The place is amazing, extremely beautiful, and well-maintained. Our room was large and nice. It is comfortable to visit Saqqara pyramids, but it is fundamental to organize a transfer in advance with a driver who knows how to reach the place!! You can also walk 25 minutes to reach the entrance of the archeological site, but we didn't even try because we had to bring the luggage with us.
Our stay was unlucky due to a 5-hour electric outage (no lights, water, or wifi), while we were sick, but Nadia and the staff was kind and helpful. The neighborhood is very poor and dirty, the area is full of flies in the day and mosquitoes in the night. It's very difficult to reach the hotel, but once you arrive you feel like in heaven.
Everything was so beautiful, so much love has gone into creating a beautiful, natural space. Nadia was very kind and welcoming and made the most delicious food.
The pool colour
Amazing! Like entering a fairytale place! The architecture and decoration of the cabins and rooms in the lodge are full of atmosphere, made of natural materials, fantasy full style, and show traditional craftmenship.
My stay at Maison Nassimah was nothing short of wonderful. It was a bit of a hidden gem (and a bit tricky to find), but once you step through the gate, you're in a peaceful oasis of simple comfort. Nadia treated me like an old friend, and the food was incredible. If you're heading for Saqqara, this is the place to stay.
Bring mosque repellent.
Very friendly owner, great staff, nice dinner and breakfast (required prebooking). Quiet location.
Hard to find. You're stuck there if you don't have a car.
I had a great three-night stay at Maison Nassimah. The Moroccan style is really unique and makes the whole place feel like a quiet, peaceful escape. My room was very clean and comfortable, with a really cool design. A big thanks to Nadia and the staff for being so helpful. Nadia made everything easy and sorted out a taxi for me to visit Dahshur, while the Saqqara complex is actually close enough to walk to. The breakfast was a real highlight—it was delicious, filling, and gave me all the energy I needed to spend the day at the pyramids. I felt right at home here and would definitely come back!
The place can be a bit difficult to find, i would recommend getting in contact with the structure before departure.
We really enjoyed our stay with Nadia, and even if the accommodation is a little out of the way, you can get to Sakkara relatively quickly by taxi and also a little further to the very worthwhile Red Pyramid and the Bent Pyramid. Every time you come back from an excursion, you have the feeling of returning to an oasis of calm. Everything is beautifully and lovingly laid out, Nadia is a great hostess and the food is delicious and the breakfast plentiful. We would definitely recommend this accommodation!
Warm hospitality, delicious food, extremely unique and charming facilities, comfortable rooms. The hostess Nadia made us feel at home and helped us arrange a guide and driver for seeing local sights.
The location was remote and somewhat difficult for our driver to find
I loved everything about this place! The rooms are Nubian style houses beautifully decorated, perfectly clean and very comfortable, surrounded by plants and flowers which give this place such a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere. The owner is an amazing person who made me feel at home, and helped me in everyway possible. The possibility on cooking own food or ordering a meal was super convenient and delicious. The breakfast was very good too and plentiful!
Nothing.
