Clover Cottage is an ideal base for exploring Sligo. It's in a peaceful location. We enjoyed sitting in the front garden in the sunny evenings with its stunning views of Knocknarea.
Everything was great. Comfort, countryside. Safe space outside for our toddler 🙂
Shower wasn't as good as we would have liked.
Clover cottage was very clean, quiet and in a beautiful location. Everything we needed was provided and it felt like a home away from home.
The heating was on full strength when we arrived, but the hosts were able to turn it off when requested which was great.
Lovely place to relax. Quite area. Fabulous landscapes around.
The cottage was perfectly situated for our adventures in all the amazing surrounding areas and provided us with everything we needed to make it feel like home away from home. Shelly is extremely helpful and an excellent host.
Everything was perfect.
Very cosy, spotlessly clean.
The cottage was spotless, neat and tidy , and so comfortable, excellent facilities
There is nothing to dislike about clover cottage
Lovely comfortable, cozy, traditional cottage with all mod cons.
Everything, great outside spaces if the weather good
Doorway from bedroom a bit low, but everything else perfect
Clover cottage is great. I'd recommend it for anyone who wants a nice couple of days outside of the hurly burly of a busy city and just wants to relax in a really nice place. The kitchen was great and we cooked a few meals and just chilled out. There's lots of really cool art in the cottage and the beds are really comfortable. The owner has pretty much kept everything you might need in various drawers and cupboards that you open up and think "oh, that's handy". Even disposable aprons for those of us who might be messy in the kitchen. You can sit outside having a coffee and watch the next door neighbour sheep.
Very comfortable it had everything that you might need. Lovely area to sit outside in the sun with a glass of wine. Loved the quiet and the country side. Loved that we could cook a meal for a change instead of eating out.
There was nothing to dislike
The cottage is in a beautiful quiet location the perfect place to explore the gorgeous county of Sligo
Beautiful location, spa-like ambiance and the hostess is very gracious. The room was also spacious
Shelly was so responsive and flexible. Great old fashioned cottage with all the modern comforts.
Beautiful location and cottage. Comfortable, really clean and everything you might need. Host, Shelly really easy to contact and quick to reply to enquiries. A charming, wonderful place to stay. Perfect place to relax and unwind.

Spacious. The bathroom has a bath tub.
The reason we chose this property was a washing machine. But it didn't work properly. I tried to wash twice in different cycles. After three hours I found my washing was still dry with detergent partly. The owner asked me to call her in the email but unfortunately my phone didn't work to call her.
We had a fantastic time staying here our host shelly went above everything for us it was a pleasure to stay would 100 per cent highly recommend
Could not find any fault at all
The quaintness and the history of this 200 year old cottage. The host, Shelly, was wonderful, responsive and thoughtful of everything to make this cottage a terrific place to stay. Stayed 2 nights, wish we’d have stayed for 3 nights!
Nothing to dislike.
It's an authentic, small cottage in a beautiful spot. Great location for looking at sites of interest.
We struggled a bit staying here. It is quite small with a low ceilings and just a bit cluttered. The wifi was very slow (2mbps) so streaming movies or episodes of anything didn't work. Finally, the 'scent' from the plug in scent devices was totally overpowering - and remained so after we switched them off. It might be that these things aren't an issue for many guests, but they were to us.
I loved everything about the cottage. Everything was at your disposal. The views were amazing.
Couldn't fault anything
Everything, including it’s location
Loved it, from the location to the inside of the cottage everything was so cute and cosy and couldn’t have asked for better.
Beautiful cottage cosy warm and very clean- extremely accessible to everything from beaches and town center. ❤️
Warm, spotless, cosy and a beautiful location. There was a lovely welcome message from the host.... it was a very nice touch
Cosy, warm and comfortable with lovely woodburning stove in living area. Kitchen well equipped including a Nespresso machine. Extremely quiet area. No noise outside whatsoever.
Beautiful traditional cottage in great location. Very comfortable, warm , clean and cosy. Couldn't fault anything and would recommend highly
Faultless accommodation
It felt very homely, the bed was amazing, really had everything I needed (but a wine opener, but don't worry sorted that out very quickly!! :-)) Hot water!!! Me and James (the picture of the Cow on the wall) enjoyed the piece and quiet!!!
There was nothing I didn't like!
Comfortable, clean with all needs catered for. It was unseasonably cold for September so we really appreciated the heating.
It's a very cosy Irish cottage with 2 lovely outdoor sitting areas. It's private, quiet. You can enjoy some peaceful walks around the area. I would love to stay there for an extended period if I could.
Not yet knowing about using Eyr codes (Irish postal codes) for Google maps, we ended up at a place with Clover in the name, far away from where we should have been at first! But the owner responded quickly to our text to help us out. So just be careful that you're heading to the right place. Once you find it, if you want private, quaint and cosy, you won't be disappointed!
Quaint, warm, cozy
So clean and cosy
Very well equipped house, very cosy and comfy
Tv didn’t work, sent an email to the owner but didn’t receive a reply
Such a cute cottage 😍! Great location - near to sligo Town & only 15 minutes from strandhill, rosses point etc! Also the nearby Hazelwood is gorgeous for a walk - lakes, woods, forests etc
The cottage was absolutely perfect. Definitely what one would expect in an Irish cottage. Lots of character, beautiful surroundings, and a bathtub….. We will definitely be back.. Thank you Shelly..
A beautiful and authentic Irish cottage nestled above Lough Gill, within a short drive to Sligo town. Spotlessly clean and with everything we needed for a few days tranquillity. Perfect base for exploring the the counties of Sligo and neighboring Leitrim.
This is an authentic cottage, so built many years ago with original low ceilings intact. So if you're tall just mind your head going between rooms. Low doorways well signposted by owner.
Very quiet and out of the way area, as we hoped. Lots of information & brochures pre-selected and curated in order to help us decide where to go. Communication was good before and during our stay as well.
Very cosy and comfortable cottage . We had a lovely peaceful time here .
We liked everything about the cottage .
