The Lighthouse

The location is perfect for getting to town easily and the view is amazing! Our room was on the bottom floor and was easy to get in and out of. Parking was plentiful and easy to manage. The continental breakfast was delicious and a nice variety. The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed talking with Jack.

I liked everything. Wish I could have stayed longer!

Der persönliche und herzliche Kontakt , mit allen guten Tips für die Umgebung. Das Frühstück ist insgesamt ein Erlebnis. Der Frühstücksraum, mit dem kontinentalen Frühstück, mit frischem Obst, Brot, Joghurt und nicht zu vergessen das tolle Porridge. Es bleiben keine Wünsche offen.

Everything was great, including the location, breakfast, and the staff. It is a short walk into town, and we were given great recommendations for dinner, drinks, and music. In the morning, Dermot made the BEST breakfast porridge! After breakfast, we took a tour with Dermot around the peninsula. We learned so much more than we could have on our own, and he navigated the roads like a pro. He has a great personality and was really fun to get to know. Our stay at the Lighthouse in Dingle was one of the highlights of our trip.

There were no negatives related to the Lighthouse. I only wish we had been able to spend more than 1 night there, but our plans did not allow for it.

We arrived a few minutes before midnight because we were involved in an automobile accident when leaving Belfast.Since we lost an entire day of vacation Dermot was kind enough to "find" an extra night for us so we could make up lost time in Dingle. I highly recommend the lighthouse...beautiful location, excellent service and flexibility with breakfast times and personal recommendations for local activities. THANK YOU DERMOT!!

We had a wonderful stay at The Lighthouse. We were greeted by Jack. He was incredibly friendly and hospitable. He even moved us to a room on the bottom floor. The room was very clean and cozy with a super comfortable bed. I loved that we could do laundry. The B&B is about a 10 min walk into town. Highly recommend!

My only complaint is that we had no hot water one morning for some reason.

Hosts were very friendly and the location was excellent!! B&B is within walking distance of Town centre!

Lovely big room with a harbour view. Well equipped and comfortable.

The host was incredibly friendly, the location was phenomenal, and the room was clean and well sized for our group.

The toilet in our room was giving us some issues flushing, apart from that it was perfect.

Lovely location, super easy to get into Dingle! Lovely and comfortable rooms and Dermot was great - gave us great tips to visit the Kilkee cliffs which were beautiful! Plenty of parking! We didn’t have breakfast but can imagine it was as good because of the standard of the rest of our stay.

We enjoyed our stay there overall. Dermot was lovely and friendly. Rooms were great, beds were comfy, towels and shower items were nice. We would return in the future.

Didn’t realise that the hotel was unattended right up until (just past) check in time. Perhaps it was an irregular situation, but our family popped by a number of times in the lead up to check in and the doors were locked and there was no answer on the mobile twice. When we called the third time at check in time, the phone was then answered and we just had to wait a little while longer for Dermot to arrive to let us in. Also at the beginning of breakfast time, a few guests were left waiting for bakery items as apparently there were some road works that caused Dermot to be delayed in arriving at the hotel. He topped up the bakery items as soon as he got there, but then I’m unsure if that meant the bakery items that we ate (as we were the second group to arrive at breakfast) were leftovers from the day prior? The location was just a little too far for our family to walk into town (senior with bad knees in our group).

Booked 2 of 8 rooms. Neither with any view. Called the Lighthouse - why? Basic accommodation with strong smell of cheap air freshener. Bathroom out of the ark. Very poor breakfast - not as sold to us

Jack was great at greeting us, helping with bags and suggestions. Washing machine and dryer available. Great breakfast.Good location close but not too close.

We loved the location of The lighthouse just an easy 10 minute walk down to the town. The room was spacious & had very comfortable beds with stunning view out the window.

Das Continental Frühstück war äußerst dürftig, ein Käse war verdorben. Das Obst war allerdings sehr gut. Hat trotzdem 15 € pro Person gekostet.

The staff were lovely and very helpful. The location and walk to the property was beautiful. The rooms were quiet, clean and cosy. Altogether a lovely stay.

Asked for tea and coffee making facilities and they allowed us to use the coffee machine which was lovely.

Auf das Frühstück haben wir verzichtet, da es ggü. den anderen Unterkünften eher einfach ausfällt. Das Lighthouse liegt etwas außerhalb, man sollte gut zu Fuß sei . Dann ist der Weg nach Dingle kein Problem.

Het ontbijt viel helaas wat tegen. Bij aankomst waren er geen croissants, brood en beleg meer aanwezig. Na navraag moest een medewerkster snel naar de winkel om nieuw brood en croissants te halen. Fruit was daarentegen meer dan voldoende aanwezig. Helaas werd er geen warm ontbijt aangeboden.

Sehr nahe zur Ortschaft gelegen. Man kann zu Fuss zu den Restaurants laufen. Sehr gutes Frühstück

Dermot was an exceptional host, he was accommodating, welcoming, and gave us so much information on the area over breakfast. He is the perfect example of what people from Kerry are like and why people want to return year on year.

Nothing to report, we were happy with everything. We arrived quite late and even the ease of access to the building has to be commended.

The Lighthouse is well located, an easy stroll from Dingle marina where all the hustle and bustle is. Our room looked out onto the water, beautiful. Breakfast was simple, but very very fresh (fruits, bread, croissants), with an elaborate yoghurt choice. Anne is there to help in the mornings. She is wonderful! The room is spacious and the house itself as well. So we enjoyed a read on the couch in the hallway overlooking the water, while the other was getting ready in the room.

Nothing really! Besides something personal maybe: the bed/ mattress was too soft for us.

Owner was not on site to meet and greet. Had to make a call. Near midnight a guest set off the fire alarm and we evacuated the building and tried to call the owner. Kept going to answer phone. Another guest called the fire brigade who attended the property and were able to deactivate the alarms after checking the property. The room did not have air-conditioning and it was a warm night.

Buena ubicación con unas vistas preciosas a pesar del mal tiempo. El gerente muy amable, las instalaciones perfectas. El desayuno muy completo y de calidad.

Hele vriendelijke gastheren! Prachtig uitzicht en op 10 minuten loopafstand van het leuke plaatsje Dingle. Ik kreeg van de gastheer een heerlijk glas wijn bij mijn pizza die ik at omdat mijn man ziek op bed lag.

Lovely location and views, nice rooms, and great hosts. The breakfast was fresh, lots of fruits, freshly baked croissants and local cheeses, so Continental rather than full Irish. The interactions with Dermot and his son, our hosts, were very pleasant and we were also able to do laundy and store our bikes inside. Great experience and beautiful place to stay in Dingle. Highly recommended!

The beds were a bit hard, this depends on taste. We liked it but others might prefer softer beds.

Die Zimmertemperatur entsprach der Außentemperatur, an diesem Tag leider ca. 30 Grad, da die Fenster sperrangelweit geöffnet waren. Die ohnehin sehr/zu späte Breakfast Time um 08:30 Uhr wurde vom Gastgeber prompt "verschlafen". Es lagen nur Reste vom Vortag im Frühstücksraum. Gnädigerweise wurde uns das Frühstück (?) dann auch nicht berechnet.

This was a perfect base for us in Dingle on our anniversary trip. Dermot was an incredibly attentive host, he sent an email with recommendations for the city and we felt very welcomed. The room was huge and comfortable and we had a lovely harbor view. I would absolutely recommend the Lighthouse for staying in Dingle, the city is close and the rooms are comfortable and clean.

Ízlésesen berendezett szoba. A nagy meleg miatt kérésünkre a házigazda hozott egy mini hűtőszekrényt.

Érkezéskor a házigazdát hívogatni kellett, hogy bejussunk. Emeleti szobát foglaltunk, de először próbált egy földszintit ránk sózni. Végül kaptunk egy emeletit, de nem az volt, amit foglaltunk. A szűkös parkoló tele volt.

They had a check in from 3-6. We altered plans to get there. Yet the staff was not there and we had to call to get instructions. It’s a B&B but they asked for 15 a day pp for a continental breakfast. We put our sign out to clean the room and it did not happen

2 choses importantes. - Alarme incendie, pas de personnel sur place sans moyen de joindre les responsables. L'alarme s'est déclenchée quand les locataires voisins de chambres sont rentré vers minuit, tout le monde est sorti et pas moyen de joindre les responsables, le tél n'est que pour les heures ouvrables, rien pour les demandes urgentes. après 25mn assourdissantes j'ai trouvé comment couper l'alarme et les pompiers arrivaient juste après. Il n'est pas normal que personne ne soit sur place OU joignable pour régler un problème. - Petit déjeuner: très déçu, offre très limitée et que du froid. Aucune offre de produits chauds ou à la demande. On se set dans un petit frigo et sur une petite table. Même le pain était en quantité insuffisante, pourtant un monsieur était là, d'apparence sympathique certes, mais il discutait avec des clients mais ne ramenait pas de pain même s'il voyait qu'il n'y en avait plus... Pour le prix et en BB nous étions très très déçus.

De zeer vriendelijke gastheer Dermott. De ligging met uitzicht op de baai en op wandelafstand van Dingle centrum. Lekker ontbijt, grote kamer, grote badkamer.

Breakfast was a little limited. Would have liked a few more protein options, but everything offered was fresh, and we were able to grab a few items to go when we left early in the morning.

The real charm of this B&B is the wonderful host, Dermot. He makes you feel welcome. Great tips around the area and makes a delicious oatmeal with secret ingredients. The B&B is very well located - you can walk to the town centre - and a great base for exploring the peninsula. The rooms are a bit on the small side but I would definitely stay here again.

Apex roof in room 1 was a bit of a problem for my tall partner. No cooked breakfast, no fridge in the room and the owners were not onsite except for breakfast and room tidy although they could be contacted by phone.

We loved everything about this hotel, from its beautiful location and breathtaking views to the warm, personal welcome and easy communication. The owner, Dermott, was especially wonderful and went out of his way to make our stay memorable. He kindly recommended not only great places to eat, but also must-see spots to visit on the way to our next destination.

I had one small wish, it would be for a more varied breakfast menu, as there were no meat dishes :) But this was only a personal expectation, not a problem.

Dreamt and his family were incredible hosts with lots of recommendations for the area. The rooms were very clean and spacious.

Wir hatten nur eine Nacht im Lighthouse, unkomplizierter Self-Check-in, sehr gute Kommunikation vorab und freundliche Hosts. Sehr gute Lage um ruhig zu schlafen und zu Fuß in den Ort zu gehen.
