Reviewed May 31, 2026Provenir is a small town with friendly and supportive residents. Our stay in Yendegaia House was no different as the host was kind, attentive, and informative of things to do while in Porvenir. The breakfast was fantastic, with a spread of yogurt, cereal, freshly made eggs, tea, coffee, ham, cheese, fruit…etc. The host was attentive at any time we had questions and spent time with us reviewing things to do during our stay. He also made note to ask how the room temperature was to ensure our comfortability. The room itself had a fantastic view of the sunrise/sunset and was spacious. Parking is ample and there are markets and restaurants at walking distance from the house. Would strongly recommend staying here if passing through Porvenir.

Reviewed Mar 27, 2026Todo, la verdad que genial, de entrada nos sentimos como en casa, Vicente tiene esa amabilidad y profesionalidad para hacernos sentir bien de entrada. Las camas son super y si bien todo da a la calle y era fin de semana, dormimos muy bien. El desayuno top, completo y riquisimo, super temprano para partir a ver los pinguinos y el buen humor de Vicente son todo.

The Hotel is an amazing heritage building that the owner clearly loves, so having four dripping wet motorcyclists was not ideal for wooden floors. The owner helped us get warm, and offered drying facilities for our sodden gear. Our stay was great and we really appreciated everything the owner did for us, including looking for, and finding some equipment I had lost in my room. This place is special, not just because of its history and collection of artifacts (the place has operated as a hotel for over 100 years) but because of the people. Great coffee in the morning and advice on how and where to catch the ferry as we left. Muchísimas gracias de parte de los cuatro motociclistas de Nueva Zelanda.
We liked it all. Good rooms, hot showers and a great breakfast. Great host.

Reviewed Mar 22, 2026Vincent and his wife are amazing hosts. The bedroom is big and the bed is super comfortable and warm. Breakfast is served in an warm and nice decorated breakfast room. You will feel like at home. Definitely recommend to try their homemade cake. I highly recommend to stay here.

Reviewed Mar 18, 2026Es la segunda vez que nos quedamos en este hotel, la primer fue hace 7 años y el lugar sigue tan agradable como lo recordamos. Muy lindo, muy bien ubicado y muy cercana la atención. Muy linda vista, el lugar muy limpio y la sala con muchos libros para disfrutar de un espacio de relajo.
Como es una casa vieja, se escucha todo por los muros. Pero eso no es una incomodidad, sino que solo la realidad del lugar.

Reviewed Mar 13, 2026La ubicación, la limpieza de la habitación y la ropa de cama, las camas cómodas, un ambiente grato de casa sureña, muy cálido y acogedor. La atención de los anfitriones y un cheesecake, de frutos rojos con chocolate exquisito.
Mi marido es grande, por eso tenemos siempre un tema con la duchas, son muy pequeñas. El desayuno falta variedad.

We were comfortable and warm with great conversation and equally nice coffee! Deberían revisar los extractores de aire de los baños, suenan súper fuerte. Fuera de eso, nada más.

Reviewed Mar 2, 2026Las camas muy cómodas y suavecitas. La habitacion amplia, súper acogedora, muy limpia. El baño súper bueno, la presión del agua espectacular. Se agradece las muestras de shampoo y jabones. El desayuno fue espectacular. Muy variado y rico. El hostal es muy acogedor, tiene una sala de estar donde en familia se pasa increíble. Es muy tranquilo y el encargado fue muy amable, preocupado y atento. Además venden un chai latte de cacao exquisito!
Tal vez podrían arreglar la ventana de la pieza, porque no se podía abrir y nos hubiese gustado ventilarla, pero en verdad todo estuvo muy bueno. Sería ese pequeño detalle para acotar.

La pantalla de la tv muy pequeña, pero es solo un detalle.

I had accidentally cancelled my stay, realizing that on the ferry over from Punta Arenas, but I'm very glad I was able to get that sorted out. Definitely recommended if you're stopping through!

Reviewed Dec 24, 2025Beaucoup de charme dans ce petit hôtel. La décoration et le vieil escalier en bois lui donne beaucoup de cachet, la literie est excellente. Les propriétaires chaleureux sont très disponibles pour vous faire optimiser votre passage à Porvenir. Le café est très bon (chose exceptionnelle au Chili. L’accès à Porvenir est facilité par une très belle route alors il ne faut pas hésiter à venir découvrir de petit port et les lagunes à côté.

Reviewed Dec 23, 2025We truly enjoyed our stay at Yendegaia House and in Porvenir! The host is very friendly and happy to provide you with tips of what to do, see, and where to eat like a local. The 100-year old house beams with history and is cosy and welcoming, the room is comfortable and warm, and the breakfast is one of the best homemade breakfasts (including fresh fruit salad, fresh scrambled eggs, proper coffee) we‘ve received in all of Patagonia :) I‘d return immediately!

There is not much going on in Porvenir, you can easily walk through the town from the hotel. Rooms were spacious, warm and clean. The breakfast and coffee had been great!

Reviewed Dec 1, 2025Det bästa var personalen, hjälpsam, vänlig och mycket mycket trevlig. Jag uppskattade frukosten men gott kaffe, färsk frukt, gott äggröra. Hade gärna velat ha annat bröd än formbröd och fler vegoprodukter.
trappan var lite jobbigt men jag fick hjälp med mina väskor så det löste sig.

Plenty of hot water and comfortable beds, very good breakfast with lovely fresh fruit salad, my husband said the coffee was excellent. Easy to find with safe parking on the street, there is a small hotel car park as well.
