The homestay was incredible would 100% recommend. Meta was amazing. He took me and his daughter to the lake in the morning where we swam and had an incredible day! The bungalow was super awesome and overlooks a little pond you can swim in. There are multiple lakes nearby as well perfect for swimming. Definitely recommend if you want a break from Siem Reap.

Il meraviglioso bungalow di Meta è qualcosa che non si spiega, immerso in una bellissima campagna a due passi dalla via principale, regna pace e tranquillità in questo bellissimo posto realizzato a mano con tanta dedizione e moltissimi dettagli estetici, tronchi intrecciati come ringhiere, paglia per i tetti e piattaforme sull'acqua del laghetto dove poter rilassarsi. Letto comodissimo e bagno essenziale e ben funzionante con tanto di acqua calda. Letteralmente un posto da sogno, avremmo voluto starci più tempo! Come se non bastasse, Meta è super simpatico, molto attento alle esigenze degli ospiti e di grande spirito. Parla inglese molto bene e ci ha offerto una colazione tipica eccezionale. Non dimentichiamo questo posto e la gentilezza di Meta. Viaggiare in questo tipo di luoghi cambia tutto per davvero, rende le esperienze di viaggio degne di essere vissute.

Meta was the most amazing host I have ever had. As soon as I arrived he brought me to the coolest party. He showed me all around angkor wat and did profesional level photoshoots for me. He showed me the local experience and shared food with me. His wife made me custom tailored clothes for a super cheap price. His family is so sweet and kind. He also took me and other guests to the nearby silk farm and to a traditional Cambodian wedding!! Meta was more than a host he became a good friend and truly showed me the local Cambodian experience. Not only did Meta show me the time of my life in cambodia but also I got very sick when I was staying at his homestay and he took such good care of me. He brought me food and water and coconuts every day, have me head massages when I had a headache. Took me to the pharmacy to get medicine. And even drove me to the hospital multiple days in a row. And when I had to stay in the hospital he came to visit me every day and brought me food and coconuts and even brought me a boquet of flowers as a get well soon present. I cant say enough good things about Meta. He is truly the most kind and genuine person and treated me like family. I will always remember my time at Meta Homestay so fondly. And even though I got very sick and hospitalized during my time in cambodia Meta showed me such an amazing time and so much kindness that I will always remember all of the amazing experiences I had in Cambodia more than my experience of getting sick. Being a solo female traveler and getting so sick in a foreign country is the scariest thing ever but Meta made it not scary and made me feel so well taken care of that I knew everything would be okay. I highly recommend staying here even if its just so you get to hang out with Meta! He is really the best!

I had a great experience at Meta's. He's friendly, helpful, and does everything he can to make sure everyone is happy. He offers a variety of services and, most importantly, a truly immersive experience of Cambodian life. Located 15km from Siem Reap, it's ideal for exploring the city and surrounding areas, as well as visiting the temples of Angkor

The bungalow was so cute and had everything we needed, the location is outside of the chaotic centre which was really nice, it felt like we were in the jungle while still not too far from everything. We rented a motorbike from the homestay which was perfect because the roads felt really safe to drive on. The owner really made us feel like home, he invited us to drink with his friends, he made us taste the local food and even invited us to a wedding of his cousin!! Can't recommend this place enough, it was definitely a highlight of our trip in Cambodia!

After spending a week exploring the wonders of Siem Reap and the temples of Angkor, we returned for our final night to stay with Mister Meta — this time at Meta Homestay (we had previously stayed at his Kakrona Pouk Homestay). And once again, it was absolutely fantastic! Nestled in a beautiful green setting with a serene pond nearby, Meta Homestay is a peaceful escape from the busier parts of town. Mister Meta himself has his own tuk-tuk and took us to more hidden gems in the area — his local knowledge is such a gift! His lovely wife sews clothes, and if you're looking for comfortable, airy pants at a great price, this is the place to find them. They also offer traditional Khmer cooking classes, and every meal we had there was delicious and full of flavor. While it's a bit further from the temples, the peaceful surroundings and the warm welcome you receive make it feel like coming home. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a more personal, authentic Cambodian experience!

The host was very friendly and hospitable. The location was exactly what I wanted: somewhere in the countryside, away from the touristy places, surrounded by nature.

We love the accessibility with Meta, this is one of these host you’re really happy to meet in your life when you’re traveling! The little house is lost in the middle of wonderful rice fields and let you the occasional to be completely alone. We love our stay and hope we’ll have the chance to comeback and see Meta and his family again!

Wanting a cultural experience, you should definitely see Prom Meta and his lovely wife. WE staying in the hand built home in the rice paddy and his wife made me some fantastic dresses, from her business at their place. Meta took me out for breakfast every morning which was great and authentic.. Love soaking up this culture with beautiful people.

They love hard beds in Cambodia so ask for an extra doona to go on top of the matress. Nothing is too much trouble.

Meta is very lovely and it was awesome getting shown around with him and experiencing the real Cambodian lifestyle

It's a great place in a rice field, very quiet and beautiful, we loved our stay and can't wait to come back!

We loved to be hosted in the rice fields and have this vibe of country side, people were extremely nice and made us feel at home, perfect place to disconnect from the busy city center, totally recommend!
