Los enchufes y wifi no funcionan, colchón con olor a orina de gato, se acabó el gas mientras me bañaba y no había nadie para cambiarlo, tuve que llamar a la persona a cargo y más encima se burla cuando le digo que no sale agua caliente, y me dice que me busque otro alojamiento si no estoy conforme.

It is such a unique experience that you can make friends with the host, which does his best to accept your cultural differences and make his own accessible for you. Also the island itself is magical place and this house with its different guests is a perfect illustration of everyday life on a remote island. Would not hesitate to stay there again for a longer period 🙏❤️✌️

Limpieza nula, el lavabo compartido parecía que no se había limpiado nunca. Las habitaciones bastante sucias también. Y la cocina compartida muy sucia, yo no contaría con cocinar algo allí… En general si quieres ducharte y dormir en una cama limpia, no recomendaría hospedarse aquí…

Reviewed Aug 22, 2026La posizione e la gentilezza dello staff, l'accoglienza e la disponibilità sono state eccellenti, questo alza almeno in parte il punteggio ma non consiglierei ad un amico la stanza perché è sporca , non ci sono mobili per appoggiare i bagagli, puzza di umido . La cucina condivisa è piccola e sporca e non ci sono posti al chiuso per sedersi e mangiare .avendo speso veramente poco per essere l'isola di pasqua , non avevo grandi aspettative e quindi non sono rimasta delusa.
La stanza era sporca , il cucinino sporco e piccolo, non ci sono posti al chiuso dove mangiare , non ci sono mobili dentro la stanza per appoggiare le cose .

Reviewed Aug 16, 2026復活節島住宿都偏貴..小小的一間房間要價台幣三千多..有廚房.可自己從SCL超市買來復活節島..此間老闆接送要錢.一次要收10000CLP..等於台幣350...後來慢慢推去機場.在半路.當地人很好心救援直接在你到機場了....不用請老闆幫忙找當地一日遊的團.貴很多 ...自己去當地找..便宜許多...我個人覺得復活節島參加當地一日遊就好...我看外國人為了省導遊費.自己騎腳踏車 在外面拍照摩艾像......旅館給的被子.很薄...晚上還會冷.....

Reviewed Aug 14, 2026Ein sehr besonderer Aufenthalt auf Rapa Nui Ich habe mich im Hostal Vaihere von Anfang an sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Lage ist perfekt – ruhig, aber trotzdem nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß vom Zentrum, den Restaurants und dem Meer entfernt. Auch der Flughafen ist bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die herzliche und persönliche Betreuung. Ita und das gesamte Team waren unglaublich freundlich, hilfsbereit und hatten immer gute Tipps für die Insel. Man fühlt sich hier nicht wie ein anonymer Gast, sondern wirklich willkommen. Das Hostal selbst ist einfach, gemütlich und sauber, mit einem schönen Garten und einer angenehmen Atmosphäre. Für meinen Aufenthalt auf Rapa Nui war es genau die richtige Unterkunft. Ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen und das Hostal Vaihere uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit!

洗濯サービスが1回10,000ペソ以上と高額、洗濯物も洗ってはいけない（しかし皆構わず洗うので仕方がなく干させてくれる）、布団も部屋も古い、バスルームが清潔ではない（掃除をしていなくてドブ臭い）、21時過ぎてもリビングで盛り上がった人たちが大声で話している

Reviewed Jul 20, 2026Finding affordable accommodation on Easter Island isn’t easy, so discovering this hostel felt like hitting the jackpot. Without a doubt, this is one of the best value-for-money places I found during my entire trip through South America. The owner is truly the heart of this hostel. He speaks English well, has an amazing personality, and immediately makes you feel like you’re visiting an old friend rather than checking into accommodation. Before I left, he even gave me a beautiful handmade local necklace as a farewell gift, which was such an unexpected and touching gesture. He also jokingly told me that if any of my friends visit Easter Island, he’d happily give them a discount because they were referred by me. That kind of hospitality is something you simply don’t forget. The hostel itself is also very clean. The bedrooms, kitchen, bathrooms, and common areas were all well maintained and comfortable. Everything felt relaxed and welcoming, making it easy to meet other travelers or simply unwind after a long day exploring the island. The Wi-Fi was another pleasant surprise. The signal on the second floor was a little weak at times, but the connection in the first-floor common area was fast and reliable, so it never became a real problem. The only small downside was the hot water. Depending on the time of day, there wasn’t always hot water available, so taking a shower occasionally felt like a bit of a gamble. Fortunately, it wasn’t a major issue considering everything else this hostel offers. Overall, this hostel exceeded every expectation I had. Affordable, clean, friendly, and full of genuine hospitality, it made my stay on Easter Island even more memorable. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly place with an owner who truly cares about his guests, I honestly can’t recommend this hostel enough. I would gladly stay here again without hesitation.

La douche présente des traces de rouille. La propreté de la salle de bain est à améliorer. Enfin, gros problème d'humidité dans la chambre car peu d'aération. Toutefois, pour palier l'odeur, le propriétaire nous a donné une bombe de parfum.

Reviewed Jun 12, 2026Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Ita. C'est un hôte parfait : toujours souriant, disponible, bienveillant et plein de bons conseils pour découvrir Rapa Nui. Un grand merci pour son accueil ! Le logement est parfait : confortable, très propre, avec une douche chaude, une cuisine bien équipée, un réfrigérateur et tout le nécessaire. Le petit patio couvert est très agréable pour se détendre, même lorsqu'il pleut. L'emplacement est idéal : dans un quartier calme, tout en étant à seulement quelques minutes à pied du centre, de la plage et des moaï. Je recommande ce logement sans aucune hésitation et j'y retournerais avec plaisir.
Le seul petit inconvénient est la présence de quelques moustiques, mais avec le climat chaud et humide de l'île, cela semble difficile à éviter.

Dorm is located at 2/F. Be care if you bring a big luggage. The distance between bed to bed is so closed. Shower at 2/F for dorm haven't hot water.

Reviewed Jun 6, 2026- Super friendly host, Ita gave me a warm welcome teaching me some Rapa Nui words and giving lots of recommandations, including for local guides and activities. He's very nice, always ready to help and makes sure everybody is having a great time! The owner lady is also kind, she lives next door and allowed me to park my rental motorcycle for the night under her porch. - Excellent location, in quiet area, at walking distance of airport, city center and coast. - I stayed in a dorm of 6 beds, bed was comfortable and there was a small locker. - Equipped kitchen with stove and microwave. Each guest gets a personal space in the fridge. - Drying rack available outside for towels and swim suits. - Trash bins (in kitchen and toilets) are very often emptied. - Very good wifi. - Hand soap available in bathrooms. - Recycling bins for plastic, paper and glass - Payment accepted in cash or cards (credit and debit, with 4% extra charge)
Just minor details that could be improved : - Bathrooms and shared spaces are basic but functional. I would appreciate more hooks in bathrooms to hang my stuff. - No hand towel in kitchen and bathroom.

Reviewed May 20, 2026Der Inhaber war super nett und hilfsbereit. Er gibt einem viele Infos zur Insel. Es wurde alles mit Insektizit eingesprüht. Es gab zusätzliche Decken für kältere Nächte. Es gibt 2 Küchen, mit Herdplatten (inkl. Wasserkocher), Mikrowelle und Kühlschrank. Das Duschwasser war warm, manchmal muss man ein wenig warten. Es gibt einen lauten Ventilator. Es ist vieles Fußläufig erreichbar.
Da keine Handtücher gestellt werden, wird auch keine Fußmatte gestellt. Daher ist das Bad ein wenig nass nach dem Duschen. Da wir mit unseren Flip Flops durch das Zimmer gelaufen sind, haben wir den Schmutz in Verbindung mit dem Wasser durch das Zimmer und Bad getragen. Die Dusche hat einige Roststellen und ist ziemlich laut. Es gibt nur ein kleines Deckenfenster, dass man selbst nicht öffnen kann und ein Fenster im Bad. Es gibt wenig Ablagemöglichkeiten.

Reviewed Apr 9, 2026The location is very close to the main street, only one block away, and also not far from the airport within walking distance. One can easily walk to the hostal. And the owner speak good English and gave us many information as well.
If there's a table in the room would be better. But it's not a big deal.

Reviewed Apr 8, 2026-great location an easy walk from the main street with shops and restaurants -easy 10 minute walk to the airport with a sidewalk -amazing host who gave lots of information to help us get started -quiet and comfortable -nice outdoor communal seating, great for chatting with other guests -two kitchens available to guests -great showers and wifi

Reviewed Apr 4, 2026Easter Island is special and Vaihere makes it affordable! The room are nice and wide, multiple bathrooms, kitchen and wifi available. The centre is a few blocks away. Ita received me with a big smile and a lot of useful information. Def recommended! Thank you!

Reviewed Mar 25, 2026La ubicación es muy buena para caminar a todo en el centro. El hombre que trabaja allí fue muy simpatico, chistoso y con muchos conocimientos de la isla. Nos ayudo con todo lo que necesitábamos-- muy amable y atento a todo. El cuarto era simple pero suficiente cómodo y limpio.
La cocina es muy pequeña para preparar comida y básico. Necesitas sus propias toallas
