to help. He served us great food and made us feel right at home. Highly recommended to everyone looking for a peaceful getaway!

I booked a chalet. The room wasn't cleaned properly, the pot was dirty, there was a scorpion in the room, and a used plate was also found under the bed. The next day there was a constant smell of sewage in our balcony.

Best ever host in Shangarh. If you ever visit Shangarh, I highly recommend Rafa. I'll definitely visit again and meet our dearest host, "Boga Bhai." The property was top-notch, offbeat, and had the best food. I came as a solo traveler but made so many awesome friends. Big love, Boga Bhai.

A beautiful home far away in the mountains. Well maintained property. Clean linens and blankets. The staffs are extremely polite and food was delicious.

The view from the rooms was superb. Aesthetic was on point for the urban homestay. We loved the food being served from their kitchen. Everything on menu was made freshly and certainly yummy. The host Boga was very polite and helpful catering to all our requests. We recommend this anyone looking for a serene experience in Himalayas.

Only pet peeve we had: Room acoustics can be improved. Sounds were audible from all neighboring rooms.

It’s beautiful and beautifully located. Govinda was amazing and helped us with a small hike personally. The food is delicious. The support staff is awesome.

Needs a common dining area ; More interactive activities considering it’s a hostel.

We stayed at Rafa, Shangarh for two days during our holidays and had a wonderful experience. The location is beautiful and peaceful—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The property itself is spacious and well-maintained. The staff were extremely helpful, cooperative, and always made sure we were comfortable. The kitchen was impressively clean and hygienic, and the food served was delicious—definitely value for money. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Shangarh!

The owner was super rude his name was Sunil the heater was not working the curtains were not covering half portion. It was very noisy no privacy!!

The food was exceptionally good. So was the view.

The rooms were not soundproof perhaps because of the wooden architecture. So sounds from every room were audible in every other room.

The staff was extremely helpful and respectful. The owner of the property Bogha bhiya is always there to cater to your needs and they do not unnecessarily force you to check out at sharp 11.

The dorms are a little compact compared to other places

There is no power backup so incase there’s a powercut there is not an option to charge your devices.

The stay was good but the voice from the other room was quite audible which caused discomfort at night. Since it is made of mood so there was continuous screeching sound of the bed from the next and it really didn't let us sleep.

Everything is perfect!! It's like a home for me and I'll definitely be visiting again to this beautiful place. Shangarh now has a special place in my life. Everyone has done the best they can with limited resources we can get the best. Better than planning a trip through travel sites to crowded places. It is better to travel on your own to such location where you can get the best of what you pay for without any regret. The cook Rakesh bhaiya has magic in his hands and he is experienced hiker he can guide you to various small hikes nearby. The support person Harish can take you to meadows and waterfall and is an amazing person. Govinda bhai thanks for the hospitality and for the hike experience 🙌 Gonna recommend this place to my friends.

Rafa homestay is an amazing place to stay in Shangarh or I would say one of the best hostels in Shangarh. What makes it serene is not just the location but the Hosts Boga and Govinda Bhaiji. They are the most welcoming hosts I have seen on my trip to tirthan and sainj valley. Chicken curry and rice or Biryani is a must try. You will actually feel like a guest with them. They serve you food, won't let you pick your plates and will arrange anything you ask them in their capacity. Lovely people and a very peaceful & calm place located near a waterfall. Food 10/10 Hosts 13/10 place 10/10. Do visit them if you are planning a trip to Shangarh. Cheers

Their food is one of the best, simple yet so flavorful. The rooms are super cozy and the view from balcony is just great, you'll keep stating at the mountain views and forget all the digital life even though they have wifi surprisingly given the location.

The place is still new so maybe a bit more greenery around the house and I hope they maintain their quality of food and rooms.

I like the vibes,owner(boga bhaiji),staff,location,food and everything was so calm and peaceful i am surely gonna roll back there again soon and must do stargazing at night its a perfect spot.

Nothing,just one thing it’s a hike of 15 mins but don’t worry about that owner can help and if its your own vehicle than you’ll park just right there.

Property is good including the room, staff, owner and specially the food. They have a common room where there is a tandoor/bukhari. They also took us to the trek nearby wherein they accompanied us. There are various treks nearby. Also, there are villages, one waterfall etc you can hike up to. Shangarh is famous for its meadows. In case you are looking for an offbeat place then you must visit Shangarh. I would highly recommend to stay at RAFA Shangarh.

Super host and his hospitality. Boga and Rakesh were amazing host and went extra mile to comfort me. The served and delicious meal specially the lovely siddhu. One of my best stay and looking forward to visit again ang again. Location and view of the property is 👏 amazing. Off beat location for peaceful and serene stay.

Property is just getting fully operationalise hence already provided my suggestion to the host. Will love that Property develop in an fashion where it can have a hippe type of artistic character. Soul of the art Will define the property.

The location, the service, the food, the room everything was top notch. The balcony was the unique offering and I really relished my time watching the starry sky from the balcony. The host made sure I had everything that I needed.
