All the extra touches...mohair blankets, hot water bottles, electric blankets, generous toiletries as well as morning delights (decent filter coffee!)...the list goes on! Did I mention how beautiful (and clean) all the rooms are! The cottage is well situated close to all amenities too (lovely to be able to walk to the restaurants).
The only thing I didn't like was the fact that we could only stay for one night! Will have to return!

Reviewed May 19, 2026The entire experience was elevating. Beautifully styled. The kitchen allowed us to bake scones in the morning. A warm fireplace, mohair blankets, brass taps, beautiful fabrics - these people know how to craft luxury. We were sorry that we booked only one night. We could easily imagine ourselves spending a week unwinding, painting in the courtyard (which was an extra great surprise), cooking, reading, walking, and coming back to it's understated grandeur after day trips.

We especially loved the old-style charm—it really adds to the character of the cottage and makes the stay feel special. The private courtyard was a highlight for us, offering a quiet and peaceful spot to unwind. The location is also excellent, just a short walk from the beautiful church and convenient takeaway options nearby. A charming and comfortable stay—we would definitely recommend it!

Reviewed Mar 25, 2026Ein absoluter Diamant! Das Cottage besticht durch eine wahnsinnig gemütliche Einrichtung und ist dabei wahnsinnig mondän. Der Innenhof ist eine kleine Oase und das alles eingebettet in tolle Straßenzüge von Graaff-Reinet. Die Lage am Cambedoo-Nationalpark ist perfekt. Die Einrichtung ließ nichts zu wünschen übrig. Die frischen Blumen waren ein toller Empfang. Bei Fragen war Sarah sofort zur Stelle.

Nothing I didn't like, but my sister and I are both pensioners and I think a grab rail or a shower mat in the shower would be a good idea, for safety reasons.

Reviewed Feb 10, 2026It’s charming to say the least! What a find. High ceilings, luxury bedding, curtains that complimented the space and bathroom finished that made us smile. Oh, an absolute stop over! Walking distance from coffee shops and local spots. Calm street. What more can you ask
It did get hot, but the 3 fans did their job. Also waited until eve to open any windows. Then welcomed the breeze.

The cottage does not have proper parking and zero security for the car. You need to park the car in a narrow road up against the cottage. However there is no security and our bike wheels were all stolen. We went out to the street to see the damage and a nasty woman across the road screamed at us and told us to shut up as we were talking and it was late!

Only complain is that we had to go back to work and couldn't stay longer!

There is no off-street parking, but this was not an issue. We unpacked our car and experienced no problems whatsoever.

Reviewed Jun 9, 2025The rooms were very spacious the home was lovely decorated. I loved all old worldly charm and character. The bathrooms had real brass fittings and the big key for the back door was very cool. It was a real home away from home. It was within walking distance to all the restaurants and shops in town.
It has off street parking but we were informed about that ahead of time (more than once 🙂). However it didn't seem too dodgy and it was right in front of the house.

The washing machine was well used after having spent already one week on the road during our trip. Supermarket and restaurants/Cafés in walking distance. Public parking on the street directly in front of the house.
