Very cozy and nice place. Owner very kind and friendly. And also she is very good on cooking) was glad to stay in her house. Thank you 🙌🏽
Great experience in spending one night at Diên homestay, got the chance to have dinner/lunch with the owner. Suggest to have lunch/dinner over there at reasonable price and also considering the food is cooked fresh and get to try local dishes :)
Very friendly host, good food, thick comfy blankets. Quite and nice to get off from the road and be closer to the nature.
There was no chairs so we could not sit outside and enjoy the view and the nature. It was a bit to hard for me to sit on the floor.
The homestay has the amazing view. The host is very friendly. I travelled around the village and talked to local people. The food was so delicious. It made me fresh after hard work.
This was a cute homestay - very minimal interaction with the host though. The house and patio is lovely and they provided slipper for the bathroom. There were also 3 bathrooms with shower/ toilets which is nice to accommodate multiple guests.
The room got a little cold at night and there was no heat source available.
Room basic but comfortable Nice balcony Lovely family Good food
Very friendly host. Very good and tasty Dinner was served. Feeling like at home with friends.
Nothing.
Super friendly family - always smiling and they even had dinner with us :) typical Dao architecture but nice to see and experience in-person
Nothing
The family who run this homestay are fabulous, friendly and cook up delicious meals to share. The location is in a small authentic Vietnamese village which is lovely to wander around, and there are Red Dao herbal baths you can visit only a few minutes walk from the property. The property is clean and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. We loved our time spent here, and would definitely return. Thankyou!

Very quiet environment in the day, the facilities were ok
Quiet some insects in the rooms inkl. bit spiders, but I recon it is normal. was just a lot. it was super noisy with shoutings at 6 in the morning, from when I couldn't sleep so not very resting
The young owners are friendly and we shared a delicious meal with them. There are lots of homestays in this village, this is one of the last ones, a nice and quiet place. When we stayed there, there were two swallow nest with young birds. I recommend you to stay here!
The homestay was comfortable and in a lovely traditional house. The hosts were welcoming and told us about the traditions of the Dzao people.
We had a great stay at Dien Homestay. House made with wood is beautiful. The family was very kind and we shared with them an amazing dinner with local specialties. Breakfast was also very good.
Very nice couple who run the accommodation. Very helpful and the dinner is delicious. It was very cold at night and there is no air conditioning or heating, but we were given a second blanket.
One point deducted for the comparatively expensive dinner (150k) and breakfast (50k) and the breakfast was also relatively small.
Very kind family, I ate delicious food with them and in happy company
Wonderful and kind family! Gorgeous food!
The host was so generous and kind. Dinner was absolutely delicious. My partner and I will definitely visit again if we are ever in this region.
Such a nice time with Dien's family, eating (delicious) dinner all together and playing uno by the fire. The room is simple but clean and confortable. Great authentic experience on the loop.
Our hosts were very welcoming and prepared a delicious dinner that we ate family-style. The room was simple, but clean with wifi, a bug net, and all the basics. The house is a traditionally built mud house, which was pretty neat.
When we arrived, it was a bit confusing because only the host's mom was there and communication was difficult. Eventually, she rang up our hosts, who arrived a short while later, and everything was sorted out.
The room was clean, spacious and comfortable for a night on the loop. The family is lovely- we enjoyed having dinner with them. They don’t speak English but we used google translate to communicate which was no issue. The food was delicious!
The baby boy that I met was super cute 😭 I had lunch and dinner with them and all good !
The homestay’s rooms are simple but with very comfy beds (what more do you need? ;-)), and the shared bathrooms are clean and the showers are hot. The hostess does not speak (much) English but she was super friendly and welcoming. She made a fire for us to sit around as it was quite cold, and the home-cooked dinner was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended.
Delicious food made by the host Lovely scenic setting

Quite remote so quiet. We had a good sleep.
The place could be a bit more clean I suppose
Amazing location, traditional Adobe house with great view from terrace and very sweet family. I stayed here at very nice weather, walking around the hills and villages. Really enjoyed. Of your looking for actual calm stay in the mountains, this is perfect! I arrived by local bud and the family picked me up from the main road (40 min walk otherwise). They made a lovely dinner and we all ate together. Beware the traditional house doesn't have much sound insulation between the rooms and the windows are small. But great view from the terrace. If you don't have a motorbike it's hard to find lunch in the village. Nice 20min walk to a waterfall that was not busy at all.
It's a Homestay, so don't expect hotel service! The family has their own duties during the day. They forgot to give me a towel but I had my own :)
Very homie, love the Dao style.
Its quite unique, if you like a unique experience, you will love this place.
Nice location, friendly family
Great place with amazing people! Sin was a great host and brought us to have dinner with his family - it was a beautiful experience!
Very nice family and Homestay, we enjoyed eating together with the whole family. Hot shower, basic rooms but everything you need
friendly staff and stunning views
In May, quite hot room with fan. Neighbor had a paty KARAOKE late night, but it seems popular there.
An absolute delight to stay there! A great welcome into the life of this friendly and loving family of farmers, which started homestay December 2022…! Food was an absolute delight, best we had in Vietnam from far, along with a great discussion leading to a superb exchange. They are both as authentic as genuine and love to know more about you. Not to mentioned the location is unique on the hill. This was the great Vietnamese hospitality we were looking for …:) Amenities were exactly what you would need, room and bed very comfortable. We would have stayed longer if we had time !!! Strongly recommend to all travellers!
Nothing here :)
A local friendly family that goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Rooms and sanitary facilities were very clean.
Dinner prepared by locals was super nice! Room is comfortable and the view from balcony is stunning.
Everything was good.
The most lovely host family. You must eat dinner with them because it was the most delicious meal ever. We are vegan, and there were so many options for us. The bathrooms are very nice with hot water, and the bed was the most comfortable I’ve had in a month. I wish I would have stayed more days here because it’s so beautiful with lots of mountain trails. There were 7 Vietnamese visitors at the home when we were there, and we all had fun singing karaoke. We had a large private bedroom with mosquito tents. The best.
We had a great time with Dien and his family. They cooked for us fantastic dinner. The best in Vietnam so far. Great experience.
This is a proper homestay in which you eat with Lý Thị Pày, her husband and their son. The food was amazing and the area very quiet. The rooms are the exact thing you except from a homestay that price.
My 65-year old mum didn’t get to sleep because our room was above the kitchen and the air was polluted by the rest of the smoke. You can also hear everything that is going on in the dormitory (but to compensate that you can hear earplugs).
This was by far our favorite stay at the Ha Giang Loop!! The hosts are such sweet and friendly people, we had dinner with them and talked all night with Google Translate app. They were super open, we laughed, showed videos and shared stories about our lives & cultures. The food was amazing, the best we had at the Loop! Very comfortable beds, quiet location, we would recommend this to everyone! Thank you so much!!
Great experience, the food was delicous, the hosts really kind and friendly.
Wonderful family that were so accommodating to the guests. The dinner they cooked was amazing and they were kind enough to also build a fire for us to relax into the evening. Our favourite place we stayed on the Ha Giang loop.
Great location, at the end of the village. Good food. Nice staff. Nice craft beer to try!
Wonderful hosts and great location. I ate delicious dinner with the family and was invited to play football. The room was comfortable too.
It was finally a real homestay. The guests eat together with the family. The food was amazing and so much different stuff to pick it from the table in the bowl each had. They are such kind sweet people. The grandmother showed me peeling sugar cane and shared it with me. It was really tasty. The matress was really compfy and there was long hot water in the shower:) The view from the balcony is amazing. Totally recommended!
All was perfect.
Very friendly host, house in a calm rural area. There's a big common room and balcony.
Kind family Delicious family dinner with happy water (but costly 150'000.- dong per person) Very comfortable beds Hot shower
The homestay is bit far from the village, but by scooter this isn't a problem
we had a great time and the food was delicious
Amazing location and building. Really quiet and peaceful. The hosts are incredible, we had a wonderful dinner experience. Can't recommend enough.
Everything!! Honestly can’t fault anything! The hosts were so welcoming and friendly. The family dinner was incredible, some of the best food we have had in Vietnam so far! The beds were comfortable and they provide really thick blankets for when it’s cold. Hot showers!!! Great location and easy to find too. I recommend everyone stay here if you want a great authentic experience !!!

Lovely comfy room, we had a private one with 3 beds. Dien and the family were brilliant hosts and made fantastic food and corn wine. My partner is celiac and all the food made was without gluten which was perfect. Highly recommend.
super Nice family, amazing food. Very affordable. In rural area, nice comfortable rooms. bathrooms were clean.
The homestay was amazing for us after a cold/rainy driving with motorbike. The owner family is so so friendly and supportive. We had a chance to have a warm and delicious dinner with their family, the foods and corn alcohol are awesome, I really love the vegetable dishes. Thank you Dien's family, and wish you all the best.
Amazing hosts, so welcoming and nice. They invited us for some homemade corn liquor which was delicious. Beds are super comfortable and prices are more than fair.
Everything was perfect
Very nice and accommodating family along the aha Giang loop. We loved the home cooked food and rice wine they provided. Our favorite stay along the 3 day loop!
Warm welcome, host family, authenticity
the host family are so kind, welcoming and generous. they brought us an extra duvet because it is so cold at night in January and the food they cooked was incredible! some of the best food we’ve had in Vietnam so far. most of the food comes from their own fields and village, including the rice! the room was lovely and very clean, the shared bathrooms were great (each one had a shower and toilet) and there is even a washing machine if you need. we would recommend to everyone to stay here!
Everything was great! This homestay was part of our Ha giang loop and it was absolutely the best one. The family is just lovely and so caring. They made us a wonderful meal and we had just a nice time eating and drinking wine with them. We were at a table right next to them but they were always coming to check on us or just drink with us. They also made a bonfire since it was cold outside and it was so great to feel a little bit closer to home in that way. Our room was nice and we had the best view over the mountains! The owner even brought us extra blankets for the night to make sure we would not be too cold. Like I said before, so sweet!
Nothing. Seriously. Go there. It's worth it!
Was a great experience of local and family culture along the ha giang loop. Very clean, comfy beds and delicious food. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely stay again
Nothing
- Siam and Pay were the most amazing hosts we met so far - we were welcomed with hot tea after a cold ride on the motorcycle and they prepared the most delicious vegetarian dinner for us - we had dinner together with the other guests and the whole family, it was so much fun - after dinner we sat together by the fireplace - the rooms a very simple, but cozy, super clean and our highlight was the remarkably comfy bed - last but not least: The breakfast was so good and combined with a stunning mountain view
One of the highlights of our trip! Diên and his family are the sweetest people ever and they made us feel so welcome in their lovely home which is located in the most beautiful area. We had a lovely home cooked dinner together and stayed up late singing songs by the bonfire. We ended up staying an extra night! Can’t wait to come back!
The host family was extremely friendly and hospitable. After a cold long first leg of the ha giang loop, we were pleased to see the entire family waiting to welcome us outside their well lit home. It was super cold outside and they promptly built a fire for us to sit by while they prepared a delicious dinner feast! We got to all eat together as a big family and used google translate to share stories about our lives. I was a little worried before arriving that the rooms would be too cold to sleep, but the beds were extremely comfortable and the blankets kept us warm all night. It was so cozy that we ended up sleeping for 10 hours!
Since this homestay is very new, they aren’t on Google maps yet! However, given that their home was so brightly lit, we were able to find them pretty quickly.
The family who runs the homestay is just SO nice! Very welcoming, friendly and it just feels a little bit like home. We also had dinner together, which was really delicious and a lot! After that we sat by the fire and had warm tea. The room looks just like on the photos, the surrounding area is also very nice. Thanks for everything 😊
It was a bit cold, but they gave us an extra blanket (which we didn't need in the end, because the blanket we already had was enough. Great place to stay!
We really enjoyed our time in their homestay. One of our best nights in Vietnam so far. The family is Very friendly, helpful and makes a superb dinner. We had a lot fun with Google translator and we enjoyed to get in touch with each other. Around the homestay are several beautiful walks and also a waterfall to see. We really recommend to stay there during the loop and enjoy the quiet farmland with stunning views around.
Nothing, it was perfect!
our stay was extremely great. the family were very helpful & kind. the newly built house is very nice and relaxing. The beds were comfortable as well. I would recommend this home stay to anyone looking to stay in Quan Ba
everything was great
cosy family, great hosts. very quiet and peaceful. you can walk to a nice waterfall. you can chose to have dinner there, the food they served was excellent. best dinner of our journey! :)
It is a great new place! We were first guests. The family is really nice. The place looks just like on the picture. It is a quiet homestay where you can really rest. And the dinner was delicious! With some help from google translator the family is happy to talk with you. Nice walking paths nearby.
