Extremely warm welcome and clean comfortable stay! Breakfast was delicious, plentiful and beautifully presented. Homemade scones were the best we’ve ever had! Just a short drive from Kilkenny in the peaceful countryside. Highly recommend this superb B&B!!!

The B&B is stunning, our bedroom and en-suite were really spacious. Jimmy and Mairead are fantastic friendly hosts and really went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The breakfast was a real highlight! Thanks so much!

Die Gastgeber sind äußerst zuvorkommend und bemüht. Die Lodge ist sehr schön allerdings in die Jahre gekommen. Als wir dort waren war es gerade sehr warm, es gibt da leider keine Klimaanlage und die Fenster sind ohne Fliegengitter. Persönlich ist das Badezimmer auch nicht meins. Die üblichen zwei Hahn Waschbecken wie auch die Dusche sind schon Recht gewöhnungsbedürftig aber funktionieren. Das bei dem Preis das Frühstück nochmal extra hinzukommt, finde ich überzogen. Aber für zwei Tage war's OK.

Hele fijne kamer met een fijne host. Lekker ontbijt. Lokatie is goed aangegeven en is ook makkelijk te vinden Het is lekker rustig en parkeren was makkelijk. Lokatie is 10' rijden naar Killenny. Ik vond dit echt perfect. Mushroom & Rocky (katten) waren ook lief. (Ze kwamen niet op de gast accomodaties).

Everything! It really couldn’t have been better. The house is beautiful, rooms are spacious, comfortable and well equipped and the breakfasts were excellent. The hosts were extremely welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. Nothing was too much trouble and the attention to detail was fantastic.

Wonderful stay at this property. Spacious comfortable rooms, in a country atmosphere. It cooled down at night so the heat of the day was bearable. Outstanding breakfast each day. Freshly cut fruit cup with yogurt, and still warm home-made pastries to start. Followed by a full cooked breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, etc. Even blood pudding, if you like. The hosts, Mairead and Jimmy, are a delight. You would be hard -pressed to find better lodging in/around Kilkenny.

Hard to find any negatives. The bed was comfy, but the pillows could use an upgrade.

The house, the rooms...everything was very lovingly, homely, and stylishly furnished and coordinated; we've traveled a lot, but here we felt at home from the very beginning. Alles was tiptop in orde. Prachtig huis met heel veel mooie dingen, warme gastvrouw- en heer die er voor zorgden dat alle gasten een fijn verblijf hadden. Geweldig ontbijt, nog nooit zulke lekkere porrigde gegeten. Alles schoon en gastvrij. Ruime kamer en heerlijk matras. Goed sanitair.

We chose Newlands Lodge because it was out of town, but just a short drive away. You will need a car if you stay here. Our host was wonderful, offering ideas on where to eat and activities. Our room was large and spotlessly clean. We felt very welcomed here.

The bedroom was massive, beds were comfortable, Breakfast was outstanding! I lost my brand new earring down the back of the sink UBEND which they have said they will get a plumber to get it for me the next time they have a plumber around ! The Irish Dental Association hold their yearly conference here every year in Kilkenny so I will be telling more colleagues about this house.

The welcome was very warm and kind. She showed us a room where we could have a drink whenever we wanted and with nice Easter eggs. The room was very spacious and very clean, not to mention the excellent bedding where once under the comforter you didn't want to move. The bathroom with shower was perfect and bright and very clean with different elements for comfort. The breakfast was very copious and with fresh products. Honestly I can't think of a single negative point. Our host gave us information for visits in the area and explanations on different sites to visit.
