Darrell Cottage

This cottage was exceptional. From the moment I met the owner to the morning I left I enjoyed every second. The thought and planning that went into creating this space must be commended. Everything and I mean everything, was PERFECT. The bed was better than any hotel I stayed in, the place was spotless, even the quality of the towels was superior. I'd give this booking a 20/10 if it was possible. Thanks again.

The only thing I didn't like was that I had to leave to go to work each day.

la signora Bridget si è dimostrata una persona super gentile, si è premurata di lasciarci una bottiglia di latte fresco, ci ha aspettato al cottage e ci ha mostrato tutte le funzionalità dell'alloggio, indicandoci anche tramite una mappa i possibili supermarket della zona e dove trovare luoghi di interesse Inoltre, è stata sempre molto disponibile a rispondere alle nostre domande senza alcun problema L'alloggio è stato decisamente oltre le nostre aspettative, e nonostante la zona non fosse servita benissimo dai servizi di trasporto non è stato un problema, la fermata per il pullman diretto a Mallow è a 5 minuti dall'alloggio

Darrell Cottage truly felt like a home laway from home. Bridget’s communication before our arrival was outstanding, and she personally met us at the property to explain everything we needed to know about the cottage and provide some excellent local recommendations. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep, and we particularly loved the bathroom facilities. The shower had fantastic water pressure, which was a real treat after a day of exploring. The onsite parking was a huge benefit and made our stay even more convenient. We absolutely loved our time in Kanturk and would highly recommend Darrell Cottage to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay.

Le logement était parfait, très grand, bien aménagé, très propre, confortable et bien décoré ! La localisation est parfaite, on peux facilement aller se promener et accéder à pied aux commerces du centre ville ! Bridget est très gentil et accueillante, merci encore!

Das Cottage ist wunderschön, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und überraschend groß! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Bridget war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

The house looked exactly like the photos. It was clean, well-maintained, and finished to a high standard. The cabinets had everything you need. The owner was very kind. I highly recommend it.

Great bright cottage 2 mins from the center of a great small Cork town. Bridget was so helpful. It was very comfy and had all those little extras that shows the kindness of the host. We loved Kanturk and the friendly people we met.

Literally nothing to fault

This house was lovely. Cosy and warm. Absolutely spotless throughout. Really comfortable. Location was good. We could walk to the main town in about 7 minutes on a footpath. Host was super helpful and friendly. Delighted we chose here for our stay.

Darrell Cottage has everything that a person needs for a cosy, comfy and safe stay. I loved all the little extra touches that are provided that shows these hosts really care about their guests. This was my second time back and I will definitely stay again.

Het is een heerlijk appartement, heerlijke bedden. Complete keuken met alles wat je nodig hebt. Genoeg winkels, restaurants en pubs in de buurt. Op redelijk korte afstand van Cork. Genoeg te ondernemen in de omgeving. We hadden een aantal dagen slecht weer vanwege storm Amy, maar hier heerlijk kunnen ontspannen.

Die Lage hat uns gefallen. In der Nähe war Take away, Restaurants und Bars. Sehr gute Ausstattung der Wohnung. Die Waschmaschine kann Wash & Dry.

Im Bad wäre eine Ablage für Waschtaschen und 2-3 Haken schön gewesen.

Es hat uns einfach alles gefallen, es gibt keinen Punkt ,den wir als negativ empfunden haben. Bridget ist super nett und hat uns jede Frage beantwortet. Wir würden dieses Cottage jederzeit wieder buchen

It’s a place that every traveller would love and need. The location is in walking distance to supermarket, chemist & shops. It’s very spacious with beautiful clean bright comfortable sitting dinning bedrooms. Bridget is a very kind helpful lady she certainly made us feel at home.

Owner met us at the cottage and explained everything. Very friendly and helpful Cottage was very clean and comfortable, kitchen very well equipped, beds very comfortable. All in all a great stay

Bridget was very helpful and gave us lots of insight to the area. Accommodation was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Secure parking so we could unload/reload at our doorstep. Superbly equipped kitchen. Excellent shower hot water always on tap. Lovely soft towels. Weather didn’t allow us to use lovely courtyard seating area. shame

L’hôtesse Bridget est très courtoise, accommodante et accueillante. Tout était très très propre et on s’y sentait comme à la maison. Bien située et belle villégiature tout autour. Merveilleux séjour!

La casa espectacular, las habitaciones muy cómodas y decoradas con muy buen gusto, descansamos fenomenal. La cocina increíble, muy amplia y luminosa, el menaje perfecto, lavadora con secadora. Baño perfecto. Estuvimos 3 días muy cómodos, mis hijas disfrutaron mucho jugando en el jardín. Recorrimos Irlanda en varios alojamientos y este fue sin duda el mejor.

Behind a stone facade and green door surprises you with open and a well appointed "cottage". It had everything we needed to make comfortable stay at Kanturk, where we toured The Ring Of Kerry. So far during our UK& Ireland travels, this was the best cottage so far. Thanks to our host 😀

Beautifully restored stone cottage in the town. Great location for touring South of Ireland. Host very friendly and helpful.

Well appointed, clean, little extras that made it really good, for instance, washing tablets for machine, salt and pepper, clothes airer. When you are moving around it makes such a difference.

Bridget (host) was waiting for us with keys. Showed us around and gave a bit of history of the cottages. The house very smart and clean [lines].

We got a little confused with the heating as it didn't come on upstairs then went off fairly quickly after we arrived downstairs. However the house was warm enough from the heating (presumably before we arrived). I did find the control box in the bathroom and put it on constant for an hour in the morning so no real issues there. We were a bit close to the road which was rather loud during the evening. However with this being our first visit to Kanturk we could not have known so not a complaint just an observation.

The cottage is very tastefully renovated and really well equipped. Bridget is a wonderful host. Everything is spotless and welcoming. We were there to explore Cork, Kerry and Limerick and Kanturk is a great base to do that from. We would stay there again

The stairs to the bedrooms are quite steep and the toilet is downstairs. With our leg and hip problems, we found them a little bit of a challenge

Great location and perfect base to explore Ireland. Stayed 4 nights. Perfect size for a family of 4 or 4 adults to stay. Parking spot outside cottage too. Very clean. Within 1 hour drive from Blarney castle, Tralee, Killarney.

We really liked the flat, it was spatious, quiet and had everything we needed. Bridget was such a nice host and very welcoming. Parking was great too. We will surely come back.

It has been freshly done. The beds were comfortable. It had excellent parking and was within walking distance of the local shops. The amenities were excellent and things like there being milk in the fridge was considerate.

This is one of the best little houses I have ever stayed in. A wonderful renovation of an old terraced cottage with a lovely light filled extension. It has everything you need, including off street parking and an enclosed back garden and patio area.
