Gamletull Guesthouse

As a touring cyclist it had everything I needed, secure bike storage, washer/dryer, all the comforts of home. The bed was super nice. The hosts were very friendly and were helpful with all my needs.

We have been gravelling Europe for three months and have stayed in quite a few excellent places and Gamletull Guesthouse is right there at the top of the list. Just a few steps down to a basement apartment where we were blown away with what was presented to us. The large, spacious accommodation was outfitted to the hilt with high quality designer furnishings and equipment. Ultra modern and very Scandinavian we had every luxury that we could have wished for. There was more than enough cupboard space in every room including the bathroom which was equipped with washing machine and dryer. Top quality iron and ironing board was most appreciated. The bed was super comfy and the linen great. There was no skimping with anything, it felt so generous with all the little extras. Obviously the owners take personal pride in what they have created and with a very valid reason. We LOVED our one night stay and wished we could have extended for a week.

Alles was er! Keukenspullen en -apparaten, verwarmde vloer in de badkamer, een buitenzitje, heerlijk beddegoed, koffie en thee inbegrepen, en zeer vriendelijke bewoners. Enige minpunt is dat het wat donker is, maar door alle pluspunten vergeet je dat snel. Een dikke vette 10!!

Jättetrevligt värdpar! Lägenheten var välstädad, fint inrett och hade alla bekvämligheter man kunde önska sig. Skön säng och bäddsoffa. Bra läge, gångavstånd till stan.

Great location and very hospitable hosts who were very friendly and helpful. Basement apartment is well equipped with everything we needed. Having access to a washing machine was a bonus.

There was a little road noise but nothing significant.

Das hervorragend mit allen denkbaren Geräten und mit stilvoller Einrichtung großzügig ausgestattete Apartment befand sich in der Nähe des Zentrums. Altstadt, Park, Kunstmuseum, Schloss und Bibliothek waren gut zu Fuß oder mit dem Rad erreichbar. Es gibt in Halmstad viel Gastronomie und ein Supermarkt war in der Nähe, so dass wir uns gut selbst versorgen konnten. Auch zum Bahnhof war es nicht weit. Im Außenbereich gab es einen großen Tisch und einen Grill, die Fahrräder konnten wir in einer Garage einschließen. Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend, haben uns auch mit guten Tipps versorgt.

Das Apartment lag im Souterrain und war deshalb relativ dunkel, was an heißen Tagen ein Vorteil ist. In das supergute hohe Bett war es für mich als Kleine (1,57 m) mit Hüftproblemen etwas schwer einzusteigen, dann haben wir aber hervorragend geschlafen. Der Straßenverkehr war tagsüber recht laut.

Public parking outside is available ... but if you arrive late during the day, the parking places might be full ... thankfully the owner allowed us to park on their garage drive in.

Meget moderne og meget pænt. Ret stor lejlighed med egen indgang og parkering gratis på gaden tæt på. Værterne er hyggelige og nemme at snakke med. Og har særdeles fornuftige interesser (Volvo). Dejligt tæt på byen og ikke langt fra indkøb. Veludstyret køkken og dejlig stue. Gerne igen. Det er i en kælder, men det virker helt tørt og fint.

Alles is aanwezig en alles is netjes

Niets, misschien alleen dat je je auto niet direct bij het huis kunt parkeren. Maar dat is niet echt een minpunt.

Bra läge, väldigt privat och man kunde vara ifred. Väldigt trevliga och hjälpsamma värdar som hade tänkt på allt.

Det var tyvärr ganska dåligt dammsuget när vi kom. Min man som är allergiker blev väldigt påverkad. Övrigt var dock rent och snyggt. Efter en ordentlig dammsugning och tvätt av filtarna hade han dock inga problem med sin allergi. För någon som är väldigt känslig mot päls hade jag dock inte rekommenderat boendet då det är mycket textilier och är såklart omöjligt att få bort allt hår. Något dyrt för säsongen, vi var där i början av december.

Vi bor i lägenhet på Nissastrand ca400 meter från Gamletull Guesthouse. Perfekt läge när vår lägenhet fylldes av barn och barnbarn för julfirande. Nu har vi testat ett boende vi kan rekommendera när vi får gäster som inte ryms i vår lägenhet.

Appartement très confortable parfait pour 3 personnes (1 lit 2 personnes + canapé lit). Cuisine super équipée, salle de bain avec le chauffage sol tres agréable. Propriétaire sur sympa.

Everything met my expectations, but it wasn’t mentioned in the listing that the apartment is in the basement of the building.

It was an absolutely amazing place to stay. The place was spacious and equipped with all the necessary amenities. We cooked meals with the family. The town is easily accessible by foot. I recommend staying here if you visit Halmstad.

Everything we needed was thoughtfully provided by the host — everything was well-organized and perfectly prepared. We got a bit lost on the way, but the host kindly welcomed us and guided us to the property. Location is amazing, there’s 2 supermarkets available around. I highly recommend this accommodation.

Super mooie accommodatie met alles wat je nodig hebt. De tv had streamings diensten met een account voor de gasten, wasmasmachine en droger, oven en magnetron, goede wifi, dichtbij een supermarkt. Kortom super! :)

Die freundliche Art des Gastgebers. Man merkt, das er möchte, das es seinen Mietern gut geht. Ansonsten war auch alles bestens.

This is a beautifully decorated, organised, and comfortable apartment that we were so pleased to stay in. Very well equipped including laundry, big kitchen, huge comfy couch, two TVs with streaming services, and a lovely patio outside for you to use. We would absolutely stay here again!

Absolutely amazing place to stay, wish it was longer. Fully equipped, cozy and modern - feels like home. Will definitely come back again.
