Skylight Lodge - Private Terrace, Free Parking & Walk to City

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt in dem kleinen Häuschen. Das Bett war sehr bequem und man hätte bei Bedarf Zugang zu weiten Kissen und Decken gehabt. Jonas hat alles super durchdacht und man findet sich sofort zurecht. Netterweise durften wir bereits vor dem regulären Check in einziehen, da es am Vortag nicht gebucht war. Durch einen verregneten Tag haben wir das gerne angenommen. Für unsere Tochter gab es ein Kinderbett und viel Platz zum krabbeln, also auch super für Familien mit kleinen Kindern. Über die Kaffeeauswahl und das Eis im Tiefkühler haben wir uns gefreut. Definitiv eine Empfehlung, man erreicht Aarhus schnell und in der Wohnung gibt es viele Flyer und einen Reiseführer falls man weitere Reiseinspiration benötigt. Von Haus aus kann man wunderbar spazieren gehen.

Our stay was excellent from start to finish. The house had everything we needed and was equipped to a very high standard. The room was bright and comfortable, creating a pleasant atmosphere throughout our visit. The host was extremely kind and helpful, offering maps and useful tips for exploring the area. A delightful surprise in the fridge upon arrival was a particularly thoughtful gesture that made us feel very welcome.

Highly recommended!!! The house is very clean, cozy, well facilitated, excellent location to all directions. The host is super kind and social, like an old friend who you didn't see for a long time, and he also provided a lot of useful information of sightseeing points and discounts, helped us to save money! A lot of choices of pillows and blankets, really thoughtful!

Nothing. Will be greater if there is a wash machine... hahaha. (there is a laundry shop in the town ;) )

Pour améliorer le logement il faudrait installer un rideau sur la porte d'entrée car si quelqu'un dort dans le salon il a beaucoup de lumière très tôt en été.

Für uns war es der perfekte Ort zur perfekten Zeit (und von Horsens hatten wir vorher noch gar nichts gehört). Herausragend war die unaufdringliche, unkomplizierte Gastfreundschaft von Jonas und seiner Familie. Das begann schon mit dem Kontakt vor der Anreise, dem Empfang (inklusive einer kleinen Überraschung im Kühlschrank) und wir wurden die ganze Zeit wunderbar betreut. Und wir wurden auch verwöhnt mit Pancake, frischen Erdbeeren, Kartoffeln, Kirschen, Bier und ganz vielen Tipps. Und ansprechbar war Jonas die gesamte Zeit. Die Unterkunft liegt eher am Rand der Stadt, aber ganz nah zum Stadtzentrum, den Museen (Kunstmuseum, Industriemuseum, ein wirklich großartiges Gefängnismuseum)... auch zu den Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (zwei Supermärkte fußläufig). Perfekt war Horsens aber auch, weil man von der Unterkunft direkt Wandern, Laufen und Radfahren konnte (unser Tipp - unbedingt mit dem Rad und der Fähre nach Hjarnö und mit dem Rad den Horsensfjord umfahren mit zweifacher Fährfahrt nach Hjarnö und Alrö). Aber unbedingt die kleine Fahrradfähre vorher vorbestellen!!! Und nach Aarhus waren es gerade einmal 35 Minuten mit dem Auto.

Στο κατάλυμα μας άρεσε που το δωμάτιο ήταν φωτεινό. Το σπίτι ήταν πλήρως τεχνολογικά εξοπλισμένο και είχε πολύ όμορφη βεράντα. Ο οικοδεσπότης ήταν πάρα πολύ καλός. Είχε χάρτες που σε καθοδηγούσαν στην πόλη καθώς και προτάσεις για εξορμήσεις. Μας έφτιαξε απίστευτα γλυκά και είχαμε διαθέσιμο ένα ποτό.

Værterne var søde imødekommende, svarede hurtigt pp beskeder, lækkert med nybagt kage da vi kom, skønt med gratia starbucks kaffe og papir med fin beskrivelse af sted og faciliteter. Hyggeligt, og god atmosfære, føles som af være ude at rejse et eksotisk sted med blomster og planter over det hele.

Var lidt svært at med parkering, lige da vi kom, men det lykkedes

Everything was fine: plenty of space, cozy, and welcoming hosts. It was quite dark at night (many places like to hang white curtains and make it as bright as day).

There was no washing machine, but it wasn't on the list of amenities.

The host was incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful. I contacted him many times with questions related to the accommodation, and he was always very patient and responsive. There were four of us staying at the property, and the living environment was very comfortable and clean. We had a wonderful time during our stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Horsens!

It was ideal for us, clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. The host was friendly and helpful. We liked that we could park on the quiet road outside the property. We would stay there again.

Wir waren super zufrieden mit unserem Aufenthalt in der Skylight Lodge. Das ist eine wirklich sehr schnuckelige, helle und gut ausgestattete Unterkunft in einer ruhigen Umgebung. Der Weg in die Stadt ist jedoch sehr kurz und fußläufig zu erreichen, ein schöner Strand ca 30min mit dem Auto entfernt. Der Vermieter hat uns persönlich begrüßt mit einer lieben Überraschung und vielen Tipps, was man unternehmen kann in der Nähe. Wir würden jederzeit wieder hinfahren.

Absolutely everything! This place is amazing!

Super flink vært. Mødte ham tilfældigvis ved ankomst, da han var på vej til møde. Han udskød egne planer for at byde mig velkommen og vise mig til rette. Rigtig god og nem kommunikation med værten, der var meget informativ. Stedet er superhyggeligt, og ligger uforstyrret, selv om det er omgivet af boliger.

Wir haben uns in dem umfangreich ausgestatteten Häuschen in ruhiger Lage sehr wohl gefühlt. Der im Nachbarhaus wohnende Gastgeber hat uns persönlich willkommen geheißen und in die Haustechnik eingewiesen. Zudem gab es wertvolle Tipps zu Sehenswürdigkeiten, das Stadtzentrum kann auch zu Fuß erreicht werden.

Hyggeligt og personligt. Skønt sted, nemt at finde. Roligt kvarter og beliggende ved udlejers hus. Centralt til alting. Endnu engang en fantastisk velkomst. Denne gang med hjemmelavet brownie, en cocio og en øl. Super personligt og man føler sig meget velkommen. Fantastisk vært.

Jonas, the host, picked me up from the train station and gave me a tour to the lodge, explaining me how things worked, how to get to different places and also for sightseeing. The area is very quiet and has an amazing view. There is a supermarket within a short distance. There was also a treat waiting for me at the lodge!

Everything was quite perfect. I didn't get to enjoy all the perks of the lodge, since I was quite busy with work.

Everything was absolutely perfect….from cleanliness to the provision of everything needed for an independent stay. Especially appreciated was the sparkling wine left as a welcome and the smart tv with Netflix (something we don’t have at home!)

Lækkert hus hvor der er plads til en lille familie. Fint køkken med alt hvad man skal bruge. Værten havde sørget for 2 kolde øl. Badeværelset havde håndklæder, shower gel og shampoo. Lækre dyner med sengebetræk.

Wonderful place and wonderful host. One could not ask for more. Very nicely decorated and extremely well equipped apartment in a beautiful and very quiet location. Ideal to explore all parts of Jutland and beyond.

Everything was super great! From beginning until the day of departure. The apartment was super tidy, spacious and very high-tech; especially regarding the windows and aircon. We had everything we needed as a family of three. They had board games and games for kids available. The host greeted us with ice cream, which made our little girl's day. :) All in all, we recommend this apartment for everyone, couples or families.

There is nothing to complain.

Loved the electic blinds. The kitchen was well equipped but very small. Free coffee pods were a nice touch, as was the welcoming cake. Lovely garden and flowers etc. Our stay was not helped by the fact that it was a holiday weekend andcon the Whit Monday the Danish King was in the town, so were roads were closed to cars.

Could not get the TV to work as the sound was very low, and it appeared to be set, and it was not possible to turn it up.. The bathroom was too far from the bedroom. While parking on the road would not be a problem for most. Because of our mobility difficulties, it was for us, particularly as it rainned every day.. Wheelchair users would find the metal grid by the main door a problem. Too many unnecessary, silly rules stuck everywhere. No shoes to be worn indoors, shut the gate, and dont park in the garage space etc. These small things were irritants.

The apartment is well equipped and very comfortable. The host is extremely kind, supportive, and available. We enjoyed a relaxing night with Netflix watching and a comfortable bed. I highly recommend them for a longer stay as well. There are nice beaches around.

Jonas was equally amazing—super informative, highly responsive, and dedicated to meeting our needs. This wasn’t just a standard, impersonal overnight stay. It felt like a warm, inviting home, filled with thoughtful, high-quality details. We felt safe, respected, and thoroughly comfortable throughout. The central city of Horsens was just a short distance away, making it easy for me to attend to my clients and then return to this wonderfully facilitated space. The bed, pillow, and duvet were fantastic, providing a restful sleep. The cozy living room, with its perfect lighting, was an ideal place to unwind. The homemade cookies were a delightful touch, and the bathroom—with its high-quality shampoo and conditioner—felt like a mini spa experience. The kitchen was fully equipped for preparing a home-cooked meal, which was a big plus for me. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique, warm, and well-thought-out accommodation experience.

The bathroom was initially a bit chilly, but after contacting Jonas, he promptly provided a helpful tip to warm it up, ensuring our comfort.
