It was better than we expected. It was close to the athletic stadium, that helped us a lot during the 3 days at SA's. Very helpful and friendly host.

It’s spacious, has great facilities

The service was extremely poor. My first visit, I gave them the benefit of the doubt, however the second visit, things escalated. First visit, the main bedroom had no access to hot water in the shower, only the bathtub and the other room had hot water. There was a torn towel which they claim was burnt when they ironed it, yet they still saw it fit for guests. During our first visit the rooms were not cleaned after our first night and only when we complained, were we told that they only clean per request which I found puzzling. I book almost every month at different hotels and guest houses, I’ve never heard of a place being cleaned only upon request. After requesting that the rooms be cleaned, still we were told to leave the kitchen the way we found it. The gate is left unlocked (sometimes even left wide open) at night and there is no one to man the gate (i.e. no guards). There is nowhere to plug both side lamps and the kettle must be placed on the floor for plugging. BUT WHAT REALLY SHOCKED ME IS THE AGENT/MANAGER’s ATTITUDE - I’m happy to send my communication with her when I inquired about the 13% charge per hour for late check outs. Check out is at 10am and that’s very unreasonable, especially on weekends. Checkout is usually 11am on weekends for most establishments.

The only upside is that the location of the guesthouse is in a private secure estate..

I couldn't stay at Bahlalerwa Royal Guesthouse due to no electricity. The Guesthouse does not have a backup system in place. I couldn't iron, warm up food and had to search for another place to stay again.

Host was very friendly and accommodating. The accommodation was extremely spacious and clean.

I loved everything about this guesthouse,it was clean, spacious and was filled with so much ambiance.

The only problem was that at first the GPS took us to a different gate as the guesthouse is situated inside of a gated area which i feel could be a problem if you're checking in at night. But we rerouted and it took us to the correct gate eventually.

Beautiful place. Clean, neat and very comfortable. Hostess was friendly and professional. Everything was just amazing!

The guest house is clean and in a closed residential area, offering a safe environment. It is easy to connect to the highway.

This property offers two rooms, rented out separately, with shared living areas and kitchen. If you are fortunate, you end up with considerate co-guests. But you can also end up with other guests who claim access to all public facilities, with no consideration of noise or the impact of their use of these spaces on the other guest(s). The owner stays separately in the main house and has no control or awareness of guest bahaviour. This place is not suitable for separate rentals. I checked out after only one night.

I recently stayed at this guesthouse for the weekend.. Overall, it was a great experience and excellent value for money. The location is fantastic—close to shops as well as Delville swimming pool and, importantly, I felt quite safe, which isn’t always the case in Germiston.

When I initially booked, I didn’t realize that the kitchen and lounge are shared with other guests. I’m not sure how I missed that—perhaps it could be made a bit more prominent in the listing. For the first two nights, we had the place to ourselves, but we shared the common areas with another couple on the last night. Thankfully, they were very considerate, so it worked out fine, but I was a bit apprehensive at first. In future, I’ll probably ask whether it’s possible to book out the whole place.

Was told to pay extra money for late check in was not aware of the rule before I made a booking otherwise I would not have made the booking I felt like a thief when told to wait while they made sure everything was ok before personal I did not take it well

The place was clean and very secure. No problems checking in. The host was nice enough to cater to our needs as requested no matter the time. It is a very peaceful and quiet area

They did not come to clean the room during our stay. No extra toilet paper was put out for us. The swimming pool came with an extra fee. The kitchen area and lounge area were shared spaces so we would not have enjoyed our stay if there were other people who booked. The shower cant be regulated as it's a gas geyser.

Sharing the accommodation with another guest. When I did the booking I was under the impression that we will have our own privacy. I don't know if the sharing part is mentioned on the booking site, I might have missed it. If not, I suggest you mention it.

The hot water system is a gas geyser. Tempersture control is impossible to achieve, so the water is cold most of the time because it takes forever to heat up.

Our stay at Bahlalerwa was exceptional! The room was spacious, the bed was divine, and the neighborhood was peaceful. Our host(Lucky) was the icing on the cake - friendly, welcoming, and attentive. We feel grateful to have had such a fantastic host. We highly recommend Bahlalerwa to anyone.

It really is value for money. The staff is absolutely amazing. I would go back there 50× more.. The rooms are biiiiiig.. There is more than enough space for it all. The closet space is endless and has hangers. It is OCD level clean. They have almost anything you can think of needing in terms of the kitchen. The area it is located in is safe and quiet!

The entry system at the gate. The property is located within a gated area which only the manager can give entry and exit codes. Although they give you the remote for the gate, it is a bit of a hassle when two people booked same room, and need to do different things at different times Because then you need to ask for the entry/exit code. Or even when you have an Uber delivery or pickup ride, you can open with the remote from your room so they need a code. But I guess it also helps to control movement around property. Bring Twin plugs for your electronic device chargers . I was lucky I brought mine .

I love the design of the place, simple but beautiful. We were fortunate enough to be the only ones booked in the 2 bedroom house so it instantly felt like home.

Only one thing I would suggest is to whats app the information needed to gain access to the property or to email it earlier . It is access controlled street and the info needed to get into the property arrived to my email on our arrival day while we were already travelling so I didn't receive it. This almost proved hugely problematic as we had no contact number for the place either. We actually got in when another car opened the access gate to the secure street. So please make contact with the customer earlier than the travel day itself or whats app as they may not have access to email in the car.

Cockroaches, it was difficult to eat there. Please fumigate becuase it ruins everything for a self catering guesthouse. At night they come out like ants

The place truly lives up to its name, a true royal facility, immaculate with modern interior and exterior touches. Furthermore the rooms are spacious, clean high end linen and everything you need to make it a home away from home. It's just a pity that I didn't get to fully experience this palace as my stay was a single night however I will definitely be coming back.

Just a bit difficult to find the place but the general manager was a delight and assisted us.
