Perfect for us and the dogs 🐕🐕
Perfect location and had everything that we needed, along with some extras, easy check in.
Nothing
Cosy little cabin, with everything we needed for a short stay before getting the ferry from Rosslare.
There was a security light which was on all night and although the blinds/curtains blocked out the majority of the light, the door is frosted glass so let light in.
Secluded but close to Kilmore Quay. Lovely scones, butter and jam/marmalade and some milk was a welcome treat. Very well equipped, even a selection of shower gels.
There were some thoughtful touches by the owners such as welcome scones and a bag for shopping, they are definitely trying to provide and for those who fancy a glamp, it was fine.
Unfortunately during our three night stay it was noisy and we needed a peaceful stay. Others might not mind this but there was loud music from the house the first night when we were trying to sleep and regularly from the car across the road. The children playing and shouting was fun for them but didn't work for us. There was a security light shining directly at the window which also affected our sleep. The location wasn't great. It is halfway between kilmore and kilmore quay and maybe you could spend a few hours on the beach at the quay but that's it. There doesn't seem to be much else around so better to go to the next peninsula over, the hook which was stunning. Because it was self catering we had planned to buy groceries locally but there is only a tiny spar so do your shopping before you arrive. There is a supermarket in Wellingtonbridge.
Lovely quiet area. Lodge is very well equipped and the owner left scones, butter, jam and marmalade as well as milk which was really appreciated.
The Lodge was perfect. Very clean and comfortable. Very easy instructions to enter etc. I enjoyed my stay. Thank you.
Location was perfect for what we were doing, the lodge was so comfortable and welcoming,
Could not fault our stay, fresh scones, jam, perfect 😊
Rustig gelegen, zeer proper en alle comfort aanwezig
Attention to detail Cosy Lots of kitchen equipment Book & games
Nothing
Beautiful accommodation, clean and well equipped. Home made scones and other provisions left out for us, which was a really nice personal touch
Leaving!
The property owners are very thoughtful with a basket of scones and jams to welcome you and much beyond all essential amenities are provided. The shower pressure and temperature are excellent. The cozy electric fireplace not only heats the cabin but also contributed to the home away from home feel and we loved the board games available there The check-in is very flexible and handy. I highly recommend the stay.
Everything was on point, it is just not a 10 for the towels and bedsheet available. They could be a bit more new and also adding a bedsheet below the duvet would be great for extra comfort.
Kilmore Quay is only a few minutes drive away and has good beaches, a small supermarket and a few bars/eateries. The lodge is well equipped for a small space and has lots of thoughtful extras, including home made scones and milk in the fridge. The small courtyard is secure which was useful for our dog. 30 minute drive to Rosslare Port.
No complaints about accommodation itself. 30 minute walk to town and beach on busy small roads with fast traffic. Nowhere to walk dog off road in immediate vicinity. Not much open on a Monday evening in town and supermarket sparsely stocked after a hot day with lots of people on the beach and lots of traffic. Surprisingly noisy in the evening with loud bangs nearby scaring the dog but I am guessing this was probably a one-off!
Such an amazing stay. The scones on arrival were a lovely touch. A perfect accommodation for pets. Our dog absolutely loved it there. Close to the lovely kilmore quay and Mary Barry's restaurant which was also amazing. Would definitely visit again.
Great place to stay near rosslaire. It was ideal for us. It had everything you could possibly need . We could bring our dog which was amazing.
Perfect little lodge in a great location.
It was perfect. We arrived at 10pm after a long ferry journey to find a cosy, well-appointed apartment and a beautifully presented basket of scones, butter and jam waiting for us. It was such a thoughtful touch after a long day of travel. We truly appreciated everything — thank you.
Nothing
Very cozy room with your own entrance which is great when you arrive late and you don't want to disturb the owners. The decoration gives cozy cottage in the woods vibes with all kitchen supplies you might need. They also added a basket with scones, butter and jam which is a lovely surprise. Couldn't recommend more!
The mattress is a bit uncomfortable but not enough to lower the rating (especially if you don't really care about the mattress that much).
Everything was fantastic! The lovely basket of scones and jam waiting for us was such a beautiful touch and lovely. It was so beautiful and welcoming property! Everything has been so well thought out, the lovely fire was great after a day exploring! We can’t wait to stay again! Cant recommend this place enough. We wish we had stayed longer!
It was such a lovely place to stay. You cannot fault it.
Wish we could have stayed longer but we were between ferries on our way from the UK to Spain. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our two-night stay; Lavendar Lodge is comfortable, convenient and perfect for going into nearby Kilmore Quay with its lovely beaches. We didn't get to meet the host as we arrived late and left early, but everything went smoothly and we would book again. Lovely touch with the homemade marmalade, butter and buns :-)
Nothing.
Self check in , nice rural location, within easy reach of Rosslare Europort, fantastic welcome basket evenn though we were only there for one night. Dog friendly and the dog was not just an after thought by the host. The host responded promptly when we advised her that we would be leaving early for ferry check-in with a positive response.
Nothing negative.
Close to beaches and Mary Barry’s restaurant, dog friendly
Its a lovely space and fitted out perfectly for our needs. Lots of lovely little touches and very thoughtful items from the owner , (like the milk, scones and jam 😀)
As the cabin heated up it began to smell of dog, it was quiet strong and distracted from our stay.
Beautiful cabin, super welcoming
Nothing
Very warm and homely great effort put in,I will definitely be returning to Lavender Lodge for a touch of country class.
All the small details, were amazing the welcome basket with scones and jams was delicious and the range of products in the bathroom was fantastic.
Nothing.
A lovely little place…super comfortable and quiet. Unfortunately had very little time to enjoy it to the full, but it was a real little haven at the end of the Day. Delicious scones, jam and tea/ coffee provided were a real treat.
Lorsque je suis arrivé devant le bungalow, j'ai fait demi tour et suis allé chercher autre chose.... Les photos sont trompeuses.
Very helpful host, delightful accommodation and delicious welcome basket. Will definitely stay there again. Couldn't thsnk the host enough.
Fresh scones on arrival was very thoughtful and kind.
Floors could have been a little cleaner
All we needed + convienant
Good facilities including a Fridge, and microwave. Fresh milk for tea, scones and homemade jam on arrival. Ideal location when working away from home.
Lavender Lodge is in a nice location very close and convenient for the ferry terminal at Rosslare. It is a very small cabin with a patio and it was clean.
The bed was very small and not very comfortable particularly because the bedding was made of polyester!
Tranquill, located close to the quaint villages of Kilmore and Kilmore Quay, the enclosed private garden, the facilities, everything was perfect.
Our stay was short but sweet. A lovely place to stay after a long drive from the West coast. Just a short drive to the ferry terminal in the morning at Rosslare. Thanks for the scones!!
Gorgeous
Lived everything
We liked the scones Local SPAR shop and village only short drive away Great dog walking by sea
A quiet area with closeness to villages and ease to go to a pub if wanted. Well equipt lodge with TV and WiFi to be able to have a easy relaxing night
It was perfect. Cosy, comfortable and secluded but close to the Quay and the village. Loads of lovely little touches especially the welcome scones which were delicious. It was a great stay.
Nothing
Loved the scones butter and jam. The place was very clean and had everything we needed
Location was good. Service to Mary Barry's for dinner was great. Very comfortable. Lovely and quiet. Safe for the dogs
We liked everything ☺️
Great location..beautiful lodge everything we needed.
Beautiful accommodation. Excellent attention to detail. Lovely location.
A perfectly formed tiny house! It is cosy and comfortable with everything that we needed for our three day stay. Its proximity to beautiful coastal walks and Mary Barry’s excellent restaurant is an added bonus.
I loved that this listing was *precisely as advertised* from pics to inside and out. Absolutely no hidden surprises to the booking. Wonderfully Pet Friendly. Easy to get in and stay in or go out.
No notes.
We really enjoyed our stay, the space is just right for 2 adults. The scones, jam and all the little extras make it feel really homely. Spotless clean and in a quiet location. Couple of minutes to drive to Kilmore Quay
Location was perfect for my visit. Cozy little cabin with lovely warm touch. Nice and clean. Scones on arrive were lovely. Really nice touch.
The bed was a bit small for me. The end bed rails didn't allow me to stretch out.
The scones left for us on arrival were lovely. Only 3 mins fro Kilmore Quay. Perfect.
Could not get the TV working. Read books instead.
Lovely little place, well equipped for a short stay
Hard to find in the dark!! Despite EIR code. Not such a big deal.
Beautiful country location close to village and pub
Nothing, everything was perfect
Perfect location for a stopover for onward journey to Rosslare for the ferry to Spain. Had everything we needed for our short stay, well equipped , comfortable , pretty lodge with enclosed garden (perfect as we had our dog with us).
Just a small criticism (and it was dark when we got there ) we drove by twice as we couldn't see the sign .
well thought out. very clean. well appointed
could not find the cork screw
Excellent facilities and comfortable
Could do with a light over the sign as we arrived when dark and the sat nav did not take us to the property. Would never have found, had to ask someone local who took us to the property.
This place was so nice, everything you would need for a short stay. Good location to catch ferry to Spain. The hostess and son greeted me with smiles and very welcoming. I would very much recommend this place.
Really cosy lodge, lovely scones from host. Plus milk and bottles of water Also local pub collected and dropped us to have a meal/ drinks.
All positive
Lavender Lodge was cosy, very comfortable and warm. Well equipped with everything we needed for our two nights stay. We enjoyed the tasty scones and jam that were left out for us on arrival. The outside area was fully fenced off which was great for the dogs, very safe. The location was close to all amenities. We had two lovely meals at Mary Barry's restaurant/bar, where the staff were so nice and friendly. They run a courtesy bus so you can enjoy a drink with your meal. We would recommend lavender Lodge as a nice place to stay. Anna and Kevin Maye. Naas co Kildare.
Clean and cosy .. ideal safe place for our dog
Lovely & cosy, great location and a lovely gesture of scones & Jam left for us on arrival. Will definitely go back for more than 1 night next time
Pretty much everything. It had everything we could need and had lots of thoughtful extra touches, and we were also left yummy greeting gifts. Dog friendly too 👍
Having to leave. We were using it as a pre-ferry stop but it deserved better. We could happily have stayed a week.
Clean comfy & cosy ! Self contained & great for the dog !

Everything was great. Exceptionally clean, tidy and well presented. The thoughtful touches of leaving fresh bread, butter and jam was beautiful and really appreciated. It’s perfect for its short drive to Rosslare Harbour which is just 20 minutes in the car.
Nothing. It was perfect.
Omg the chalet is so beautiful. I had my dog George with me, and he loved it. The personal touches were fab that basket with homemade brown bread butter and marmalade and Jam were so welcome. I would definitely stay again ❤️
I found the key pad really hard to work. I ended up u tube searching it. Broken nails later I got it open 🤔
The property was cosy and it had everything we needed. The property is 4 mins outside Kilmore Quay. Ideal for a couple with one or two small dogs. We were left a beautiful welcome basket of fresh brown bread, homemade butter and jams. There is a Smart TV the WiFi is quiet weak that's my only negative. Thanks for a lovely stay.
We had a Smart TV. The WiFi strength was poor this is the only negative I'd give.
Had everything you need, very clean and nice details (including some home made bread and butter!)
Host lovely, ,great for singles or couple with a dog..pretty enclosed patio area outside to relax in with your pet.
Beautiful little cabin, private, clean and had everything you might need. It looked exactly as it was described Nice touch was the brown bread and jams 👍
There was nothing we didn't like.
Amazing wee spot, very peaceful and comfortable Close to beach (5min drive) lovely outside area to chill Rachel was super friendly and accommodating We had everything we needed and a gorgeous basket of homemade irish soda bread with all the trimmings on arrival We took our dog cooper who loved it and owner has lovely dogs there too, notably the gorgeous Albert :) absolute treat :)
Can’t say anything bad Note that it’s a smart Tv so not live Didn’t bother us but might not suit others
