Definitely, the pool and restaurant area is fantastic. The food from the restaurants is one of the best that I ever had travelling; you must try it!

We booked a double room with separate beds and it’s spacious enough. However, the biggest issue is the humidity. There’s nothing hot or dry in the room and some nights I could even smell it through my nose. The location is a bit far from the centre but it’s manageable if you’re a motorcyclist.

Tahanan Resort is truly a beautiful little gem in Siquijor. The property feels peaceful, secluded, and almost like having your own private resort. While our stay wasn’t perfect, the genuine hospitality of the staff made all the difference. What really sets Tahanan apart is its people. Every staff member we interacted with was incredibly warm and accommodating, making us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay. A special shoutout to Benjie and Archem at the bar, whose friendliness and exceptional service made our experience even more memorable. And don’t leave without trying the pizza! It’s made fresh in their wood-fired hearth and was honestly one of the highlights of our stay. We also loved being greeted by Kia, the resort’s sweet resident dog, who added to the welcoming atmosphere.

There were a few downsides. The bathrooms in our rooms had a noticeable odor, the blankets were thinner than expected, and beach towels cost ₱50 to rent for the day, which felt like an unnecessary extra charge. We also had to move one group into a smaller room above the bar due to a room issue. Fortunately, it ended up working out just fine for us.

Nos alojamos en una cabaña muy bonita, sencilla con ventilador y baño en el exterior, los trabajadores son muy amables, dispone de restaurante y una piscina perfecta para relajarte y refrescarte. Tiene muy bonitas vistas al mar. Y su ubicación es buena cerca del pueblo de San Juan.

Todo perfecto incluso me ayudaron para hacerle una,sorpresa a mi mujer que estaba de cumpleaños muchas gracias. SOÑANDO POR EL MUNDO

Tahanan resort really is just what you need for your island getaway. More quiet and with rooms spread throughout the property it's peaceful energy helped bring in the calm element of the trip. The food offered was great, a nice range of Filipino classics with some additional cuisines (the sushi was good!). All staff members were friendly and helpful and the room although an interesting shape was perfect for our needs.

Generally very good, great location and lovely views out over the sea but felt like it was a little bit neglected and could do with some maintenance.

There were lots of mosquitoes in my room when I checked in. When I mentioned it the staff did give me a coil but it didn't get rid of them all - I think part of the problem was that the drain in the CR was a bit blocked and so water was building up and there was also a lot of open bamboo panelling in the CR that was damp and mildewy so there were lots of places for them to breed and hide. The pool was also a bit dirty and looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned for a long time. Generally a lovely resort but seems a bit neglected and like it could do with a bit of maintenance.

De accommodatie had een goede ligging het was niet ver van het strand en van het dorp. Het restaurant dat aan het resort zat heeft een hele mooie ligging kijkend over het strand.

De prijs kwaliteit verhouding is het absoluut niet waard je betaalt heel veel geld en krijgt geen goede kwaliteit. Wij hebben ons verbaast wat ze vroegen voor een kamer en wat je daarvoor terug krijgt. Schimmel in de kamer het is omzettend muf en er is geen tot weinig internet verbinding. Het restaurant dat bij het resort zit vraagt hele hoge prijzen voor het eten, het personeel zit aan de bar en doet niks het is echt bizar.

Le lieu est d'une tranquillité absolue, complété par un personnel d'une grande écoute. Chambres très confortables. Mention spéciale pour le restaurant : la cuisine y est excellente et la vue panoramique rend chaque repas inoubliable

L'insonorisation des chambres est à revoir : nous entendions distinctement nos voisins directs, ce qui a beaucoup nui à notre tranquillité. Par ailleurs, nous avons déploré un manque de personnel à plusieurs reprises : réception déserte certains soirs et absence totale de personnel de sécurité à l'entrée du resort. On a eu régulierement des insectes dans les chambres, ce qui fait croire que le ménage n'est pas assez bien fait

No water when we arrived for very long time. Internet is bad The air con filters very very full of dust,so we needed to call and make it clean because without cleaning can't do it's proper work Room not so clean,spiders everywhere.

The staff are very accomodating. The food is superb and delicious. Location is right at the heart of the city with center of nightlife

Sono arrivato alle 11 (ora limite per il check out). Avevo una “cabala” (bungalow senza bagno). Non mi pare ci fossero molti arrivi. La stanza mi è stata resa disponibile alle 14,30 (check in dopo le 15). Tutto sembra “on time”, ma non si può aspettare 3 ore e mezza per una “pulizia” di un bungalow senza bagno. O sono disorganizzati o non gliene frega niente del cliente!

It’s well located and we liked the pool and seaside views. ATMs, attractions and dining options are close by. The receptionist who greeted us on arrival was kind and helpful

You can get much better accomodation for less or a similar price. The room we stayed in was approximately $15 per person per night and was dirty with no AC. The shared bathrooms were also dirty. The food was ok however service was slow.

The water view suite is a joke! Being remodeled, the bathroom is disgusting, AC smells awful, beds suck, WiFi mostly doesn’t work. This place sucks!!!

We stayed in the bungalows (with fan) for 6 nights. The restaurant on site is amazing and the staff are lovely and welcoming. The views from the restaurant area are amazing especially for sunsets, and the pool was super nice to have. The beds were comfortable and it was generally a lovely relaxing environment.

There was nowhere to refill water bottles which was highly unusual, every other accommodation we stayed in in the Philippines (from budget hostels to upscale hotels) all provided this as an essential amenity. The restaurant staff were kind and refilled our bottles but we hated having to ask them to do so 3/4 times per day. The result was having to buy plastic bottles and a lot of plastic waste. I also think the shared bathrooms need to have mirrors and need to be cleaned more regularly. The paint on the floor of the bungalows comes off and stained the sheets badly and also our bags and clothes, and it would have been nice to have reading lamps included in the bungalows.

Nice pool and view from the property

First arrived and were given a different room to what we had booked. Told it was a nice room with a spa bath which could’ve be further from the truth. It was very run down, dirty, lots of mould, bathroom was located outside with lots of bugs and the WiFi did not work at all. When asked why we didn’t receive the room we booked we were told the A/C was broken in the original room and this was an upgrade. We were very unsatisfied and asked to move rooms. As a couple we were then moved to a quadruple bedroom. On first look this room was slightly better and not as outdated and dirty. However we encountered numerous bugs and even a live crab in the sink. I find all the excellent review really hard to understand when we had swarms of wood lice, mouse droppings, mosquitoes and the live crab in the sink. I would avoid this place at all costs!! Worst stay in the Philippines and only reason we stayed the four nights was because there was no alternative accomodation available.

Super friendly staff, beautuliful serene quiet place to stay. Cocktails served at the pool bar while you are sitting in the pool. Its amazing experience. Billiards to play and food is very nice in the restaursnt. All staff is very hospitable and accomodating. Clean comfortable rooms. Only our fridge was not working, and that is something they should have checked before handing us the room key. Overall id recommend this place to anyone!

Fridge not working on arrival. Was fixed but still not ok day after. Tgen got a small one for our group of 8....

I was very pleased with this property. The staff was friendly, the grounds well kept and the on site restaurant had great starlink wifi. I didn't book one of the cabins, which looked very nice, but rather stayed in one of the main buildings closer to the restaurants which sometimes got a bit loud but overall nothing terrible. The room was okay, a bit small but that may be my fault for booking a deluxe room. The restaurant had nice views of the ocean and was located about 20 minutes from the port. It is in a less touristy area, but only 10 minute ride to San Juan and since the island is quite small, everything is within short driving distance. I'd also like to add you can rent scooters at the property. Overall a great stay.

la situation a San Juan, proche de la belle plage de Paliton et d’un excellent restaurant italien. Le personnel accommodant.

Beaucoup de moustiques, pas de place dans la salle de bain pour poser ses affaires et même une serviette. Pas de débit dans la douche. Un simple rideau sépare la chambre des toilettes. Une salle de bain extérieur avec toilettes inutilisables. Les pancakes au petit déjeuner sont très bon par contre la commande est très longue, on n’a pas eu le temps de les manger le jour où on avait prévu une excursion le matin.

The ambiance, staff, pool, and the good food are very commendable about the hotel.

The room doesn’t have telephone so you have to go to the reception area if you need anything in your room, but it’s no big deal. Can overlook that fact because of the very accommodating staff, the well maintained facilities, and the good food in the restaurant. On top of that, it’s near everything so it’s really perfect.

Zero WIFI in rooms the entire stay. First room was an ocean view without a view of the ocean ( need to cut bushes short to see) big room with lack of furniture. Just a strange room. Most to a different room and was more pleasant stay. Property All-around need maintenance.

The property has a beautiful swimming, dinning area and amazing sunset views. The restaurant is great but a little expensive for what was served.

The rooms and toilet are old and unfashioned - really need an upgrade. When we arrived, we asked if it was possible to change to a room with a balcony and said we were happy to pay extra. The receptionist said she would check, but we never received any update — not even after two or three days. The bathroom also needed a much more thorough cleaning, and we didn’t feel comfortable using it. Another disappointing detail was that housekeeping only made the bottom part of the bed and didn’t even put on the bedsheet — we basically had to do it ourselves. It’s sad, because the outside of the hotel is very beautiful, but it really doesn’t match the interior of the room or the bathroom.

Location was good. People were nice. Breakfast was ok.

Resort vieillot, salle de bain ancienne, peu fonctionnelle avec équipement branlant et douche qui fonctionnait qu’à moitié. Personnel prévenu et personne n’est venu réparer. Très cher qualité / prix, déçue.

The location was great - there was no issues getting around and the staff were lovely! The pool table was great during the rainy weather and the restaurant also had great food!

If you are travelling during the wetter season, please be mindful of the rooms. Our bathroom smelt really bad and we’re not sure if it were the rain or the sewerage but the water coming out of the taps did not smell good either.

- King Room was quite big and bed was medium hard. - Room comes with two towels - Resort has a lot of trees, which is kinda scenary. Restaurant has a nice view. - Most of staff was helpful. - They let us have bags in reception after check out before heading to port. - Possible to rent scooter for 400 php per 24h for and 450 php for 125cc. This is somewhat more expensive than other places.

- Only salt water in shower and tap, which is not ideal. - There was a 5 cm gap in main door, which made it possible for ants, lizzards and mosquitoes to enter our room. - At this time it is a huge renovation going on, which makes a lot of noise and the feeling you are living in a «ongoing project». This should have been written on the Booking, so we can chose our self to stay at a constructio-site or not. Also, they had a lot of maintance on the water, which took away the water for us several times. - When we arrived the room was not vented out and the AC was not running. One of our towels had a huge tear in it, which felt weird for this price. - A weird odor/smell of sweage coming and going. - Last note was that the toilet was leaking, which made a lot of smell in the bathroom. All in all I would have accepted some of these things, but to the price of 14,500 pesos for 4 nights it did not feel good enough. And staff could have provided a compensation, for example free scooter or any other non expensive solution.

Incredible food and drinks, lovely pool, attentive staff, amazing views, good location away from the noisy bars and clubs but close enough to get a Tuk Tuk if you wanted to go. Great atmosphere despite it being quite quiet.
