Nice B&B lovely room lovely decor well stocked with goodies and tea and coffee. Bathroom Modern and Spotless. Quite had a great night sleep.

Location ok. local Bar but didn't serve food. Menus left in room for the local bar but it's limited to certain days which I didn't pick up on. Didn't realise until I came back there was another bar further on. Some interaction with host would have been good. Check in is designed for no interaction with host. Do your homework on the area.

L'hôte est exceptionnellement sympathique. La maison est ravissante et la chambre est bien équipée.

Il semblait y avoir plusieurs autres locataires et certains étaient bruyants à l'heure du coucher avec un enfant qui pleurait.

Comfortable, clean and convenient. Had a really lovely chat with our host who was full of local recommendations and knowledge so tap into that if you’re spending time in the area! NB: the bathroom is shared between a few rooms; not at all an issue for us (and most people cleared off quickly for early flights etc) but if you are someone who enjoys spending an hour in the bathroom you may end up creating a queue!

The communication with the host was amazing. Even though we have arrive unexpectedly late we were supported by the host. The room is just enough for the short stay but is relatively small. The bathroom is spacious and remains clean even though it is shared.

We had a very spacious room with very comfortable beds. Hosts very welcoming and friendly, giving us advice for things to do. My son really enjoyed petting the friendly dog. A short trip to Dublin airport. Very good price.

Is was quite noisy at night, we could hear the people in the room above us talking and walking around, earplugs are useful.

Distance to the airport, very friendly owner, room was very nice.

There was just a shared bathroom. It was not announced and it was quite uncomfortable. But it was not the worst thing. We were in the room no. 1 (family room). The ceiling of the room is absolutely non-soundproof,so we listened to heavy hits of things and heavy stomping not only to 1 AM but also from half past six AM too. Really not good sleep.

Warm welcome, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Good location. Mary gave us great recommendations for dinner and local places to visit.

Was quite hard to find. The directions when coming from the East meant we took a while to find it and drove straight past at first, having also already driven into another house with a pink door!

The bed was the most comfortable bed I ever slept in! There was snacks in the room on arrival with water and tea/coffee facilities. We called the host to advise we wouldn’t be able to check in until midnight the host was so accommodating and left the keys in a lock box. Spoke to the host the next morning who was very helpful about where to visit locally. We stayed here after being at a concert in slane castle and it was only a few kilometres away would highly recommend.

Bathroom outside room but very clean and easy to access

Mary and Val were the perfect hosts and certainly Val went out of his way to ensure my stay was most enjoyable - he is extremely knowledgeable about historical and cultural aspects of the region and also knows of some great pubs in the local area ! I would definitely stay at Acrewood again and hopefully in the not too distant future.

Lovely hosts, clean property and easy to locate !!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely property. The house is beautifully designed, exceptionally clean, and very comfortable throughout. Mary was an outstanding host friendly and incredibly helpful. She provided excellent recommendations and shared great insights about the local area and must-see sights. She provided us with tea, coffee, fresh fruit, and biscuits. The shared bathroom was spacious and impeccably clean. I would highly recommend staying here.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Sauberes Zimmer Mit Fruchtschale, Wasser, Wasserkocher ,Tee-+Kaffeebeutel, Tassen vorhanden .Direkt vor dem Haus parken. Vermieterin hat tolle Tipps, was man in der Umgebung machen kann. Pub und kleiner Laden ein paar Minuten zu Fuss entfernt. Flughafen Dublin nicht weit entfernt.

Lovely hosts that do take care of guests. Also a fantastic location, a midpoint between Dublin and Belfast that serves as a perfect getaway to explore the inner country.

This was our second stay at Acrewood House, and once again it was absolutely wonderful. Val and Mary are exceptional hosts who go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcome and comfortable. During this visit, Val took the time to share fascinating insights into local Irish history, particularly the significance of St. Patrick’s Well (King Cormac’s Well) and The Well of Newnagh (Tobar Niamhrach). Hearing about the history, folklore, and cultural importance of these sites added a special dimension to our stay and gave us a deeper appreciation for the rich heritage of the area. It is clear that Val has a genuine passion for preserving and sharing these stories, which made our experience even more memorable. Mary and Val were also incredibly accommodating by allowing us an extended checkout time so that my fiancée could comfortably get ready for her big day. This thoughtful gesture removed so much stress from what was already a very important and exciting occasion, and we are extremely grateful for their kindness and understanding. Acrewood House continues to provide not only excellent accommodation but also genuine hospitality that makes guests feel like family. We cannot thank Mary and Val enough for their warmth, generosity, and attention to detail. We highly recommend Acrewood House and look forward to returning again in the future.

Wonderful and hospitable hosts. Atmosphere, furniture. If you want to experience the Irish atmosphere, you should definitely stay in this wonderful house. I definitely recommend it. And I will definitely come back here if the opportunity arises.

Charming house, excellent location and friendly hostesses, who were always ready to help and assist.

When there are other people accommodated as well, there would be need for another toilet and shower. A small table for minor dining would be needed and appreciated or even better, a separate dining room.

Siamo stati svegliati nel mezzo della notte da quelli che stavano sopra di noi, probabilmente tornati dopo la serata al pub, solo che erano molto rumorosi e fastidiosi.

Continental Breakfast was advertised which I was led to believe would be available but when I presented for Breakfast was told by the host no Breakfast- I could have tea and coffee in my room!Now as a complete stranger to the location on a Sunday morning out in “the middle of nowhere” in the countryside can you imagine how I felt! If Its only Bed that’s being offered that should be made very clear on the site

No signage was visible re the guest house location My sat nav took me to the wrong house by 2 When I finally located the residence I saw a small little sign saying Acrewooda house which was practically covered by greenery I did mention this to Val and he said a sign was in process of being procured.Another thing the idea of a shared Bathroom does not appeal to me meeting other guests first thing in the morning coming from the bathroom.

Perfect setup for our family of five. We rented two rooms. All rooms share a bathroom. Mary and Val were fantastic! They were so helpful and even knew to suggest we go up to Fox's Pub because Wednesday night is trad music night! It was great!

We had a problem getting the radiator to work and it took a few tries but Val and Mary kept on working with us until we had it nice and toasty!

A bit difficult to identify initially. A bit difficult to pull out onto a busy roadway.

Wonderfully decorated and taken care of. Very clean, beds and linens very comfortable and soft, spacious bathroom and good hot water once it’s running. Daily fresh towels and basket of fruit and snacks was a really thoughtful touch. We were attending a wedding at Ballamagarvey Village and this place was a 10 minute ride away, which is a relief after a whole day of festivities. We were always rushing out but on the occasion that we caught the host (apologies, name slipped), he was so kind and friendly!

Mary estuvo pendiente en todo momento de nuestro confort. No hubo problema en que nuestro check-in fuera tarde de madrugada. Además, nos dejaron una cestita preparada en la habitación con desayuno ya que nuestro check-out era antes de la hora de desayuno. Un encanto y una casa chulísima. Sin duda una ubicación muy conveniente si necesitas estar cerca del aeropuerto (30 mins en coche)

lo unico que podria decir es que no habia opcion de delivery food mas tarde de las 20:30 ya que es una ubicacion un poco remota.

Breakfast was basic - would Jane like choice of porridge or cooked breakfast

Continental breakfast was fine…we knew it would be. We were there for a wedding and if there had been a choice we would have preferred a cooked breakfast. But this isn’t a criticism..just a suggestion. I would have liked a box of tissues in the bedroom as I hadn’t bought any tissues with me. Bathroom was great and shower was excellent. Key arrangements worked great for us. Book of information was excellent. Taxi services were excellent. Really appreciated help given when we arrived and realised we were in a rural area without a car!!

The accommodation was really good. The beds were comfortable, and our twin room was perfectly fine and very clean. Although the washroom was shared, it was spacious, spotless, and the shower was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful — especially Mary and another staff member who explained everything about nearby tourist places. The overall service was exceptional. They were kind enough to warm our food and even helped us pack what we carried. The overall service was exceptional, and we truly felt at home.

The location was a little far from Dublin airport 35min, and the breakfast had limited options. However, the available continental breakfast, including bread, toast, tea, and coffee, was fresh and good.
