Les plats préparés par les dames de l’hôtel étaient délicieux, les activités très bien organisées et l’emplacement calme et paisible. Un grand merci également pour toute la bienveillance reçue tout au long du séjour !

La quantité des plats, parfois insuffisante pour les adultes. Il faudrait aussi être plus clair sur les modalités de paiement : les 5 % supplémentaires pour un paiement sur place par carte font vite grimper la facture.

What I loved most about the property was how beautifully it connected you with nature while still feeling incredibly warm and comfortable. LUZUL has a very special energy peaceful, authentic, intimate, and full of love. It never felt like a typical hotel; it truly felt like a home away from home. The natural beauty, the peaceful surroundings, the attention to detail, and especially the warmth of Natalia, and the entire staff made the property unforgettable. Every space felt thoughtfully cared for, and there was a genuine sense of connection and hospitality.

Hier stimmt einfach alles. Die Lage dieses kleinen Hotels ist einzigartig. Von Nuquí aus erreicht man es mit dem öffentlichen oder privaten Boot entlang der unberührten Pazifikküste – schon die Anreise ist ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. So viele verschiedene Grüntöne der tropischen Natur kann man sich kaum vorstellen. Das kleine Dorf Arusí ist bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Besonders schön fanden wir die morgendliche Stimmung am Strand, wenn die Kinder auf dem Weg zur Schule sind – ein wunderbarer Einblick in das authentische Leben vor Ort. Die Gastgeber leben Nachhaltigkeit mit voller Überzeugung. Hier wird bewusst im Einklang mit der Natur gehandelt: Es gibt keine unnötigen Plastikflaschen oder überflüssigen Abfall, stattdessen wird großer Wert auf einen respektvollen Umgang mit der einzigartigen Umgebung gelegt. Genau diese Philosophie macht den Aufenthalt noch besonderer. Auch kulinarisch hat es uns an nichts gefehlt. Das Essen war hervorragend, frisch und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Ein absolutes Highlight war für uns die Walbeobachtung. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns, dass diese Touren mit großem Respekt vor den Tieren durchgeführt werden. Es sind kleine Boote mit wenigen Gästen, die Wale werden weder verfolgt noch bedrängt, und die Begegnungen erfolgen mit ausreichend Abstand. Der Schutz der Tiere steht hier eindeutig an erster Stelle – genau so sollte nachhaltiger Tourismus aussehen. Wir haben unsere Zeit dort von der ersten bis zur letzten Minute genossen. Es war ein ganz besonderer Ort, den wir niemals vergessen werden und den wir jedem empfehlen können, der Natur, Ruhe und einen respektvollen Umgang mit Mensch und Tier schätzt.

The hotel is very well located with a lovely sand beach! The rooms are comfortable and clean and the food delicious! Natalia, the hotel manager, looks after the guests well! There are a lot of insects in the area so make sure you take a bug spray with you

Tuvimos una experiencia increíble! Desde que llegamos Natalia y Giovani nos acogieron y atendieron haciéndonos sentir como en casa. Las chicas de la cocina cada día nos sorprendían con alguna delicia de comida del pacífico. Las instalaciones cómodas y lo más lindo es despertarse y ver la selva y playa como te rodean, vimos ballenas, subimos río arriba en chingo (canoa), nos bañamos en el río, hicimos una caminata en la selva donde vimos todo tipo de pájaros, insectos, animales y plantas tan cerca que te sientes parte de ella. Y como no mencionar a Marea! la perrita mas tierna y juguetona del pacífico 😍que siempre te recibirá con juegos y uno que otro lametazo! Pasamos 4 días increíbles y por supuesto con ganas de volver! 100% recomendado!

Todo: la ubicación, la playa, la naturaleza, las instalaciones, la comida (demasiado deliciosa) y la atención!

it was a beautiful place with lovely staff. the general vibe was nice and the food was really delicious

it was madly expensive. we received a ludicrous bill because we had children in our room which we thought had been agreed beforehand. we did get it discounted but I still wasn't really happy with it in the end. the whole thing seemed to be run by a bunch of people in Medellin, bossing around the staff on the ground which was massively disappointing.

Cuando cambiaron el grupo de cocineras bajó un poco la calidad. El grupo liderado por Elizabeth fue excelente!

Lo natural

Nos gustó absolutamente todo. La ubicación en el paraíso. El gusto en la decoración. Las cabañas son preciosas y muy comodas las camas. La ducha al aire libre es una experiencia única. Los jardines y exteriores están super cuidados y limpios. Las chicas de la cocina son muy lindas y cocinan de maravilla. Fue uno de los mejores lugares donde comimos en Colombia. Y por supuesto el trato de Rafa y Alejo que están siempre pendientes de todo. Volveríamos mil veces.

El alojamiento es espectacular, el personal es muy amable y mantiene pendientes de tus necesidades. La comida es de excelente calidad y deliciosa.

I had an incredible stay at Luzul. From the moment I arrived I was treated like family. Juanda is a fantastic host and the entire team, including the staff and the guides, took good care of me. The food was delicious!!!. The hotel is beautiful and completely surrounded by nature. You really get to experience everything: the animals, the rain, the sun, the jungle, the sound of the sea. This place is perfect for people who can embrace weather unpredictability, wild animals and occasional changes of plans. Rain can be very frequent, but that is part of the beauty of the experience, so make sure to pack good rain gear. It was just amazing and truly one of the most special places I have visited. Highly recommended.

The hotel’s location is truly unique and peaceful, with a beautiful beach. Definitely a highlight of our trip! The architecture of the houses is stunning, and the social atmosphere makes it easy to meet and connect with other guests. The food was very good. We would definitely recommend this place to everyone :)!

Las cabañas, la increíble comida de María, la calidez de Alejandro y todo el equipo de Luzul, el recibimiento con agua de coco 🥥 y cada uno de los planes, que están pensados para causar el mínimo impacto en el territorio, además de contar con guianza de las personas de la misma comunidad de Arusi. Sin lugar a dudas uno de los lugares más bellos y cómodos en que nos hemos quedado.

El hogar fue increíble! Las vistas y el sonido del mar eran simplemente espectaculares. El personal fue muy cercano y amable. Rafael, el dueño de Luzul, nos trató de maravilla: se nota el cariño en cada detalle. Las actividades fueron muy buenas, y el equipo siempre estuvo atento a nuestras necesidades. El pueblo de Arusí está muy cerca, y allí la gente nos hizo sentir como en casa, como locales. Si te gusta socializar pero también tener tu propio espacio, Luzul es el lugar perfecto. Sin duda, volveré pronto!"

Un lugar ideal para conectar con la naturaleza y conocer personas maravillosas. Gracias Alejo, Sami, Rafa por celebrar con nosotros la vida de mi novia, todo fue espectacular en la semana compartida, definitivamente volveremos a vivir la magia de Luzul.

Los horarios de las comidas podrían ser un poco flexibles, podría haber más variedad de comida ya que todos los días fue pescado.

The best place we stayed at in Colombia!! It’s such a magical place and I would recommend it to all my friends or family visiting Nuquí. The rooms were spacious and made you feel part of nature. Deconnecting was never so easy. The food that was prepared for us was fresh and so tasty. The staff was incredible, we also met the owner and we loved the story of how he started the hotel. We were able to do some nice activities such as whale watching which was just incredible :-) At Luzul you really feel welcome!

UBICACIÓN INMEJORABLE EN LA ZONA DE NUQUÍ, MUY AUTÉNTICO. PERSONAL SUPER AMABLE, ESPECIALMENTE EL DUEÑO, RAFA. CABAÑAS MUY CONFORTABLES, PESE A LO REMOTO DEL LUGAR. Y TUVIMOS LA SUERTE DE CONTAR CON AGUA CALIENTE Y ELECTRICIDAD POR LA NOCHE... CON LO QUE NO CONTÁBAMOS CUANDO HICIMOS LA RESERVA.

ESTARÍA BIEN QUE, ADEMÁS DE TOALLA PARA EL ASEO PERSONAL, SE OFRECIERA UNA TOALLA EXTRA PARA UTILIZAR EN LAS EXCURSIONES QUE INCLUYEN BAÑO (AUNQUE FUERA PAGANDO EXTRA). DE TODOS MODOS, CON NOSOTRAS FUERON MUY AMABLES Y NOS PRESTARON UNAS TOALLAS QUE TENÍAN DE USO INTERNO, COMO EXCEPCIÓN.

Un lugar perfecto para desconectar y reconectar con lo esencial. Rodeado de naturaleza, transmite paz y armonía desde el primer momento. Ideal para descansar, relajarse y conectar con la tierra. El ambiente es cálido y acogedor, y el personal es increíble: Juancho y Alejandro son maravillosos siempre atentos, amables y dispuestos a hacer que la experiencia sea especial. La comida casera de María Luisa te hará sentir como en casa. ¡Totalmente recomendado!

El trato del personal muy cercano y disponibles en todo momento para lo que hiciera falta. La comida excelente. Las habitaciones espectaculares, cuidando hasta el mínimo detalle. Una experiencia inmejorable y para repetir.

El hotel es precioso, está en un sitio privilegiado a pie de playa. Se oye el mar desde las cabañas (nosotros estuvimos en la que está más cerca del manglar y por la noche lo oíamos aún sin estar a pie de playa). La comida es riquísima y la atención de todos los que están trabajando allí es espectacular. Además, está todo super limpio. Fue nuestro fin de vacaciones y no podíamos haber elegido mejor sitio. Nos encantó el lugar y el hotel.

Vriendelijk onthaal, hulp bij het plannen van activiteiten, leuke kleinschalige bar, eenvoudige maar lekkere keuken! Met smaak ingerichte accommodaties, waarvan sommige met zicht op de Pacific!

De kwaliteit van het bed kon iets beter.

Het hotel ligt echt op de rand van de jungel en de zee waardoor je van beide echt alles voelt en beleeft. Het eten wat door de dames wordt gemaakt is super op smaak en Juan doet er alles aan om je verblijf zo ontspannen mogelijk te maken. Uiteraard was het van zo dichtbij de walvissen zien een van de hoogtepunten!!!

Ik zou zelf wat meer mijn best doen om het terrein en de gebouwen wat netter te maken, ook al is dat moeilijk omdat je echt ver weg in het regenwoud zit.

My recent trip to Nuqui was a journey into the heart of Colombia's wild Pacific coast, a perfect blend of adventure and eco-discovery. Seeking a truly immersive experience, I found myself enveloped in the raw, untamed beauty of this remote paradise. From the moment I stepped off the boat, I knew I was in for something special. I had the pleasure of staying at a rustic eco-lodge hosted by the wonderful Juancho. The simplicity of the accommodations perfectly complemented the natural surroundings. The food was a true delight. Every day, I enjoyed freshly caught fish prepared with local flair, accompanied by delicious traditional dishes. It was a genuine taste of the region. Getting to Nuqui was an adventure in itself. The journey involved two flights and a scenic one-hour boat trip. While the travel was a bit lengthy, it only added to the feeling of escaping to a truly remote destination. Be prepared for potentially bumpy boat rides and pack accordingly! The remoteness of Nuqui was its most captivating feature. It offered a level of peace and privacy that is rare to find. The lack of crowds allowed for a deep connection with nature. It was a place to truly disconnect and recharge, far from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

I wholeheartedly recommend Nuqui to nature lovers, adventurers, surfers, and anyone seeking tranquility. If you crave an authentic, off-the-beaten-path experience, this is your destination. My top tips are: pack rain gear and quick-drying clothes, as the weather can be unpredictable. Be prepared for travel that is heavily dependent on good weather, and embrace the slower pace of life. Learning a few basic Spanish phrases will also enhance your interactions with the friendly locals.

Luzul is a very nice small ecolodge in a beautiful and very wet place; in fact it’s reputed to be the wettest place on the planet with an average of 30 feet of rain per year. But that should not discourage you from going. In the 5 days we spent there it rained every day, but mostly in short duration bursts with plenty of nice weather to do outdoor activities. The place has two cabins each with an upstairs and a downstairs unit. All the units are very open to the surrounding rainforest, but surprisingly, mosquitoes were not a problem. The meals are prepared by a skilled cook using local ingredients and the meals are substantial and delicious. Juancho, the resident manager, speaks some English and is very kind and helpful. He will help you arrange a canoe trip up the nearby river to a swimming hole, and a jungle hike to another swimming hole beneath a waterfall and a deserted beach. A short walk west down the beach is Arusi, a small village with a few stores. A 45 minute walk east will take you to some hot springs, but you can only do the walk at low tide in order to cross a channel. If you go it’s necessary to fly first to Nuquí then take a boat ride that takes about 1.45 hours to Luzul.

We completely loved it. From the very first moment, we felt taken care of. The staff was there for us the whole time. The food was amazing kudos to the local chefs team! The location is not the closest to the airport, but that allows one to enjoy the nature of the area more. There are so many things to do and see! We stayed in a very beautiful cabin that had it all. The cabins are done with a great deal of craftsmanship, and overall, the hotel is super beautiful. We would recommend this place without any doubt.

The only thing ( is really nothing) we didn't understand. Why was not the breakfast from the last day included. (When one books the private boat, in the public one would be too early so is very understandable)

We loved the privacy of the few buildings as well as the lonely Beach! The fresh cooked food was delicious and the staff was super kind and nice. The lodge is beautiful, very natural, clean and very lovely! Mateo made our stay unique and perfect. He is a great host and even better guide. He cares a lot about the guests and gives super interesting Information! 100% to recommend!
