This hotel deserves an 11. The staff answered all questions, the kitchen staff amended the menu to meet our vegetarian requests, and the servers were outstanding. The front staff made taxi arrangements for us and told us about the local temple when we inquired. They also booked our boating adventures.

Nothing it exceeded our expectations.

The hotel venue is great since it connects with the waterway of the Tram Chim national park. There's a deck where you can sit and have coffee and watch the birds during sunset and sunrise which was fantastic. We also took the night boat tour designed by the hotel, and we loved it. The tour guide was enthusiastic, friendly and nice and he lent us the binoculars to watch the birds. The front desk staff were also nice. There's also bike rental service which we rented two bikes and ride to the hotel nearby farm (Senta farm). It was lovely ride and we enjoyed the people and the coconut at the farm.

Food at the hotel was rather pricey, even more than restaurants in big city like Ho Chi Minh city. We ordered a chicken curry soup, and were told curry with the whole chicken, but the portion was only half of chicken (we think!) and we were still hungry after the meal (dinner). The free breakfast that came with the hotel room booking was okay.

Wildbird Hotel is a lovely little spot on the perimeter of Tràm Chim National Park. We stayed in the quiet season, but still received great service. The room was bright, fresh and clean. The food was nice, slightly more expensive than in the township. We enjoyed an evening bike ride, a boat ride, and bird watching. Staff assisted with boat, taxi, and bus bookings. I would highly recommend Wildbird Hotel to families, bird enthusiasts, and those who love nature.

De ligging van dit hotel is geweldig. Aan de achterkant wandel je zo de natuur in. De medewerkers doen echt veel moeite om het naar je zin te maken.

Le personnel est très agréable. Les chambres sont confortables et propres. L' environnement agréable, petite balade à pied pour regarder le coucher du soleil sur la réserve et les oiseaux

La sortie en bateau moteur organisée par le Parc. Ce conducteur a fait un itinéraire de 3 heures beaucoup trop rapidement, sans s' arrêter alors qu' il y a des milliers d' oiseaux à voir. Pas moyen de faire des photos. Quel gâchis ! Cette réserve est un paradis pour les oiseaux. Il faudrait des bateaux électriques, à l' énergie solaire pour ne pas effrayer les magnifiques oiseaux grands et petits et le confort des passagers.

Kind and helpful personel, speaking english which is very rare in this area. Really good food and what's most important - great spot for bird observation!

As the name suggest: very close to the park and with caring staff.

An excellent hotel from which to explore the neighboring swampland and the birdlife there-in.

Not really a problem with the hotel but the boat captains don't really understand birds and birding. Having a dedicated skipper prepared to spend time observing the different species instead of just going round and round would be good.

Lage direkt am Nationalpark. Boote fahren von dort ab zur Vogelbeobachtung. Sehr großes und sehr sauberes Zimmer. Preis-Leistung unschlagbar. Schöner Frühstücksbereich im Außenbereich. Freundliches Personal.

Landstraße vor der Haustür etwas laut. Aber in den Zimmern nach hinten hat man nichts davon mitbekommen. Boot, das durch die Kanäle des Nationalparks fährt ist so laut, dass alle Vögel verscheucht werden. Elektromotor oder Floß/Ruderboot wären sinnvoller.

L'hôtel est situé à l'entrée du parc naturel ce qui est très pratique pour observer les oiseaux tôt le matin. L'hôtel met a disposition des vélos pour parcourir les distances entre les tours d'observation. Il suffit de demander....

Spotless clean room and beds. You would not expect such a nice place on the main road. We came for bird watching and it is absolutely worth for your money. The owner himself is also a bird watcher and an expert. The guide is very professional .

A very clean and comfortable stay. Sadly there was not a lot of things to do around us. But for those who like bird watching it would be ideal.

We were very disappointed with our meal. A lot of this was to do with the language. As we couldn't understand the menu.

I very much enjoyed my stay at the Wildbird Hotel. There were 3 choices for breakfast along with fruit, porridge, coffee and tea. The outdoor restaurant also serves excellent food for lunch and dinner. The staff are very kind and helpful. The hotel is within walking distance to the Tram Chim National Park where you can arrange for a boat tour of the park. Beautiful photos of the many species of birds found within the park limits line the walls of the common areas of the hotel. The owner is an active volunteer with the park in helping to restore the Sarus crane population.

Stay one night to visit Tram Chim. The boat picked up us from the hotel and the staff prepared for us to have breakfast on boat. Lovely place to watch sun set

The hotel was clean and very comfortable, super easy to go on an early bird-watching excursion since the hotel has its own pier to enter the National Park's waterway. They also provide breakfast on the boat if you go on the tour at 6AM. Next to the tour, there are 2 short walking routes for bird-watching, but don't expect too much. In case you need (extra) binoculairs, they have multiple available to borrow at the reception desk (free of charge).

Difficult to communicate with some of the staff, even when using Google Translate. Restaurant is okay, but not great and it's the only option for dinner if you don't have a motorbike. Unfortunately only 1 English-speaking boat-tour guide, so make sure to check availability in case you don't speak Vietnamese (or go without a guide)

This is a wonderful place. Perfectly located for the national park, great facilities and an excellent breakfast. Be sure to go on the 6.00 am boat trip for close up views of the birds - organised through the hotel. If you want a great local bird guide you can email phuquy.wildbirdtramchim@gmail.com - good English, very reasonable prices and will get you access to parts of the national park that are normally off limits for your sea.

We stayed two nights and ate both our evening meals in the hotel restaurant. The food was a bit bland (unlike the wonderful breakfast) but I guess there are other eating options in the vicinity.

Staffs are super-friendly, helpful and communicated in a proper manner.

If your only reason for coming to Vietnam is to visit Tram Chim National Park, it will be worth it. And the ideal place to stay is right inside the park in the Wildbird Hotel. Once we had checked in we were offered loan binoculars for free. If you don’t have your own, make sure you take up this offer. Huge tip: TAKE THE BOAT TOUR The highlight of our stay was the 3 hr guided tour with brilliant English speaking guide Quy (pronounced Wee) – make sure you ask for him for a stunning and knowledgeable commentary of every bird you’ll see. He would generally spot the bird first and have a photo of it taken in an instant, ready to show you if you missed it. Incredible skills. We saw many rare and endangered species that got Quy so excited we ended up taking 5hrs for our 3hr tour. As for the hotel (which only opened in April 2023), the rooms are clean, comfortable and adequate size. Super decked out bathroom with a proper shower. No fridge or TV, so don’t expect them. The outdoor restaurant is very pleasant, but bring google translate AND search for pictures so you know that riceland prawns are not ordinary prawns raised in ricelands (they may well be) but prawns that are about the size of a grain of rice. Impossible to shell, and have an unpleasant mouth feel. Our favourite dish was stir fried vegetables with mushrooms, which wasn’t even on the menu but was offered when we requested stir fried vegetables with no meat. Oh – the English menu has no pictures, so ask for the Vietnamese one as well. Do yourself a favour and come and visit this delightful corner of Vietnam. Addendum: There didn’t seem to be a distinction between ground floor and 1st floor rooms when we booked, and ended up with a ground floor “lake view” room (“canal view” would be a better description). Not quite what I expected, but if you can find out how to book a 2nd floor room, good luck.

Tips for the hotel management: Supply some hand cleaner/body wash at the washbasin. It’s annoying having to duck into the shower to get some soap every time you need to wash your hands. An internal security lock for the door would be a welcome cheap addition. Add a non-slip sheet between the mattress and the bed base. Every time you sit on the bed it feels like the mattress is sitting on an ice rink. Add a bedside lamp to BOTH sides of the bed – not just one side. The single bedside lamp is fine for one person, but not good enough for the 2nd person, so if you want to read in bed, you have to leave the main lights on, and since there is no light switch at the bed to turn the main lights off, you have to get up to turn the light off. The WiFi is unsecured. I could have snooped anyone’s unencrypted traffic it I’d wanted to. This is so easy to fix by adding a WPA2 password. WiFi does not re-connect automatically if you close your phone or move out of range, so unless you are VERY careful, you end up using expensive phone data even while in the hotel. Very annoying. There are many systems that can provide a better WiFi service, and would fix the unencrypted traffic problem too.

The excursion boat picks you up from right in front of the hotel, which also provides tickets. You can also use the roof of the building for birdwatching

Access to national park. Family and their staff are deeply committed to their surroundings and the environment - and in particular the wonderful bird life of the park. The staff are courteous and kind. The food is exceptional.

Great location. A perfect stop on the way from HCMC to Ha Tien. There is a National bird park across the road.

Stay in this hotel was the highlight of our trip. Staff was exceptionally friendly. They really tried to accomodate us, even help us out on the way there, when out travel plans crashed. The sourroundings are amazing. The property is is bordering national park, for which you can easily access the information. But do take your time and visit the nearby town and farms, possibly even local artist. Area has huge potential for further development. Therefore size the opportunity and visit before mass tourism starts. I have to compliment the kitchen. Food prepared there was amazing. Really top quality, midely spiced and really nicely balanced in flavours.

I will be reall picky about this so do take the comment in line with my positives: breakfast soup does not meet the kitchen standardas displayed at dinner and launch.

Very hospitable staff and owners that made me feel extra welcomed as a foreign solo traveller, inviting me to join in their activities around the area. The location is right next to the national park and the hotel can arrange a tour boat to pick you up right from the hotel’s pier. There is also a nice spot overlooking the park where you can enjoy a nice cup of morning coffee.
