Riad Amethyste

Host was very friendly went out of his way to help, big riad, clean, near by shops, breakfast included

no aircon in MY room (however some of the other rooms had aircon)

Prawdziwa ostoja pośrodku niesamowicie głośnej i ruchliwej Mediny.

Check in rapido e personale molto disponibile.

Riad was huge and beautiful.

doesn't have a name plaque and when u arrive first can get confusing where to go

Great location and lovely host.

The size with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was great for 3 people. Hafid came each morning, at the time we designated, cooked and served us a delicious breakfast and cleaned up before leaving. He was extremely helpful with advice about the medina, where to go and what to do while we were there. He was a real jewel to our whole experience!

It was cold while we were there (December) and the heaters in the bedrooms were not all working.

wonderful place, here we found ourselves in a real Moroccan house, quiet and cozy, and Hafid is a very kind , he greeted us with a smile, told us many things, always ready to help. in the morning you open your eyes, and he has already prepared a wonderful breakfast. Wonderful place and location. Thank you Hafid!

The location is great and the Riad was spectacular. Had the best time here. Also the host was very nice and helpful. We recommend having the breakfast there, so delicious.

We stayed at this lovely Riad for four days, and it was a wonderful experience. Hafid, was very welcoming and made us feel right at home. He prepared breakfast for us which was delicious! The Riad itself is beautiful and full of character — it was built in 1903, so it’s not new, but that’s part of its charm. It has three bedrooms (not four as mentioned in the listing), which was perfectly fine for us. The location is ideal, within walking distance to the souks and situated right in the old city. The rooftop is especially picturesque — a perfect spot to relax. Overall, it’s a charming, authentic place to stay if you want a true Moroccan experience.

Very tranquil inside and spacious. A great escape from the Medina. The host was fabulous and very informative.

Riad Amethyste is something special. It is an absolutely gorgeous riad that you have all to yourself and travel companions - so you get the best of both worlds - a riad and a self-catering home. Stunning inner leafy courtyard, comfortable beds, good kitchen, super safe location, okay wifi, and a fantastic wrap around rooftop terrace. Small shops are very nearby to buy practical supplies (fruit, veg, yogurt) as well as several cafes, coffee stands, and restaurants. In a good location near Bab Doukala, it is about a 20-25 minute walk through the souks to Jemaa El Fna - and much closer to the Secret Garden and Ben Youssef Madrasa. Hafid, the manager, is very helpful and very kind. I would very happily stay here again! And after staying in multiple riads in multiple Moroccan cities/towns over the past 15 days, I would highly recommend this very special riad.

The breakfast was fairly minimal and basically just pastries, so expect more of a continental breakfast or petit dejeuner - not a very robust and healthy breakfast. But there are plenty of shops, cafes, and restaurants in the area that can help you top up as needed - you will not go hungry in Morocco. The wifi worked well in the lounge, but not as well in the bedrooms - which was a welcome opportunity to unplug when I crawled into bed.

Great amenities, private spaces for the guests with spacious communal areas to gather. Well located to the main square, with locked security gate before main entrance. Was a short walk to all the locations we wanted to go. We had our original shared riad state our booking was not valid and had to scramble to find other accommodations. When planning the trip we never looked into private Riads. But after staying at Amethyste, we wouldn’t do anything else on our future trips. Having a private space with a local who helps connect you to everything you need or want to do is invaluable. In regards to this stay, we reached out the day before our needed checkin. We quickly got a response confirming availability. Then we had Hafid who manages Amethyste reach out directly over WhatsApp to see what we needed help with. He graciously picked us up from our temporary accommodations and helped with the luggage. He showed us around the beautiful property and got us settled. Over the course of our stay Hafid checked in and even scheduled our private transport to the airport for us. Overall we could not be happier to stumble across this gem in Marrakech. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Not applicable, it was everything and more than described

Riad was stunning with loads of original features, roof terrace was a sun trap, freshly squeezed oranges from the tree and the host was a lovely bloke who made us feel welcome. Everything we needed was in walking distance would definitely stay again! Thanks for an amazing stay!

Privacy and authentic

The location was in a very hectic street with lots of bbq and grill smoke from the neighbours

The Palace was amazing! Beautiful and the location was excellent! Hafid was the best host ever! Thanks!
