Location was stunning. Room was clean with a great view. Facilities were good and the food at dinner was great.

The staff were rude and unwelcoming.

Der Abend in der Bar war super, zum ersten Mal wurde uns das Bier an den Tisch gebracht. Es war ein schöner Abend mit Bier und Whisky. Leider haben wir das im August 2026 preisgekrönte Restaurant nicht besucht. Die Lage des Hotels ist super.

Clean accommodation. Comfy bed. Shampoo conditioner etc in the rooms. We dined in the restaurant. Great food and friendly staff. Great position for an overnight prior to ferry from Ullapool.

Room was small but it was advertised as small double so as described. Great en-suite, tea coffee biscuits snd toiletries all supplied. No complaints.

Nous avons passé une nuit dans cette auberge, en route pour le Nord, l’ambiance était très conviviale et chaleureuse, le dîner et le petit déjeuner étaient très bien. Les chambres confortables.

Die Lage ist perfekt. Tolles Highlands Gefühl: umgeben von schottischen Natur. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Die Dame an der Rezeption war nett ausgedrückt nicht gerade freundlich.

Au vu des autres commentaires, il doit y avoir des chambres rénovées. Par contre la nôtre était, comme certain des avis, dans un état déplorable. La moquette était pleine de tâches et vraiment usée. Chambre très petite, pas de chaise, douche très exiguë. Vraiment n' y aller que pour une nuit si c'est dans ces chambres.

The mattress was to soft and springy for me as i have a problem with my hip,thus making it hard to turn over.I probably should have asked when booking if a firmer mattress was available.

Nothing it was fine for an overnight stay

Convenient location on our way to Ullapool for a one night stay.

The hotel was very expensive for a room which was not sound proof and where you could hear all of the conversation of the neighbours. The bed my two teenagers had to sleep in (family room) was so small that one of them spent the night sleeping on the floor instead. In the restaurant there was a 10% discretionary charge added to the bill automatically unless you contested that in which case they took it off... for the service we got, this was really not what we wanted to pay. Very expensive for what it was...

Das Zimmer wurde mit 22 Quadratmetern und Gartenblick angeboten. Beides stimmte nicht. Der Blick war über ein Kiesbeet auf die vielbefahrene Straße gerichtet, dazwischen der Parkplatz. Nachts waren die vorbeifahrenden Fahrzeuge sehr laut zu hören. Die nachgemessene Größe betrug lediglich ca. 12 Quadratmeter, das Badezimmer mit eingerechnet. Auf meine Reklamation hin wurde das Personal laut und abweisend.

Noise in early hours of the morning

Not much really.

Noise levels until wee small hours of night. Paper thin walls. Strange heating system which blasts heat from 6-9pm and then nothing for rest of time.

Good location for our onward journey to take the ferry from Ullapool.

It was a wee oasis in the hills. We had a lovely welcome from all the staff. Room was very clean. Great toiletries. We ate in the restaurant, food was delicious.

The bedroom and bathroom were lovely. Parking is easy and the noise from the road not very noticeable apart from at peak times and when sat in the restaurant. We ate dinner and breakfast at the Inn, both were excellent. The staff were excellent and the food very good. It is possible to walk up and across the dam, which provided a good walk for the dogs and an interesting place to visit.

Disappointing to pay for each pet as I doubt there is additional cost incurred if the pets are well-behaved and clean. Other places we stayed at do not charge extra and in this location bringing your dog along is probably common.

Das Haus hat Schutzhütten Charakter. Für eine Nacht voll in Ordnung. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt und trotz der Lage gut geschlafen.

Great restaurant with Romanian food

Vi valde att stanna härven natt inför överfarten f3ån Ullapool till Stornoway. Läget är utmärkt, ca 30 till Ullapool. Rummen är ganska små men renoverade med sköna sängar och mycket fräscha duschar där allt finns som du behöver för att fräscha upp dig. Middagen var god och servicen utmärkt. Rekommenderar särskilt deras Sticky toffee pudding! Åt inte frukist utan reste vidare tidigt på morgonen. Vägen från Altguish Inn till Ullapool är fantastisk.

Tyckte det mesta var bra. Prisvärt boende på bra läge. Saknade möjligen en sänglampa.

De verwarming werkte niet. Wifi was aanwezig, maar het signaal was niet goed. Satelliet TV was aanwezig, maar het signaal was niet goed. De locatie is zeer afgelegen, maar dat kan je weten wanneer je boekt.

Such a beautiful place with really good restaurant in the middle of nowhere))) Rooms are very clean and nicely furnished. Bathrooms are spotless with very good choice of washing supplies. Drying room is absolutely great idea in that area! Nice view from the dumb.

Great room, great food. We booked the room knowing we needed some place to stay in the area after a rainy day hiking. This inn made us feel warm again to continue travelling the next day. Well worth a visit!

Lage gut, in der Nacht ruhig trotz Straße, ausgezeichnetes Frühstück, leider zusätzlich zu bezahlen . Leckeres Abendessen. Sehr freundliches Personal . Alle Zimmer ebenerdig.

Man glaubt direkt neben dem See zu wohnen, es liegt aber eine große Staumauer dazwischen. Etwas Hellhörig

Location was great lovely views, We had dinner in the restaurant which was delicious, staff all very friendly and helpful. Room was described as a small double and it really was very small, but fine for one night and bed was super comfy.

Ce n'est pas un hôtel 4 étoiles aux normes internationales (plus un 2.5 étoiles). Il s'agit d'une pension de famille. Hotel perdu à l'entrée des Highlands. Chambre très petite. Le petit dej annoncé à 9 euros sur booking facturé 14GBP. Les locaux sont datés. Salle de bain minuscule avec un lave main pour lavabo. Pas de prise rasoir. Insonorisation insuffisante avec la salle du bar en dessous. Ok pour une nuit et pour une étape mais pas du tout adapté pour plusieurs nuits. Il ne faut pas s'attendre à du haut de gamme. La nourriture est semble-t-il très bonne mais pas testée pour nous. Autre curiosité le petit dej jusqu'à 9h maximum le dimanche matin et le check-out à 10h max! Sûrement parfait quand on travaille mais ce n'est pas ce qu'on cherche en vacances...

We booked it for the location on our NC500 tour.

Basic room with nothing warming about it. smelt a bit damp, we were in the main building .. hallways weren’t appealing. When we went to leave, the door through to reception was locked, so we had to use a fire exit. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and actually the meal was good. We were served by Heather who was very sweet and made the experience good.

Great location, and great views, especially behind. Friendly staff and nice little bar. Room was clean and beds comfortable.

The room was quite small, but it does say small double and you get the size stated when you book, so can't complain. If I was staying for more than a night or two, then I would get a larger room, but for one or two nights it is fine.

Das Hotel ist für eine Nacht zu empfehlen. Die Preise für eine Nacht sind allerdings recht hoch. Dafür war das Zimmer recht klein und Preis-Leistung passt nicht ganz. Das Essen im Restaurant und auch das Frühstück ist sehr lecker und das Personal freundlich. Die Betten war sehr bequem.
