Firefly Hostel

Alles wunderbar. Tolle Leute, sauber, bequeme Betten, schöne Aussicht. Die Einrichtung ist einfach aber tiptop. Der Gemeinschaftsbereich drinnen und draussen ist gemütlich. Es hat ein cafe auf der Dachterrasse mit leckerem Essen. Die Unterkunft ist eher weiter oben am Hügel von Old Manali (nähe Manu Tempel). Hat mich nicht gestört aber bedeutet ca. 20 minuten Gehdistanz vom Fluss hoch. Der Owner ist sehr hilfsbereit und cool.

Great ambience

The location is exceptional. This is one of the best hostel stays I’ve been in - they organised a lot of fun activities and outings. Lastly, the food at their rooftop cafe was great as well. Highly recommend staying at this place!

Staying here in Firefly was honestly one of the best travel experience I've ever had. What started as just a place to stay quickly turned into a place felt like home. Shubham and Aman are most amazing person you come across, best place amazing vibes. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

If you're heading to Old Manali, this place is a gem you can book without a second thought! The views are absolutely stunning, giving you that perfect mountain vibe. One of the highlights for me was the food—it's genuinely delicious. I’d highly recommend trying their daily specials—during my stay, I had their pancakes, and they were incredible! The staff is super friendly and helpful, which made the stay feel even more comfortable. The entire property is very well maintained—clean, cozy, and just the kind of space you’d want to unwind in after a day of exploring. Overall, this place offers the perfect blend of great food, beautiful views, and warm hospitality. Highly recommended if you're visiting Old Manali!

The location is very good but the route to reach is a bit tricky because the slope is very stiff..but the facilities are good and the location is great..And the owner Shubham and Aman both are very familiar .. and they will not let you feel that you are a guest .. you will feel as if he is your friend..

Both Aman and Shubham (Hosts) are friendly guys and try their best to make the guests comfortable. The chai of the rooftop kitchen is indeed really really good. Kudos to the kitchen manager. I wish I could have stayed more days.

Manali vibe is dying a slow death and traveller community as a whole needs to discuss why and do something about it.

You arrive in Manali for the start of your solo trip, you find this place in the calm streets of Old Manali. You try the food at the cafe looking at the amazing view from the roof. You think you'll chill here for a couple of days, but then you meet the hosts and people around the property. All your travel plans fail and you end up staying at firefly for a month. Great place, Great hosts, Great neighborhood & Great food.

The property is clean and neat the host is cool and assists us patiently with our requests. The community hall in the terrace is so good where you can mingle with the fellow travellers and the view from that place is awesome. I am not a tea person. But i loved the tea from the firefly cafe. It's a must try.

The property and the owner of the hostel both are very good and special thanks to brother shubham he is very polite and helpful one of the best experience of my life everybody should definitely come here if you want a good stay in manali

The road leading to the property can feel slightly treacherous if there's snow/ice, but that's true for many properties in Manali during the winter season

Firefly is the perfect place which gives a panoramic view of the mountains of Manali. The hostel is the perfect testament of beauty. Aman and Shubham are perfect hosts with their charming nature. The energetic hikes were mind blowing. They have an exquisite menu with freshly made pizza, pasta, aloo paratha, biryani, dal makhani are ultimately delicious. To top it all its fun to watch the bubbly Nemo & Nia. If your a nature lover Firefly is the right place to stay.

There is nothing you can list that one would not like about this place. Everything was perfect on point, the Host, the arrangements, location, view, food and all. The best past about the place was the involvement of Shubham and Aman, they make you feel the place as your second home, their vibe is amazing, it doesn't make you feel as guest, but you feel yourself as the part of their hostel family.

Clean rooms. Gyeser was working. Cafeteria is also avilable on roof. Nice mountain view from roof and room.

Road to property is on high slop and water runs over road. Its dangerous during snow in winter. Room heater is chargable. Food is not allowed to eat inside room. My cab driver was not coming till property due to bad road. Locker is not available, you can drop your luggage at reception on your risk.

Location and ambience!

The location of the property is fabulous. It is away from all the hustle of the market yet not so far away. The place is very quiet and peaceful. The rooms were clean and tidy. The host and all the staff were very welcoming. Must recommended.

I was doing solo travel and ones I started staying at this property now manali feels like home 🤌

We recently stayed at a hostel located near Manu Temple, and it was an incredible experience. The views of the mountains were breathtaking, and everything about our stay was perfect. The accommodations were comfortable and cozy. A special mention goes to Shubham, the owner of the property. He was extremely helpful, and his suggestions about the local area were invaluable. Brilliant! Thank you, Shubham. We will definitely recommend this place to others.

I have to say nothing

this is a hostel and not a luxury hotel but it was definitely a perfect place to stay. The staff was amazing, very helpful, efficient and nice. The rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms and kitchen were always clean and tidy.

Quiet location and spacious room. Nice concept.

A lot of bugs and flies in the room. No daily cleaning in the rooms apart from removing the rubbish. The sink and toilets seemed like were not washed for months, lots of old stains. The owner was nice but the volunteer girl was a bit useless. There were only Indian tourists and the problem they are not respecting basic dorm rules despite it’s all written on the walls. People talking outside the dorms early morning/late night.

The dorms are incredibly spacious and clean. The French windows offer incredible views from the room. The bathrooms are huge and clean, the rooms get cleaned on a daily basis. The curtains on each bunk offer privacy to each person. Firefly offers a comfortable yet a super fun experience for every traveller.

The location of the property is very prime and the view from every room and cafeteria is very beautiful, The full valley is visible from all the rooms. Dorms are clean and specious and the bonus point is in the dorm also you get a balcony area to chill. The staff is very friendly and conducts group activities and day hiking trips The food is delicious and the rates are reasonable.

Rooms are very well made and the view from the room is amazing. Host Shubham made sure we had best of our time. Vibe of this hostel is amazing. Food from the cafe is also 10/10. Highlight of our stay was the 2 cats at the property.

This is my third time in Manali and from this time onwards, Firefly has become my home. Firefly team ensures that they not only offer comfortable stay but the beautiful memory of backpacker travels. Very well experienced hosts who are very considerate of everyone's wellness and comfort.

The place is designed to accommodate both group and solo travellers(both men and women).The property is accessible and has an amazing view of the mountains. It’s clean and well maintained. I also really liked the food at the hostel cafe. Highly recommended.

I booked this property after cancelling other's, was scared a bit as it was newly opened but i was lucky that i get to stay here. One of the most beautiful and best stay i can ever wish for. Shubham and Aman are great host, and this journey would be impossible without them. This property has an amazing view and surrounded with beautiful people. I had a wonderful time in Firefly hostel. It's located in the old village, in a peaceful area. The staff is really helpful and welcoming. They helped me to organize my stay and much more. We went hiking. The food at the hostel is very good. You can go there without any doubt, you will be received the best way possible. Much more than a place to stay, it felt like home <3

Firstly, visiting Manali was my last minute plan and also booking stay with Firefly as well! Being solo backpacker, I always look for hostel setups and like to stay at off beat places! Firefly hostel is situated in off beat old Manali and the view from the stay is just amazing! Hospitality you get from the property managers/workers here is next level. They personally took us to best off beat locations around the Manali.. Not to forget best food(quality/quantity) is served at the stay itself! Some amazing factor about managers : I had hand injury when I visited the place, Shubham/Aman(owners) took me to the hospital twice, helped me and checked on the me regularly! They also ensure, local culture is felt/lived/enjoyed (took me to some authentic food places as well). I have stayed at so many backpackers hostels however never had privilege to witness such a great hospitality from the owner :) I was very lucky and hands down the best stay one can look for in old Manali (specially for solo travelers)!

It's hard to leave the place.

The view from the property is amazing (Specially the common space they have on the top). Even the food in the cafe is great. They have 2 kittens at the property which will always kept me engaged. Also the quality of washroom they have is great.

Really like the vibe, host, spacious dorms and hygiene of overall property also, the connectivity this place holds is so warm and contented. Literally this place is in the heart of Old Manali, the 270 degree view that holds the Hampta Ranges, Lama Dugh, Jogini Falls & Manu Temple from their common space left me in awe :). Would highly recommend this place for a person like me who loves budget travelling/Workation and also like to have delicious & affordable food with a view. And if you are a pet lover like me, they have two cute little cats at property who will give you a lots of love :).

Urgh! The one thing that i really don’t like about this place is that, it’s a black hole; call it people or the place itself but it will pull you sooo deep into it, you would not like to leave at all. So whoever is coming, will suggest you to not come with plans :P
