It looked decent from outside. It was located on the main road.

There was no one at the reception when we arrived. In the room, we found a used towel in the bathroom, and even the soap appeared to have already been used. Breakfast was included in our booking, but when we went to the rooftop restaurant, there was no staff present and the entire three-story hotel seemed completely empty except for the two of us. We eventually decided to go out for breakfast elsewhere, only to discover that the hotel’s main entrance had been locked from the outside. After calling the manager several times, he finally answered and came to unlock the door. I understand this is a small-town hotel, but making guests feel safe and comfortable should always be a hotel’s first priority. Unfortunately, that sense of security was missing during our stay.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Rosenro for one night. From the moment I arrived, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. They made me feel comfortable and helped me with everything I needed. The room was very clean, well arranged, and peaceful. The bed was comfortable, and I had a good night’s sleep. The hotel environment was calm and relaxing, which made my short stay very enjoyable. The service was excellent, and everything was well organized. Even though I stayed only for one night, I had a very pleasant experience. I truly appreciate the hospitality and kindness of the staff. I would highly recommend Hotel Rosenro to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing place to stay. I hope to visit again in the future!

I had the pleasure of staying at Roserno Hotel for more than 20 days across multiple visits between 8th and 28th March 2026, and overall it was a very comfortable and convenient experience. One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is its location. It is situated in a highly convenient area with supermarkets, shops, and food outlets nearby, making it very easy to manage day-to-day needs during an extended stay. The rooms are spacious, well-maintained, and equipped with modern amenities. Both the rooms and bathrooms are reasonably new and designed for comfort. Hygiene standards were consistently good throughout my stays. I also found the firm queen-sized mattress particularly beneficial, as it provided excellent support for my back. A unique feature of the hotel is its rooftop experience. There are two rooftop restaurants offering pleasant city views, creating a relaxing dining atmosphere. In addition, the hotel has a large and modern karaoke club that can accommodate more than 50 people, making it an excellent venue for functions such as birthdays, gatherings, and even weddings. Room service is also convenient, with the option to order food directly from the restaurant to your room, which adds to the overall comfort—especially for longer stays. The staff and management deserve special mention. They were consistently friendly, approachable, and responsive, always ready to assist when needed. Special thanks goes to the hotel manager Shaun, who was proactive in supporting customers. Overall, Roserno Hotel offers great value for money, particularly for extended stays, combining comfort, convenience, and good facilities. I would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Sri Lanka.

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Rosenroo. The place is clean, comfortable, and very relaxing. The staff are very friendly and always ready to help with anything we need. The rooms are well maintained and the atmosphere is peaceful. I really enjoyed my time here and felt very welcomed. It is a great place for anyone looking for a calm and comfortable stay. I highly recommend Hotel Rosenroo and would love to visit again in the future. 😊

Lovely staff and manager large room with a jacuzzi bath and tv with all the channels

The window in the room could be opened so got no natural light and the stairs to the rooftop bar were very long so if you have my mobility problems as there’s no lift but once on the rooftop bar the views were amazing and the food was plentiful very large potions

Staff was very friendly; we checked in early and checked out late for the same price. It is situated in a nice location of moratuwa, easy access to Moratuwa University and Esoft College of Engineering & Technology.

Washroom doesn't have lock. please fix it. Other than that all are okay.

The location was central and the manager was friendly and really responsive to requests. We had a 3AM check in and Shaun was kind enough to accomodate.

There was Wifi on all floors, however access to internet was limited due to an issue with SL Telecom, which was being looked into.

Rooftop restaurant has 360 view overlooking Colombo city and the food is fantastic. Parking is very convenient.

There was a loud noice came at whole night from a club next to this building. Bathroom commode was not clean enough. The toilet papers were not enough and almost used ones. TV was not connected to any channels. Not value for money. I paid two nights but checked out in one night.

I’d like everything to be available in one place, with easy access to Keells and nearby shopping in Piliyandala and Mount Lavinia.

This is an OK hotel, but unfortunately they also have a club on the premises which pumps out very loud dance music until the early hours of the morning. First night 0700, second night 0500. Almost impossible to get a good night's sleep. I hope they make a bunch of money from the club, because they won't be getting much repeat business from anyone other than dance freaks...🤔🤔

I stayed two days at this hotel and had a pleasant experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. I appreciated the convenient location and good service. Would recommend for a short stay or weekend getaway.

Warm and friendly welcome from the entire team, including Shaun as the Manager. Well centralized location to reach and commute around Piliyandala / Moratuwa / Maharagama / Colombo and the suburbs.

Shaun the hotel manager gave such attentive care throughout the short stay, always one call away and the housekeeper Shiva was such a nice guy, delivering service on time as such a 5 star service, coming from a hotelier this is proper Colombo city hotel treatment, kudos to the entire team, the food was amazing as well!

Wonderful Stay – Clean, Friendly & Helpful! I had a fantastic stay at this guest house! The rooms were spotlessly clean, cozy, and very comfortable. The staff was extremely kind, welcoming, and always willing to assist. Everything was well-maintained, and I felt truly at home during my stay. I had an early checkout at 4 AM, and the owner kindly woke up at that hour to assist me, which I deeply appreciated. I highly recommend this place and would love to visit again!

The room was seems like what they showed in the picture..All the facilities were fantastic.. storage facilities also available in good manners.. Staffs were very friendly and the manager was awesome.. Internet speed was high.. Bathroom was Very comfortable and cleaned... Provided a fridge for my medication on request. It was a great help.

Place was closed when we arrived. I have requested an early check in. Had to call the number I was given. After calling that number he arrived. We had to wait around more than 15 minutes with our luggage. I informed the same person prior to travel over the phone and as a message that I have booked the room for 2 people but it was missed when I booked the room. He said 'ok'. But after we checked in we were told that we have to pay extra LKR 1500.00 per day for the extra guest. Changed our mood completely. Place is closed from 1am to 11 am and no security and we were told that we have to call the person whose phone number we were given if we have to go out during that time. We informed that it was a health and safety risk if there was an emergency as doors were closed from outside and no way to get out. Then he gave my husband a key to the lock. We took a huge risk by taking it. They have to arrange something for the entrance like providing a swipe card so people who are staying there can go in and out safely. People using restaurants are using the same staircase which can be a nuisance to guests.

Staff was excellent, especially the Manager Shaun and Sameera. Very good service and hospitality.

The staff was very friendly and professional. There's a supermarket (Super K) nearby (at a walking distance) as well, which I really liked in terms of the location. The restaurant at Hotel Rosenro is open until midnight which is also a big advantage, specially for the ones who have late night dinners like me XD. A very safe place hence can be highly recommended to the solo travelers just like me.

Rooms are new, clean and staff is very friendly.

Staff is exceptional! Really polite, friendly and helpful (give us some cutlery and adaptor for charging). The room was ok, it was clean and decent for the price.

The only little thing was that there was a small leak in the bathroom, coming from underneath the shower cabin, but it was ok.

Size of the bed not satisfied,

I was coming from the airport and had to check in at 2 AM. While this hotel does not have a 24/7 desk, the person in charge was simply a call away to come and check me in. Similarly, I had to check out at 7 AM, which was done with a simple call. I should point out the closeness this hotel is to the University of Moratuwa. So if you have a short visit there, this place is quite suitable.

The room did not have a fridge or a microwave. Therefore, I don't think I will pick this hotel for stays longer than one night. Also, there was a suspicious stain on the wall (See the third photo). There were some tiny transparent objects that were very painful to step on the tile floor (See the fourth photo). Initially, I was worried that they may be broken glass. But after closer inspection, I gathered that these are the small anti-insect balls that you get in your bags etc. I am not sure if the hotel put them there on purpose to stop insects or if they fell off a bag of a guest. But either way, they were not fun to step on.

We were looking for a last minute hotel in the area and we could not have found a better place. Very friendly and helpful staff !! And really comfy room !! Greatly recommend !!
