家庭房中的上下铺床不够扎实，翻身时摇动的厉害，一家人睡觉都多少受影响。

Gedeelde badkamers en in tegenstelling tot de beschrijving is het hotel niet met de auto bereikbaar. Laatste stuk van de reis is met een minuscule kabelbaan, auto blijft na een zeer avontuurlijke bergrit achter op een betaalde parkeerplaats.

Reviewed Aug 19, 2026Ein echter Geheimtipp auf der ruhigen Seite der Rigi, man fühlt sich sehr willkommen und wird vorbildlich beherbergt. Das Frühstück ist gut, einfach und regional; die Zimmer sind urig, wie von einem ehrwürdigen Bergasthaus zu erwarten ist. Das Abendessen war sehr lecker und wurde auch sehr freundlich serviert. Besonders gefallen hat mir der gute "Geist" im Haus, wofür ich mich herzlich bedanken möchte.
Da gibt es nichts, vielleicht nur, dass es etwas mehr Obst zum Frühstück geben könnte, und dass die Zeit im Rigi Burggeist zu schnell zu Ende war.

Reviewed Aug 9, 2026Das Personal war außergewöhnlich hilfsbereit und freundlich. Die Anfahrt mit der Seilbahn hat dafür gesorgt, dass wir diese Unterkunft noch lange in guter Erinnerung behalten werden.
Das einzige was uns etwas gestört hat, war dass unser Familienzimmer nur eine Steckdose hatte.

Leckeres Essen und ein tolles Frühstück. Alle unsere Wünsche wurden erfüllt Es hat sogar Duschen mit Warmwasser :-) Und das war seit langem in den Bergen das erste Mal :-)

Reviewed May 25, 2026This is not your normal hotel. The facilities are fine, if basic . But the location is beyond compare. By a country mile the most spectacular place I have ever stayed in, surrounded by cows (and cowbells) and a view of central Switzerland covering a vast area. Benny is truly a wonderful host and it is a wonderful place.
The walk to the Sheidigg cable station is quite tough if you aren’t particularly mobile

Reviewed May 9, 2026I stayed here for one night with my girlfriend, everything was absolutely amazing. The owner (Beni) was very friendly and spoke great English. The highlight of the stay was that our window faced the sunrise, and we woke up at 6am to see how the sun rises from behind the distant Alp peaks -- to say that it was breathtaking would be to understate things.

I was expecting an old fashioned room stay, so it was fine with me, but for those expecting a modern hotel this might not cut it. Perfect place for a backpacking and single night family outing.

Reviewed Apr 6, 2026Der herzliche Empfang schon an der Seilbahn und die natürliche Gastfreundschaft vom Hausherr, mit der Ruhe und Gemütlichkeit der wundervollen Location machen den Aufenthalt zu einem rundum seelenfrohen Erlebnis. Für das Wohlbefinden ist mit einem stärkenden Frühstück, leckerem Abendessen und heimatlichen Spezialitäten, sowie einem sauberen Zimmer (Dusche/WC) bestens gesorgt. Weitere Highlights sind Wanderungen direkt ab dem Gasthaus, Sonnenauf- und Untergänge vom Zimmerfenster oder der Terrasse und mögliche Ausflüge ganz in der Nähe.
Zur Vollendung hat nur noch das für mich obligatorische Frühstücksei gefehlt. Wahrscheinlich sind sie zu Ostern lediglich ausgegangen :) Alle Wünsche wurden jedenfalls mehr als erfüllt. Vielen lieben Dank und auf bald!

Como foi festa de final de ano ônibus que leva até o teleférico que aliás é a única opção para chegar no hotel ficou com pouco horários disponível,se perder o último que sai 17:20 se não me engano só subindo com táxi,durante a semana tem mais,mas se tem feriado fica sem opção ,mas foi só isso mesmo ,pega o barco desce em Gersau e de lá pega o micro bus pra subir e te levar até o teleférico e o teleférico vai direto para o hotel . Se subir de carro ir com cuidado porque tem muitas curvas e estrada única .

Reviewed Oct 20, 2025Die Begrüssung und Bedienung durch den Wirt warten aussergewöhnlich, was man anderswo leider oft vermisst. Besonderer Erwähnung sollte erwähnt werden, dass sehr auf Nachhaltigkeit geachtet wird. Das fällt im positiven Sinne auf: Ketchup und Majo bei den Pommes in wiederverwendbaren kleinen Schraubgläsern. Es sind manchmal nur solche Kleinigkeiten die beweisen, wie Nachhaltigkeit funktioniert und dennoch der Gast hier absolut im Vordergrund steht.
Meiner Bewertung in den Einzelkategorien muss man ergänzen, dass es sich im Burggeist um keine Sterne-Unterkunft handelt. Es ist ein einfaches Berggasthaus! Dafür sauber, bequeme Betten mit einer herzlichen Bedienung.

Les chambres sont simples, mais propres. Et la vue sur les alpes est tout simplement imprenable avec les vaches qui broutent devant le chalet. Je recommande sans hésitez.
