Mary and John are two wonderful hosts, nothing is too much trouble and they are very kind. A very comfortable room and an excellent breakfast. Mary also recommended Baileys to eat which was brilliant - the best steak I've had in a long time. Would definitely stay here again.

We were warmly welcomed by Mary and John cooked us a fabulous breakfast. And the location is excellent close to a beautiful village filled with charm and of cause “the rock an amazing Castle” with a wealth of history and folklore. Loved it …. Nearly missed it however thanks to Mary we didn’t 😉

Very hospitable couple, who assisted us in any way possible. Breakfast was freshly cooked, and delicious!

Mary and John were super hosts.The room was a very good size and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice on offer. An added bonus was location and private parking.

Personally I would have liked the bedroom to have either blackout blinds or curtains.

The breakfast was delicious, and Ashmore House is lovely. Hosts Mary and John are so friendly and had many suggestions for things to do and places to eat.

This is a little like going back in time to the type of family-run, excellently managed, old-fashioned B and B that used to be synonymous with traveling abroad--and which are fewer and farther between these days. Beautifully restored Georgian-style house, lovely couple, old fashioned furnishings and vibe. Real people in a real home running a really welcoming business.

A classic B&B as you imagine it. Very central location with parking behind the house. With Mary you have a wonderful hostess. Cashel itself is a lovely town that you can visit.

Having to leave!

I cannot praise this lovely guest house highly enough. The owner, Mary, treated us more like visiting friends than paying guests. The house is a delightful Georgian mansion with a garden and parking, just off the main street in Cashel, and the rooms are well proportioned and beautifully furnished. We were welcomed, on a very hot day, with jugs of iced water for our rooms. The delicious breakfast was served in an elegant dining room, with everything prepared to order.. We wished we were there for longer than one night.

It’s a beautiful home. Well maintained, with a lovely garden in the back.

Being an old property, there was no way to cool the room down at night.

Nice familiar B&B with a fine Garden. Big choice of breakfast, by regional products. Free car parking eben while sightseeing next day. Roch of Cashel can be reached with in 10 minutes by feet

No disadvantages

A kind welcome at 19.30. We were tired having travelled all day from South Devon, UK. A good sleep in a comfy bed. Breakfast was superb. Fresh fruit, yoghurt, range of granola and mueslis + delicious fresh cooked breakfast and toast. Local preserves and the magic of wild strawberries also. Fresh coffee and crisp white tablecloths. The breakfast room looked so lovely. Not overdone but tasteful and fitting with the period of the house. We very much hope to stay again. Thank you to our hosts. We were able to park for the morning while we walked up The Rock of Cashel before making our way further west to County Clare.

All excellent. I needed to leave early but having breakfast served first thing was not a problem. Also John was extremely helpful with directions as I needed to get to Dublin as easily as possible, it turns out he was a taxi driver in Dublin for 20 years! Highly recommended

A great old building full of history with a fabulous host. The room was comfortable and we were well looked after. Location was perfect with easy parking and walking distance to the Rock of Cashel, Hore Abbey and bars and restaurants.

Exceptional service and really enjoyed learning about the history of the house. One of the best Irish breakfasts we had while on holiday in Ireland. Location was excellent as it is walking distance to Rock of Cashel.They hosts were very warm and welcoming. We loved the beautiful decorations and the hardwork that was put into this beautiful home.

The breakfast was top class with a great range of options. Both Mary and John went to great rounds to ensure that I had a most enjoyable breakfast. The neighbourhood is very historic with lovely buildings.

Mary and John could not be more welcoming and helpful. The property itself is a big old Georgian house which previously was the Catholic parochial house. It’s got a lovely aura and is so peaceful even though it’s just off the Main Street in Cashel. The rooms are spacious, clean and lovely and quiet and the breakfast was top class! Highly recommend and will definitely stay again next time I’m in Cashel.

Fantastic stay with the most welcoming hosts!

Kind and generous welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Very comfortable accommodation with fabulous home cooked breakfast offering a wide choice of local foods. Excellent location with just a short walk into Cashel with all its attractions, bars and restaurants.

Old world charm. Beautiful old Georgian house. We had the use of 2 reception room one was the dining room the other a living/ sitting room. The hosts were exceptional couldn't do enough for us and the breakfast was top class. We'll worth a visit

Mary was so welcoming and knowledgable about the area and John cooks a great breakfast :) The space was clean and the bed was incredible comfertable. There is private, off-street parking and everything was a short walk away.

As soon as we pulled in we were warmly greeted by John and helped with our bags. He gave us a thoughtful tour and made sure we had everything we needed. His recommendation for dinner was fantastic. Breakfast was hot and delicious and our host's knowledge of the area was very helpful to our sightseeing.

This is a great bed and breakfast located in Cashel with parking in the rear. It is not modern, yet very charming. The highlight were our hosts who go above and beyond to ensure you have a great stay. The breakfast was excellent. Walking distance to shops, Cashel Village and the Rock of Cashel.

Showers were a bit small, but to be expected.

Hosts were super - even offering me a shawl to wear out when it was colder than expected!

Great location, only minutes walk from the pubs and venue. Bed was so comfortable, one of the best I've slept in. Breakfast was superb. Mary and hubby have thought of everything to ensure a perfect stay. There's even brand new toothbrushes if you're unprepared. 100% recommend a stay here.

L'hôtel est idéalement situé dans le centre historique de la ville. Une magnifique demeure où l'on se sent bien. Un accueil chaleureux par les hôtes qui sont à votre écoute avec gentillesse. La chambre est très confortable et agréable. <nous avons été émerveillé par le petit déjeuner, délicieux et très copieux ! Je recommande vivement cet établissement et j'ai hâte d'y revenir séjourner.

Mary ist eine sehr aufmerksame Gastgeberin, sehr hilfsbereit, hat viele Informationen zur Stadt, zum Rock of Cashel und den aktuellen Events. Das Frühstück ist außerordentlich vielfältig. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Great parking, great location, super friendly and nice hosts. The history- the hosts gave us a great tour- and the nice breakfast and instructions. The place is ran very well.

Bathroom door in room didn’t close. I think you could use a key if you really wanted it to close. Also no sound insulation so too easy to hear people in restroom if traveling with friends

A beautiful B&B, I always book hotels but because of budget went for a B&B and it did not disappoint, the hosts were very friendly and helpful, the house beautiful furnished and Mary encouraged uou to have a look around and told you the history of the house. Personal little touches like sweets left in bowls around the house, if u forgot ur toothbrush or toothpaste they were some left in the bathroom, breakfast was delicious with a good choice of gluten free products , was a delightful place to stay.

Location was very convenient and on site parking was great. Very clean and we were very well looked after.

The pillows were a little uncomfortable and the room was quite bright (street lights).
