Quite and clean
The breakfast was very good but the evening meal was disappointing
Staff excellent. Gardens and location great.
Room was very disappointing. Dark with stone walls and very small. Wet room not a good idea. It was a single and I guess you get what you pay for.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent with plenty of choice, particularly the evening menu. The room was very spacious, with a comfy bed along with other facilities, including a sofa, desk and wall in wet room. It was very peaceful and the grounds were very pleasant with ample parking.
I was sad that I was only staying for one night! I would love to stay again if I come back to the area.
Excellent vegan selection on breakfast menu. Outstandingly friendly and kind staff. Lovely to see dogs genuinely welcome.
Blinds in room tired and difficult to manage. That was about all, really.
Loved the place in general, especially. Easy access, lovely room, lovely place to eat, great food.
Bed was comfy but was 2 together.. so of course I kept finding the middle bit 🙄 😀
Great breakfast and restaurant
It was very dog friendly which meant lots of dogs. I was not expecting that and it wasn't ideal. Most other guests had dogs.
Lovely hotel, beautiful food. Staff couldn’t do enough for you.
Leckeres und abwechslungsreiches Essen
Das Zimmer roch etwas muffelig
Breakfast
The shower and it was very humid
Amazing set up and location. Brilliant base for local walking. Food was excellent.
Peaceful, friendly reception, clean rooms, comfortable beds.
Wet rooms! After using the shower, the room was flooded, everything was wet, and stayed wet for hours. It meant putting towels on the floor to avoid getting wet feet each time you used the toilet or sink.
sehr gute Lage, freundliches Personal, gutes Essen
Frühstück etwas eingeschränkt
Great staff.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We liked the location which was very convenient for visiting many sites in the Isle of Purbeck. We enjoyed the breakfasts and dinner in the Sawmill restaurant. The view from the garden was breathtaking. We liked the large bed and the two comfortable chairs in the room.
The entrance to the hotel carpark was not very clear. We managed to drive past it twice.
Great place to stay a couple of day!
Great location and good value. We really liked the food.
We enjoyed our stay, but the layout of the facilities is a bit odd. The outdoor seating area and entrance to the reception, which could be beautiful spaces, are located next to the back of the kitchen, store rooms and the bins, so the experience of eating there is significantly less enjoyable than it would otherwise be. The shower was not very powerful.
The location is ideal and the views are stunning. The food is excellent and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The room itself was absolutely spotless and I would definitely recommend this place.
The rooms opposite the dairy may have an early 5am wake up while the cows are being fed and the upstairs rooms carry sound but other than that, there were no complaints.
Comfortable well appointed room
Drinks are expensive
Brilliant location, lovely rooms meals and breakfast Great service and staff
Dont get the wet rooms, water floods everywhere
Good size room, nice breakfast, quiet location. Bus stops right outside, and a nice walk across to Castle Combe
Parking was a bit tight on arrival due to a wedding, and cars all the way up both sides of the driveway was not ideal.
Not much, sadly. It has a lovely view and staff are nice.
Sadly, this hotel was awful. It’s listed as 4 stars on the booking.com site but it is definitely only a 2 star. The premises were very tired and in need of some attention. Our room faced a very busy main road and was exceptionally loud. The rooms seem as though they haven’t been renovated since late 1990’s/early 2000’s. The windows in one bedroom had ancient bent metal blinds, which couldn’t be opened or closed. The window in this room was also sealed shut. The rooms weren’t very clean, and they were so incredibly loud with people staying upstairs and next door sounding as though they were sharing the same space. The people above us came home after 1am and started moving around the rooms at 5am so rest eluded us. Bedroom blinds didn’t block any light. The beds were so bad that we actually had to flip the mattress ourselves in the hope of better comfort. The mattresses are easily 20+ years old! Water pressure in the shower was a dribble making it hard to even wash short kids hair. The Sawmill restaurant is horrific. We paid in the region of £100 for a meal that was truly awful. I had a “Daal” with hard undercooked aubergine, crunchy lentils that weren’t cooked and not a touch of spice let alone ginger or garlic present. My son’s mussels weren’t cleaned, we had to go through each one and remove the beards at the table. My husbands lasagne was dry meat without a ragu sauce and claggy rogue lasagne sheet. Breakfast wasn’t much better a tiny tiny selection of continental items and the cooked options were terrible quality with undrained pre cooked poached eggs in a pool of water on wet toast. Awful awful awful! I have genuinely stayed in better backpacking hostels when younger for a fraction of the cost. I would absolutely not recommend staying at this “hotel” it ruined our experience of the area.
La posizione e le stanze belle! Look rustico elegante.
Spacious room and an excellent breakfast. Great location for the coast path.
Very hard, uncomfortable bed with lumpy pillows. Smart tv was not connected to the internet. Low pressure in the shower. Very noisy fridge. Room could really use an upgrade. Thin walls and we could hear the people next door very clearly.
Beautifully set out & loved that it was quiet & tucked away
Vans driving on gravel early in the morning
I stayed with my three small dogs for 2 nights while my daughter was doing her Silver Duke of Edinburgh to save a 7 hour round trip two days apart. I'm so glad I decided to book this lovely hotel. The setting was beautiful, the food was delicious, but the staff... thats what topped it off for me. THEY WERE AMAZING! Every member of staff I came into contact with couldn't do enough for me (and my dogs). To name afew were David, Julie, Charlie, Karen, Catherine and Kayleigh. What a team. I'll deffinately be back, this time with the whole family!
NOTHING!
The location was beautiful. Staff were lovely. Food was delicious.
Rooms weren't ready until 4pm. Mattress too soft.
Fantastic accommodation & lovely food & beautiful location
Can’t think Of anything N/A
Sauber und groß
Alls super
We had a mini apartment which was nice very comfortable bed, love the location of hotel. You could preorder a walkers packed lunch which was a great help.
The service could have been better in the restaurant, we had dinner there first night and had to wait quite a while for service. Also slow service at breakfast. Also the sandwiches for packed lunch we wrapped in cling film which is not great especially in warm weather
Everything. The location and the food and the room. Perfect.
We could hear every word the people in the next room were saying.
Well located
We pushed the boat out for a stay in an absolutely beautiful room (the wedding suite - The Granary) with four poster bed, seating area, a free-standing Victorian style bath and beams and exposed brickwork everyday. It didn't disappoint. And we were well looked after by Brendan. The room was not ready when we arrived, but we were offered complimentary drinks while we waited. And when we got into the room (only 15-20 minutes later) it was really hot from the August heatwave and we were given not one but two fans to cool it down. It worked. The room made for a great stay. And worth the rather high cost.
Breakfast was the only slight disappointment. Choice of pretty basic Continental or cooked English. Nothing like kippers or haddock or smoked salmon and eggs - which would have been a nice change during our three night stay. Only sliced packet bread to make toast with. No natural yoghurt. And on our final morning the bread ran out completely; the milk ran out; the cheese and meat on the Continental platter ran out; and our coffee order was forgotten. Of course, all the stuff was filled up eventually - and we did get our coffee in the end - but the 15 minute or so delay didn't feel terribly professional. Not that it affected our love for the room!
The staff were helpful, professional and kind.
Food was gorgeous
Shower power
The room was wonderful, very clean, spacious and beautifully appointed. The view was amazing. It was very peaceful and relaxed. The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful.
I was a bit disappointed in the breakfast, my husband had the cooked breakfast and was happy with that, but the continental breakfast did not live up to the quality of the rest of the venue. A small thing that would definitely not stop me coming back again to this beautiful hotel.
This is a fabulous location. The rooms are lovely, functional, and very comfortable. The food was exceptional , and catered our gluten free needs perfectly. All of the staff were wonderful, friendly, helpful polite and professional. I would recommend Kingston County Courtyard to any one looking for a good base to view the sites/attractions in this area. 10/10
Nothing. Everything was great.
Very friendly, helpful staff and the most fabulous breakfast which we enjoyed in the courtyard. Lovely big bed with crisp, cotton sheets. Clean, spacious bathroom. Tea and coffee very welcome in the room. The staff were very welcoming to our dog and there were water and treats for him. Pleasant garden area with pond.
The sitting room area (we were in a 2 storey building) was very basic - a few things like cushions would make a real difference. And a bench outside the room would be welcome after a long day's hiking (which is what many of the guests do it seems). Expected a bit more comfort for the price.
The view of corfe castle was amazing.
The blind on the windows were hard to operate and no curtains were available. There wasnt a fan or AC during a heatwave
location and surroundings
can’t think of anything
Very comfortable bed, the staff Very polite and helpful. Nice breakfast. Great location.
Nothing it was all very good value for money.
Great location for walks. Friendly staff Good food - dinner and breakfast Historical buildings
The main windows of the room face the courtyard, which means that we had to keep the curtains shut for privacy. It is a “Courtyard” hotel, but I would be wary of staying at the weekend when they might have weddings or parties. In the heatwave, not having a fan or aircon..though this is a problem for all older hotels. The “wet room” bathroom was very slippery - older guests need to be extra careful
Food was fabulous
Layout of room
Super Lage in Nähe vom Castle.
Unique and room was comfortable
Nothing
The location was perfect. Only short 8 min drive to Corfe Castle and the historic village, perfect for a half day trip. Castle ruins are very well maintained with incredible views reaching as far as Pool Harbour. About 20 min drive to the incredible Old Harry Rocks and other Dorset locations. Good meal options and fantastic staff.
Very long wait for food to be served.
The bed, the views from the garden
Room 1 and 2 Wet room very unsafe for the infirm or the aged, Shelves instead of wardrobe, Very uncomfortable restaurant chairs, need cusions
Location
My booking was for a single and double bed. However all I was provided was a sofa bed instead of a normal single bed which was really uncomfortable and after spending 8hrs on a motorbike to get there I was hoping for a good nights rest. I hardly slept due to the sofa bed being uncomfortable. I told the receptionist i booked a single and double bed but she made some excuse as to what it wasn’t provided. I asked for a discount but none was provided
La situation géographique ,le personnel ,les infrastructures,la nourriture
De ligging en het mooie gebouw. Is veel mooier dan op de fotos. Prima ontbijt. Vriendelijke service
Alles was top
Friendly staff, very clean room.
No AirCon or Fan during warm summer, reasonably heavy duvet. However the stone building probably kept the temperature stable.
comfortable clean room, beautiful garden with superb views across Purbeck, pleasant staff and tasty food
nothing
Good
The room not very deluxe. Windows broken very close to the road
Ideal location to travel to different places of interest. Breakfast superb. Lots of choices to meet everyones needs. Room very comfortable and clean. Within the courtyard. Numberous places to sit quietly and oversea the views. Excellent all round.
Everything suited our needs and comforts.
Prima kamer en een fantastisch bed
Ik had me niet gerealiseerd dat je eigenlijk niet buiten kunt zitten. En een lekker terras is er ook niet. Verder is de douche zeer matig.
Beautiful location. Short drive from Corfe Castle. Spacious grounds. Converted stables. Mini fridge in room.
Would stay here again. A bit basic but clean.
Great location for us, beautiful room and fabulous breakfast.
Room was a little warm, but it’s warm everywhere…. window that Opened more a fan might help
Regular Guest
Clean. Functional. Good breakfast and dining. Nice bar. Friendly staff. Excellent parking.
Nothing significant. Only odd thing was the bathroom where the shower went straight onto the bathroom floor with no curtain, sides or barrier so the whole floor got wet even round the toilet and sink. No big deal but just odd.
What an amazing place! The staff were incredible, kind, welcoming, and attentive, specially the receptionist. The breakfast was delicious, and the beautiful views, peaceful atmosphere, and lush green surroundings made it the perfect place to relax and recharge. I left feeling completely renewed.
nothing
Rustig gelegen, schoon en netjes, heerlijk eten: ontbijt en diner.
The beds were extremely comfortable, staff very friendly, & the breakfast was the best we have had in a very long time
We requested x2 single beds , but found these had not been made up in our superior family room. However, this was quickly rectified when we told staff
Nic
Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is located in a peaceful, rural location and provides an excellent base for touring Dorset, particularly the Purbeck area. The rooms were well furnished and very clean and well de decorated. Food was good, the breakfast menu was very comprehensive with generous portions. We elected to have dinner on both nights, enjoying the the summer evening in the beautiful courtyard on the second evening. At first glance the main course menu may have appeared a little limited, but the choice was sufficiently good and the quality on both evenings was superb, freshly prepared using mainly locally sourced ingredients.
Nothing, everything was very good leading to a most enjoyable stay.
Beautiful location and we had everything we needed
A minor thing but the fridge in our room was quite noisy, however I am a light sleeper
Very comfortable bed and sofa Very clean and a lovely bathroom
Nothing
Breakfast was great location brilliant and room very nice
Evening meal wasn't as good as we thought it sounded
Breakfast, room, location & service excellent.
Beautiful setting, spotlessly clean, helpful staff. Food was great(dinner and breakfast) Very good value for money
Nothing!
Upgraded to a large room with a big comfy bed. Good shower and could park just outside room to unload luggage. Breakfasts excellent, especially amazing when there was a power cut.
Exterior is rather untidy and tatty. Paving grubby, so looked a bit neglected “around the back”. Just needs sprucing up a bit. Music rather loud in restaurant and not to everyone’s taste.
Very helpfull staff very good location to visit local places and in walking off very nlce pub scottsarms
Grote kamer, super douche en lekker bed
Karige badkamer, extra kamer was erg summier ingericht, licht werkte niet goed.
Upgraded to spacious room
No yoghurt at breakfast and weak coffee. Tables too high for the chairs
Everything
Nothing
Large room had divider wall making a private sitting area. Breakfast nicely cooked. Garden area with seats Comfortable bed
We booked a family room but got given a double room, no refund offered. We were told hotel was fully booked, after insisting, we waited only to be offered a similar room but with twins. Still not acceptable, eventually we got the king size plus sofa bed. Room needed airing but ground floor meant windows closed when sleeping. Fan had to be requested but its cable wasn't long enough to place it conveniently. Waiting around half an hour for dessert during evening meal, no apology or explanation given. As it is, the crumble didn't have a crumbly top, lacking flavour and crunch, overall disappointing. Being ground floor and residents passing by our windows, privacy curtains much needed but not provided.
Location & views (especially from the garden looking out towards Corfe castle) Comfortable clean rooms.
Nothing! We will definitely come back!
Great location, huge room with comfortable bed, nice breakfast, amazing views from the garden
Washroom floor got very slippy
The property was beautiful especially the view from the garden, and the staff were lovely, especially the lady who checked us in on Saturday evening.
We were moved to a larger room due to a booking mix-up; however, bigger doesn’t always mean better. The room (Daisy Family Cottage) felt quite dated. The bathroom sink was cracked, the toilet seat had noticeable yellow stains, the shower pressure was very low, and the shower screen had black marks and spots on it
Great freshly cooked breakfast, view on Corfe castle in the distance
In a nice location, very clean and lots of character, friendly staff, good views from the garden and good choice of food for breakfast.
Rather a strong farmyard smell, congested parking area,, gravel to try to pull suitcase on wheels over, shower was very poor power but hot. Huge characterful room but seemed sparse on furnishings. Loud clonking noise at intervals throughout the night.
Clean, great location, helpful friendly staff
Evening meal was disappointing.
Fabulous breakfast Lovely staff Great location Very clean...apart from bathroom...mentioned below.
The shower going on to the toilet and wetting the floor. Made walking in with shoes or socks on difficult. The Room said standard to be fair...but it was definitely standard. There was a humming noise almost all night. Not enough to keep me awake, but definitely noticeable.
Beautiful location, serving staff in the restaurant were lovely and food was good
No fridge in the room, and could only open one small window on the hottest day of the year. Thankfully they were able to provide a fan when requested.
The room was comfortable, clean and cosy with everything it needed. The bathroom was possibly catered for someone with accessibility issues, but that was fine. The breakfast had good choices and the location was delightful.
The gardens were undergoing work so not all of it was open to walk through. It would have been nice to have been able to enjoy them a little more
Beautiful place. Great location
location and bed was comfortable but small. Food was pretty good too
I reported a faulty room blind and ws told it would be looked at during the time I was at dinner. It didnt happen and I got no feedback. Consequently there was a lack of privacy in the room and obviously too much light in the evening. Dont like the design of shower in the toilet facility but I knew about that from a previous stay.
Excellent
Staff
Got an upgraded room which was a lovely surprise. It was really nice and well presented. I was also really impressed by the fact they did me a takeaway bacon sandwich when I didn’t have long until my bus. Amazing friendly staff
Nothing really. The sofa was a bit uncomfortable but that’s all
Lots of parking Lovely location - near to Corfe castle and swanage coastal trails Staff were all really great and helpful Clean and adequate Really good food in the restaurant
Squeaky bed and the wet room was not well designed
The location and atmosphere was great!
The dinner wasn’t that good, but the breakfast was great!
Mooie omgeving, prima ontbijt en diner.
Niets
Setting was lovely . Vegan food options very good .
Wet room style shower , whole floor was soaked .
Spacious, clean and a high standard
Blinds were ok but would prefer curtain or black out blinds to keep the light out.
