I had such a warm welcome and a wonderful stay at the Killooley Lodge! Bernie and her husband Michael couldn’t be nicer—and their hospitality made me feel like I was at home—but better! The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean, and it had a lovely decor and a very comfortable bed. The attached bathroom was very nice. The breakfast room was full of light and character, with great views to the beautifully landscaped yard. The breakfast was perfect—it was a continental breakfast, with cereals, yogurt, toast, scones, tea and coffee, plus fresh fruit. It was a superb home-base for 3 nights/4 days in the area, visiting relatives. Will definitely stay again! Very relaxed and comfortable!
This is a beautiful home and Bernie is a fantastic host. You feel at home and relaxed as soon as you walk in.
There’s nothing to dislike about this lovely B&B.
Gentilezza proprietari, pulizia, parcheggio sul posto
I couldn't eat the food which was provided due to dietary requirements but had to then supply my own food,
I found it somewhat strange that I never saw the host again, even when leaving and I could only make myself a tea downstairs where I felt I was intruding.
The hosts were very friendly and helpful for traveling advice.
Nothing in particular.
The hosts were very kind, warm, welcoming people. I enjoyed our conversations very much. I felt completely safe and well cared for here, as a solo traveling older woman. The bed was very cozy and I slept fantastic. I highly recommend this lovely home away from home. Bernie, thanks for all the extra treats, you are so sweet.
Lovely host couldn’t do enough for us. Immaculate property and in a good location.
Nothing everything was perfect
Very accommodating host.
Very nice welcoming and kind on arrival, couldn’t recommend enough
Country setting, quite, very friendly
Bed mattress could better
Michael and Bernie couldn’t have been more helpful, comfortable beds for a good night’s sleep
Location was good. Friendly host.
Lodge didn't meet expectations.
Everything. Very pleasant stay. 10/10.
Nothing. It was perfect
Not, the "full Irish," but very adequate and healthy. And in line with expectation for price.
No real complaints. Bed was a little harder than I am used to. But no sleep deprivation!
Bernie and Michael are part of a hospitality that I have never experienced outside Ireland, a hospitality that may be disappearing even in Ireland. It is the real, old hospitality of 'a hundred thousand welcomes', the 'céad mile fáilte', that speaks from the heart. And I hope my children and grandchildren will be able to experience it sometime in the future also. So, from the heart aswell, thank you both for a wonderful stay.

The house is fairly new, from 2009 the owner told me, and thus in pretty good condition. Also it was built for the purpose of a bed & breakfast and so it doesn’t feel like the private bathroom that comes with all the rooms (I figure) is crammed in. In fact I think the bathroom was the best of it together with the soft towels. Location-wise: I visited to castles while I stayed there. Birr castle that’s still inhabited and not open for visitors - their garden is quite large but I’ve seen better. The other castle - Leap castle doesn’t look like much from the outside. Half of it is fallen in… but the owner is fixing it up bit by bit. He tells you the story of the castle and he lets you explore the upper rooms on your own. Mind they don’t open on Sundays.
I’m not sure how many guest rooms they have, but mine looked out to the street. And what a busy and noisy street it was. A real pity. Although the driveway to the house is rather long the passing cars were so loud that I used earplugs - had to
Very clean and very welcoming you felt like u were part of a family
Michael and Bernie were very friendly from the moment we arrived. They went out of their way to make us comfortable and make our stay enjoyable. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Killooley Lodge.

We were looking for an accommodation close to Dublin for a 2 night stay. Killooley Lodge is a great location close to Clonmacnoise and the beautiful village of Birr. Bernie was very welcoming and made us feel at home right away. We had a very comfortable stay at Killooley Lodge.
No complaints
Killooley Lodge was a joyous retreat for 2 nights. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the home, the generous welcoming of our hosts who now feel like friends, and the peace and tranquility of the surrounding area.
We loved it all.
Absolutely clean. Very nice area. People very kind and friendly. Perfect.
A lovely comfortable room, spotlessly clean, continental breakfast. Hosts were very friendly. A lovely quiet location. I'll definitely be back.
Lovely homey vibe, the hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming. Facilities and rooms clean, and in perfect working condition. Great experience overall. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant. Highly recommended!!!

Lovely spot , friendly staff and good facilities. Will return in the future
Continental breakfast quite adequate. Would have loved a full Irish but not on offer. Very satisfied with our stay.
Nothing apart from that we would have liked a cooked breakfast & we would be prepared to pay for same.
Lovely comfortable accomodation. Perfect hosts very welcoming
Wonderful couple who own the farm home. Very clean room and comfortable bed. Loved the rural location in Offaly County. Some very nice places to walk/hike and not far from Tullamore if you want to visit a pub or shop. Dan & Molly’s Pub nearby is a great pub not far from the B&B.

nothing. it is just right. we had no problems
This was a perfect choice for my stay. The room was clean, modern, comfortable, and spacious. Centrally located for everything I wanted to do; just a short driving distance. As a solo traveler, I felt safe and secure. Bernie, the hostess was lovely, friendly, and helpful; the whole family was friendly and considerate.
I would have liked a few more local choices for food.
We were made to feel at home and Bernie and Michael couldn't have been kinder. The central location was very good making it easy to travel around the country.
