Pohang Youngildae Guesthouse

The staff was wonderful. They were kind enough to let us store our bags before check-in time. Any questions we had, they were quick to answer throught the message portal. The private room was decorated very aesthetically, and the beds were very comfy! The breakfast was nice too. It included an egg, salad, and I'm pretty sure a banana pancake! :P

Good and cosy place

Location is centralised between center and beach. Close to market , host very welcoming and friendly. Great breakfast, light and fresh - perfect for starting the day.

Tisch und somit Ablagemöglichkeit im Zimmer. Aufenthaltsraum, Küchenzeile mit Wasserkocher und Mikrowelle (allerdings kein Besteck, Schüsseln od. Herd, nur Tassen und wenige Teller). Bushaltestellen in der Nähe.

Die Lage an der Straße und dass man die ganze Zeit ein beständiges Brummen mit gelegentlicher Vibration von irgendeinem Gerät (draußen?) hört, was nachts zum Schlafen sehr unangenehm war. Das Zimmer war (und blieb) sehr kalt, Wasser in der Dusche nur lauwarm. Die Vorhänge lassen sich nicht ganz schließen. Die Kosten für die Waschmaschinennutzung (doppelt so hoch wie im Waschsalon). Nach einer Nacht bin ich bereits abgereist.

The property is great. They provide towels, toothpaste, soap, shower gel, conditioner, and shampoo. The beds are big and comfy. Everything is clean. The location is central and close to most things.

They should be providing breakfast, but that didn’t happen. Maybe because it wasn’t a season and i was the only person in the room. The location is nearby the beach, but it doesn’t have a beach view. The beds don’t have curtains for privacy . The shared room doesn’t have a secure place/cabinet to put my luggage and personal items.

The owner is very kind! It is easy to get around with the buses nearby. The place is well maintained and clean. The breakfast is excellent!

Host was very accommodating. Very flexible with my check in/out times and cooked an amazing breakfast!

A comfortable guesthouse with plenty of space and room to relax. For me, a great location as it is near all the main bus routes to central, north and south Pohang.

L’hôte est très gentil et disponible, il répond généralement très rapidement aux demandes sur l’application Booking. La chambre était mignonne, propre et le lit super confortable. Il y a une petite cuisine commune avec beaucoup d’équipements pratiques. Il faut marcher un peu pour atteindre la plage mais ce n’est vraiment pas long. Un convenient store juste en face, des restos, un super petit café et une pâtisserie spécialisée en macarons dans la rue.

il y a 8 personnes qui peuvent dormir, heureusement que j étais seule. Dès que je bouge, du bruit..Donne sur un grand carrefour, pas du tout calme je crois que j ai dormi un peine 4h et que le lendemain j ai du prendre un hotel pour le reste de mon séjour. Je pensais être comme dans une cage à poule la chambre est trop petite pour mettre 8 personnes, Odeur dans la chambre pas agréable.

L'emplacement avec l'arrêt de bus à 100m et le CU en face! Matelas confortable! La personne qui m'a reçu était très sympa et m'a laissé rentrer dans ma chambre avant l'heure du check-in!

Pas de petit-déjeuner, la guesthouse se trouve au-dessus d'un café où soit disant il y a un petit déjeuner à partir de 9h30, j'y suis allée vers 10h aucune possibilité de prendre quoique se soit...les poubelles sont sur le palier!! Et il n'y a qu'un toilette/ douche pour tout un étage, sa peut être problématique s'il y a du monde...aussi il n'y a pas de couverts dans la cuisine commune juste 4 tasses!

The staff was not very helpful regarding cooking. Although they mentioned that a stove and other facilities were available, none were actually provided. Additionally, there was no parking space at the guesthouse.

The accommodation was well equipped. The bathroom had shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, a hair dryer, and towels. The man at the reception was very kind and helped us with transportation information. The location was great – close to the main fish market.

The location was great and communication from the team really good.inhaf a small problem with the WiFi but thanks to their fast reply, It was fixed in no time at all. The bed was also very comfortable, with good quality bedding. Highly recommended

Ruhige aber sehr zentrale Lage, früherer Self Check in möglich, auch die allgemeinen Räume sehr gepflegt, Zimmer groß genug für 2 Nächte, wir waren zu dritt, Bad typisch koreanisch, im Haus 2 Klaviere, schöne Keramikfliesen, der host bereitete am Morgen Pancakes und Ei und grünem Salat frisch selber zu, dazu Kaffee- ein perfekter Start in den Tag. Der host sehr freundlich.

Very comfortable stay. Good location 10 minutes from the big fish and general market and a lively beach. Breakfast (9.30-10am) was pancake, poached egg and salad.

There wasn't breakfast in the guesthouse per se. The location was a good one though, so I could just pop by and get food from outside. The location was a good one.

The kitchen wasn't equipped for cooking. It just had access to clean drinking water at the most.

Everything. I did not like the place. It was not comfortable at all. The place was so small. I could have gotten a better place in a regular hotel closer to the Spacewalk and cheaper. There was NO Parking lot, it was a side street park. I did not have a good travel this time. Please read and even check in the map before you get duped to this kind of place. No bath towels and everything is just a bunch of gym towels. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL! Beware with this place.

The host was very kind, welcoming, and helpful with information about Pohang. He made sure our stay was comfortable. Our room was very clean & cozy. Breakfast was sufficient.

I felt from the minute I put my foot into the Guesthouse welcomed. It was clean, had everything you needed and the Breakfast in the morning was really good. The Hosts are really friendly and nice.

Lack of real curtains in bedroom meant we were woken up at about 6am, and couldn’t get back to sleep as the room was so bright.

listed in the accommodation profile, there was no kitchen. No bedsidelight., or divider curtain which personally I think is a must especially since it is not an expensive item to have in your Hostel. I had to ask for the Wi-Fi and there were no garbage receptacles in the living area There was a lot of street noise and the mattresses were not comfortable.

The room was spacious and very clean as well as the shared areas. The rooftop is a special highlight and a great place to relax in the evening.

Very clean, the host let me to change the dates of the stay twice. I appreciate it. The host couldn’t serve the breakfast. So she prepared some cookies and fruits which was very kind of her.

It was a bit cold but okay. All buildings are a bit cold in Korea, I guess. The water in shower was not hot enough. But maybe it because I did something wrong. I don’t mind to use cool water. But it can be important for other people.

Unfortunately, there were tissues under the bed and there was a mess, it was not tidy. For the price in South Korea you get much better accommodation

The location was great, with a lot of CVS and other shops near, as well as bus stations. The staff were very kind and the place was comfy and clean.

I wouldn't mind getting some more information about the facility like where to find something, what is availabe to use etc.

This was extremely clean and the people here were amazing. Location was perfect and within walking distance of attractions around. If not the bus stop was very close. Shampoo, soap and toothpaste provided. Restaurant and beer available on premises. Clean towels everyday. The breakfast here was amazing. Pancake plate with other things on it. Very tasty. Definitely one of the better places I’ve stayed.

Girls dorm with shower and toilet. I didn’t appreciate the men using it but the info on the door says MEN AND WOMEN. Outside the doors that separates the women’s dorm and men’s there is a shower that says women. The signs on the doors need to be reversed to stop the confusion.

Cleanliness - the room and toilet was clean. Comfort - the bed was comfortable.

Staff - I had some difficulty checking in because it seems like the check-in area is at the cafe in the building but I didn't see anyone there. Waited a few minutes while I checked if I was at the right place before a staff happened to come out of the building. Facilities - the toilet was running out of body wash. Comfort - the beds and charging ports are placed in such a way that if you sleep in the natural direction, it can end up with you sleeping with someone's feet near you (even though it's separated by the bed rails but still...)

This guesthouse is run by an absolutely lovely pair! Very sweet, welcoming environment with a comfy lounge space as long as it's not too busy. We were treated to a wonderful homemade breakfast as well! Pancakes, fruit and salad with homemade yoghurt and mango jam - brilliant!

The beds are about as comfortable as you'd expect them to be, but for the price that's a perfectly reasonable thing. The location is good and very close to the beach, but the road noise outside was quite loud.

The common area with the common kitchen was very good, you can sit and talk with other travelers. The staff was friendly. I like that they have a rooftop with a pretty decent view.

There was only one restroom with the shower on the floor, it wasn't enough and it wasn't very comfortable. There was a convenience store across the street, it was good, but other then that there was nothing around.

easy to find, no check-in

I saw a huge cockroach in the common room/kitchen.

The staff was really nice and can speak English which is so impressed. She also offered us a wonderful ever breakfast! The pancake with handmade mango sauce is the best. Everyone who has a chance to stay there should try. The location is also really good, just right next to the convenience store and 1km from the beach.

Nothing we didn’t like maybe the room that is small? But it’s understandable.

The location was wonderful, and the staff was so friendly and nice. The lounge was nice and relaxing.

Breakfast at an earlier time. :-)
