Le personnel, la plage à proximité, le calme de l’emplacement. L’endroit ecoresponsable. Le restaurant était vraiment tres bon et les prix raisonnables. Nous avons adoré Rosa, la serveuse/cuisinière, John. Tout le personnel était très gentil et accommodant. Belle vibe relaxe, sans stress. Tout était plutôt propre.

Pas d’AC - extrêmement chaud dans les chambres. Aussi notre première chambre était vraiment minuscule pour 4 personnes - un vrai sauna (chambre Mangle). On a demandé au personnel et on nous a offert une seconde chambre à un tarif raisonnable. C’était bien apprécié. On a aussi vu 2 tarentules dans la salle de bain, des chauves souris au plafond - il faut quand même être ouvert à dormir avec l’extérieur.

La cabana estava molt bé i ben equipada. Estèticament molt maca i adient pel lloc.

nous avions réservé une cabane avec vue mer, la vue mer était là mais plutôt loin, nous nous attendions à être situés plus près de la mer et ce fut une déception Notre chambre n'a pas été faite pendant notre sejour

The island itself is very pleasant and peaceful. The excursions offered are definitely worth it. It’s a relaxing stay. The kitchen service is very good and the staff is friendly.

It's all a bit faded glory. The shower didn't work, barely 5 little streams of water came out. How they set up the electricity (sockets) isn't exactly proper either. If you look over the little wall from your room, you can also see a lot of trash and mess lying around.

El entorno es bellísimo, tiene una playa muy pequeñita privada desde donde se puede acceder al mar y nadar. Se puede hacer snorkel. Tambien tiene una plataforma de madera con tumbonas rn primera linea de mar. Los bungalows son muy amplios y cómodos, algunos con vistas al mar. La comida es exquisita. Es un lugar muy familiar donde te sientes como en casa gracias a la atención de las personas que trabajan allí. Se pueden hacer actividades en la isla como la visita a los manglares, la visita nocturna a la laguna encantada con el placton luminiscente, Kayak o snorkel en la barrera de coral al otro lado de la isla. Javier, la persona encargada del hotel, lo gestiona todo. Hemos estado muy a gusto, es un lugar perfecto para desconectar.

Ottima posizione, tranquilla ma vicina ad altri ristoranti per poter variare. Avevamo una casetta fronte mare con patio e amaca, super rilassante. Il molo con i lettini è perfetto per rilassarsi con accesso diretto al mare. Javier super disponibile!

La cucina è buona e fanno tutto sul momento, di conseguenza ci mettono un po’ a preparare le pietanze. Consiglierei di far scegliere con anticipo e farsi dire l’orario desiderato per pranzo/cena cosí da non dover aspettare troppo seduti al tavolo. L’unica cosa un po’ fastidiosa sono le mosche, sono parecchie e danno molto fastidio durante i pasti ma siamo immersi nella natura quindi comprensibile.

Great value for money and kindness. Javier is running a great show, he is always there to support and help with everything. Food was delicious and the quietness was amazing at all times. The idea of being in front of the Caribbean and being able to enter it in 10 seconds was so refreshing. I suggest ubuntu to anyone. Also other places that are way more expensive (like Rosario Del Mar) are disrupted by daily visitors , ubuntu has none and it’s so calm

Les gens qui y travaillent sont d’une gentillesse exceptionnelle. Les lieux sont magnifiques, propres, tranquilles et confortables. Il y a pleins d’activités à faire sur l’île pour des prix vraiment raisonnables. Nous recommandons sans hésiter!

De host, kamer zelf en het eigen strand waren super.

Het geheel was wel zwaar overpriced, zeker omdat de transfer ook heel veel kost en het eiland zelf verder niet zo charmant is door vervuiling en verval. Zou mooi zijn als de hotels samen werken om het eiland op te knappen. De vriendelijke host maakte veel goed!

Un petit coin de paradis dans cette magnifique île du Rosaire. Le personnel est très gentil, le repas extrêmement bon, tout était parfait !!! Merci encore pour ce séjour. Le transfert était aussi au top.

Tout était parfait. Si je dois juste émettre un petit bémol, c'est le service un peu trop lent. Nous avons dû attendre parfois 2h pour avoir notre plat après avoir commandé, mais l'attente avec une magnifique vue, ce n'est pas grave.

Alojamiento muy tranquilo y bien situado. Dispone de pocas cabañas por lo que se respira tranquilidad. Tiene una mini playita muy práctica para darse un refrescante baño. Personal muy amable.

No me gustó que el desayuno no estuviera incluido en el precio de la habitación. Es un sobrecoste a considerar. Lo mismo que el pago con tarjeta y su comisión correspondiente.

Niedliche kleine Anlage, sehr liebevoll gestaltet und super gelegen (nicht zu wenig, kaum Wellen), perfekt zum Baden, unglaublich freundliches und bemühtes Personal, saubere kleine Zimmer, gute Möglichkeiten für Aktivitäten, alles durchdacht und gut organisiert

Mückennetz über dem Bett, aber Zimmer oben offen (ohne Schutz) und besonders im Bad wimmelt es nur so von Mücken, sodass man eigentlich keinen richtigen Rückzugsort hat

Het is een heel fijn, kleinschalig plekje. Daardoor heeft het een heel warm gevoel en dat komt ook voor een groot deel door de mensen die er werken.

De ontvangst door de eigenaren van Ubunto was fantastisch. We zijn zo hartelijk ontvangen en hebben hele mooie gesprekken gehad. Iedereen was erg behulpzaam en we hebben erg genoten van de hele ervaring

La calma assoluta di questo posto è rigenerante. La stanza era enorme e curata nell'estetica, con la migliore zanzariera mai vista nei miei viaggi! La terrazza vista mare è bellissima. Gli spazi esterni sono tenuti con rispetto e amore per la natura e il territorio. Ci sono amache per il relax e angoli tranquilli e piacevoli dove potersi accomodare. Lo staff è molto disponibile e alla mano. Il mare è davanti alla struttura e si raggiunge facilmente. È un posto dell'isola dove non c'è movimento fastidioso o movida rumorosa. Il cibo era semplice, ma buono.

L'extrême gentillesse de notre hôte et du personnel, sa grande disponibilité y compris pour nous apporter son aide. Le bord de mer, le calme et la propreté de l'hôtel. Les repas sur place, variés et bons.

Le manque d'intimité des bungalows, très proches, surtout du bungalow familial composé de deux chambres côte à côte. L'absence de vraie plage, en fait une simple ouverture sur la mer. Pour les snorkelers, le vide surprenant des fonds marins.

- L'emplacement de rêve : Idéalement situé en bord de mer avec un accès direct à la plage. Le ponton ombragé équipé de transats est un vrai bonheur pour se détendre. - ​Le confort de la chambre : Tout était très propre. Le lit est confortable et la chambre dispose d'un ventilateur ainsi que d'une moustiquaire. - ​Le restaurant : Une belle carte ! Les plats étaient vraiment bons et les prix restent tout à fait raisonnables pour un établissement situé sur une île.

​Le rangement : Il manque un petit meuble (étagère ou commode) pour pouvoir ranger ses affaires.

La ubicación es muy buena por que es un lugar super tranquilo, a metros hay un gastrobar que se come muy bien y a 5 minutos a pie la playa publica con arena blanca y agua tranquila. El hotel cuenta con una playita privada pequeña y tranquila segun la marea. Todo el personal fue muy amable.

El wifi no llega a las habitaciones, pero no fue un problema, ayuda a desconectar más aun.

Nous étions 4 dans une chambre beaucoup petite pour le nombre que nous étions et avec un lit de camp alors que nous avons payé le prix fort pour 4 personnes. Pas de place ni de rangement pour les bagages. Moustiquaires toutes trouées et literie peu confortable. Les activités proposées sont très chères. Peu flexibles sur les demandes de modification concernant les accompagnements proposés avec les plats (pas très commerçants). Ne vous attendez pas à un endroit calme car le générateur fonctionne presque en permanence et est très bruyant.

This was a fantastic highlight of our holiday. We loved the energy and concept of Centro Ubuntu, and all the staff made our family feel welcome. They assisted us with coordinating transportation to the island, and the drivers were kind and very reliable. I enjoyed the food, and most of all, there were great activities for the family. It is the perfect place to disconnect and relax—a lovely paradise to be discovered.

Le véritable point fort de l’établissement est sans aucun doute son personnel, qui est absolument adorable et attentionné. L’emplacement est également exceptionnel : le front de mer et l’accès aménagé à la mer sont tout simplement incroyables. Le restaurant mérite aussi une mention spéciale, nous nous sommes régalés. Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour et gardons un excellent souvenir de cette expérience.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans l’ensemble, et ces quelques remarques restent des détails d’amélioration. Nous sommes restés trois nuits, et la chambre n’a pas été nettoyée durant ce séjour. À minima, le vidage des poubelles aurait été apprécié. Par ailleurs, au regard du prix de la chambre, la mise à disposition de masques en libre-service aurait été un petit plus appréciable.

Loved it from the beginning to the end! The place, the beach, the rooms, the food, the location. Carolina, the manager, was absolutely amazing! Zero waste and ecological thinking, everyone is super nice and friendly. One of the best accommodations I have had in my entire life! :)

Die Anlage ist sehr schön und sauber. Mein Cabana entsprach meinen Erwartungen und ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Ventilator reicht aus, auch in den Zeiten in denen der Strom nur reduziert geliefert wird. Das Frühstück ist ok, mit Ausnahme der Preise für Nachschub. So kosten zwei Toastscheiben COL 10'000 (3 USD!). Der Sandstrand ist sehr klein aber sauber.

Die Beleuchtung auf der Veranda ist zu schwach nützt nichts (auch wenn der Strom zu 100% da ist). Die Liegestühle sind praktisch alle schmutzig. Wenn der Wind von Norden weht, hat es an diesem Strand praktisch kein Lüftchen und es ist auch am Schatten fast nicht zum Aushalten. Nachschub für Morgenessen ist unangemessen teuer. Zwei Toastscheiben für COL 10'000. Die vermittelte Schnorcheltour (1h, COL 90'000) kann man sich sparen. Die Korallen sind tief unter dem Wasserspiegel, viele sind weiss und farblos und man sieht nur ein paar Fischchen. Da gibt es an der Playa libre (7 min. gegenüber) besseres und erst noch günstiger!

Carolina makes this stay. She is incredibly attentive, walks you through everything you need to know, and gives genuinely helpful recommendations. The tour activities are well organized — the bioluminescent night tour was a once-in-a-kind experience; swimming among glowing planktons is something we still can't believe we got to do. The snorkeling was decent and enjoyable, even if the reefs elsewhere impressed us more. The property sits right on the beach, which on Isla Grande is everything. There's also a lovely human element — the family lives on the property, and our daughter got to connect a little with their daughter. Watching the local kids head off to school by speedboat in their uniforms was one of those unexpected moments that sticks with you.

It's the priciest place we stayed and transportation is not included — Carolina will help you arrange it, but budget accordingly. You will feel like you're paying American prices. That said, for what's delivered, it met expectations and then some.

Highly recommend staying here. The hosts and staff were lovely and very knowledgeable and the place is very tranquil. There’s a small beach you can swim in the sea and snorkel. We did some excursions with Filip and he was fab. We went with our 5 year old who made friends with some local Kids and really loved it too. Definitely go to the island and definitely stay here! :)

Nous avions préféré les transferts organisés par Centro Ubuntu, pas donné mais tellement plus simple et pratique. L’accueil de Carolina a l’arrivée est parfait, avec quelques mots en français ! Ravis du logement, sa petite terrasse et son hamac, sa vue au bord de l’eau Literie ok, débit d’eau limité et pas très chaude mais franchement pas un problème ! L’espace transat au bord de l’eau est très bien aménagé et décoré. La plage est petite mais très suffisante, un peu de snorkeling est effectivement possible directement après quelques mètres dans l’eau. Les petits déjeuners sont frais et très corrects Tout le personnel est aux petits soins, merci particulier à Myriam toujours souriante. Par rapport aux commentaires des années précédentes sur l’état général du site (travaux, matériaux, odeurs), très bonne surprise : ce n’est plus le cas, tout l’espace est bien rangé et balayé quotidiennement. Nous avons passé 3 jours très agréables, au calme dans un environnement magnifique entourés de personnes adorables. Je recommande vivement Centro Ubuntu

La location de masque pour le snorkeling est payante Juste un raté concernant une excursion, nous l’avons raté car nous n’attendions pas au bon endroit ….

Il centro Ubuntu è un'oasi incantata su Isla Grande: personale super attento, disponibile e competente. Cabañas davvero accoglienti, bagno aperto con tetto in foglie di palma superlativo. Tante attività da organizzare con guide locali (come snorkel in mezzo al plancton di notte, snorkel alla barriera corallina, canoa nella laguna di mangrovie). Spiaggia privata splendida con lettini e una copertura in legno da sogno per rilassarsi fino al tramonto. Davvero consigliatissimo!

L'emplacement est fidèle à la description. Nous avons aimé les valeurs des personnes ayant créé le lieux. Le lieu était très paisible et bcp d'aménagement pour se reposer. La cuisine est très bonne. Merci!

1 des petits lits était un peu ferme. Notre logement était mitoyen, sous le même toit qu'un autre logement. Nous entendions bcp les voisins et donc nous devions aussi faire très attention au bruit car nous n'avions pas le même rythme. Je ne suis pas sûre que ce soit précisé dans la description du logement.

Centro Ubuntu ist ein Öko-Resort und entsprechend ausgerichtet. Schöne Lage am Wasser mit kleinem Strand. Super nettes Personal und alles immer frisch zubereitet.

La tranquilidad que se siente. La comodidad de las cabañas y todas sus instalaciones. El concepto de ser un hotel ecológico le da una conexión muy especial con la naturaleza y la comunidad.

Ubuntu és un espai molt especial. No és un lloc fet per algú que busqui luxe, però sí per viure una experiència autèntica en una illa del Carib amb totes les comoditats. La ubicació és privilegiada, amb el moll amb les tumbones i l’accés directe a la platja a tocar. El menjar, tant esmorzar, dinar com sopar estava molt bo. Recomano provar la llimonada de coco, deliciosa!

Pel preu, podria incloure com a mínim l’àpat de l’esmorzar, ja que tot són extres. Llàstima que la segona nit i havia música forta a un lloc proper a l’hotel i costava dormir.

Beautiful location, helpful staff. Overall, the ambiance was low key and family-like. Island was walkable (no cars) and there were many restaurants/bars to choose from. We stayed 3 nights and were glad we didn’t opt for a day trip

We enjoyed our stay at Centro Ubuntu. The location is ideal with private beach access just a few steps from the room. The cabaña was clean, comfortable and well equipped with mosquito nets, towels etc. The restaurant on site makes tasty food and has some Vegetarian options. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We were given a nice welcome, detailed insights on Ubuntu and the island and the possibility to book activities. We were also kindly allowed to leave our luggage before and after check in.

On the day of our departure, weather conditions meant the transportation company couldn’t pick us up on Isla Grande and we had to stay an extra night. That was obviously nobody’s fault. At first, we were told that Ubuntu might be able to host us for another night at a “good discount” to help us out. Later, management declined this and it was then communicated that the maximum discount would have anyway been 10% on consumption only (which is already very reasonably priced). Since the room at Ubuntu is 3x the price of similar cabañas nearby (without beachfront), we went looking for an alternative place. We were offered significant discounts everywhere we went, as the island was essentially empty since no new guests could arrive. We decided to move, and were surprised about the fact the place where we had stayed and eaten every single meal for four days was the only one charging us full price. Centro Ubuntu highlights community as one of their core values. Community is not what we felt upon leaving.

The location and the people are exceptional always paying attention . Kids friendly.The rooms are comfortable despite the limited access to resources. The eco- concept is also valuable.

While playing the « eco » card comes at cost, the value for money is not favourable . Noise from neighbouring bar (music during the day, generator early morning)

… para comentar a Ubuntu! El sitio? Sencillamente y verdaderamente un paraíso! Todo muy curado, limpio y confortable. Nuestra cabańa estaba muy fresca. Hay agua y corriente durante todo el día - en otros hostales de la isla no es así. El equipo? Te acoge como si fueras familia. Carolina siempre super gentil, profesional y confiable. Nos ayudó mucho en planear ida/vuelta y otras planes de viaje. Las chicas de la cocina encantadoras!! Mis amigas y yo estuvimos muy contentas de llegar a conocerlas como amigas. Nos han cuidado mucho!. La comida? Superlativa. Pescado y fruta siempre frescos. Platos de la cocina local deliciosamente bien hechos. Si no hubiera vivido en la otra parte del mundo habría vuelto a Ubuntu por lo menos una vez a l’ańo. Sin duda se quedará en mi corazón! Gracias por todo!Valentina Jane y Benny

Domki z widokiem na morze są ok, blisko do pomostu z leżakami. Śniadania ok, choć bez rewelacji. Na pewno godny polecenia jest sposób transportu z/do Cartageny zaproponowany przez obsługę ośrodka.

Brak ciepłej wody pod prysznicem, kiepska oferta w restauracji, ale niedaleko, ze 100 metrów obok jest fajna i smaczna restauracja.

Die Unterkunft liegt direkt am Meer und wird von einer liebevollen Familie geführt. Man wird sehr herzlich empfangen (danke Sebastian!) und vor allem das Servicepersonal ist sehr herzlich und außergewöhnlich freundlich. Das Essen war super lecker (gute Portionen) und die Anlage noch sehr neu und mit Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Zur Unterkunft gehört ein eigener kleiner Privatstrand, an dem man wunderschön schnorcheln kann, auch wenn der Schnorchelausflug zum Korallenriff noch interessanter ist. Ausreichend Strom und Wasser war jederzeit vorhanden. Alles war sehr sauber und wurde auf Wunsch gereinigt. Das Moskitonetz über dem Bett ist top und hält alle Mücken fern. Wir würden sofort wiederkommen. Wir waren 5 Nächte dort und wer Strand, Sonne und Meer mit Schnorcheln liebt, dem wird nicht langweilig.

Es gibt nichts auszusetzen.

Le cadre est idyllique c’est une parenthèse paradisiaque Carolina est une belle personne et une hôtesse très prévenante qui aide organise nos activités ( plancton luminescent snorkling sortie pêche pour mon fils ) elle nous guide en espagnol en anglais et même en français La petite plage privée est très agréable pour faire du snorkling et la grande plage publique est juste à côté ( on peut louer des masques pour la journée dans le centre) Notre bungalow face à la mer était incroyable les ventilateurs et moustiquaires ont été appréciés

Der allerbeste Ort auf der Insel: wenige Menschen, Ruhe, Schnorchelmöglichkeit, tolles Wasser. Wir waren in einer der neuen Hütten untergebracht. Sehr gute Matratzen. Zum Glück auch immer ruhige Nachbarn, denn man teilt sich ein Häuschen. Natürlich gut abgetrennt. Schön wären Möglichkeiten, Kleidung irgendwo aufzuhängen. Wenn man was möchte, wie frische Handtücher z.B., sollte man fragen. Die Mitarbeitenden sind unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und waren glücklich, ausgerechnet hier gebucht zu haben. Die Insel ist nämlich zum Teil ganz schön auf Schickimicki ausgerichtet. Im Ubuntu, und dem kleinen Dorf, sind alle bodenständig und authentisch geblieben.

This is the place to relax. It’s not posh but it is authentic. We lived the fact that there was a kindergarten as well. The staff are friendly and helpful. Sebastian was fantastic. Loved our trips especially snorkelling.

La ubicación con su playa y muelle propio y la tranquilidad del lugar. Es de lo mejor que hay calidad/precio en la isla. El bungalow estaba limpio y bien cuidado. La cama es cómoda.

La comida por cantidad, calidad y precio creo que podría estar un poco mejor.

Magnifique endroit pour se détendre en compagnie d'hôtes attachants. Une équipe exceptionnelle !!!

Nos ofrecieron un tour de plancton luminoso , diciendo que era la única forma de ver la bioiluminisencia, y diciéndonos varias veces que no había otra forma de ir al lago sino pagando… al final el lago si se podía acceder caminando

La playa con que cuenta aunque es pequeña es muy linda. La habitación es de buen tamaño así como el baño. La limpieza es buena y la atención del personal es excelente.

Nos tocó coincidir con huéspedes muy escandalosos y todo se escuchaba en la habitación, imposible dormir una noche. Tal vez deberían poner un horario para evitar esta situación.
