No breakfast, which I didn’t realise. Didn’t get any sleep from 5am in the morning, there seems to be a loud motor going off from the heating system right beside the room, which was just off owners utility room.

No wardrobe. Heating not adjustable.etc... no accurate directions which caused issues with people travelling friends.

The room itself was attractively decorated, clean, and the bed was large and very comfortable.

My partner and I stayed for three nights and, while there were some positives, several issues meant our experience didn’t match what we expected from the listing. The room itself was attractively decorated, clean, and the bed was large and very comfortable. However, we were repeatedly woken up or disturbed by loud noise from children—beginning at around 7:30 a.m. each morning and sometimes continuing for over half an hour or longer. There was also significant noise from the same children in the evenings while we were trying to eat and relax. The two side-by-side windows of the room look directly into the backyard of the family home, and multiple times per day children and family members walked past them, which meant that frequently we were compelled to close the blinds for privacy. Also the en-suite bathroom door did not close properly which was obviously less than ideal. The listing suggested the room had access to a kitchen. (‘Kitchen’ was listed under ‘Kitchen Facilities’ for our particular room.) There was a room we had access to which had a sink but did not have the basic items you’d expect in a kitchen such as soap, dish brush, dish detergent, kitchen paper, tea towel, rubbish bin or recycling bin. We did receive cutlery and two plates, which we appreciated. The room was actually the owner’s utility room with an air fryer and microwave in it for guests’ use. We would not have had an issue with any of this if the listing had not said ‘kitchen’. The listing also said there was a wardrobe in the room and there was not. While some level of interaction with a host’s family may be expected at a guesthouse, it is not reasonable to expect to be woken every morning by loud, disruptive noise or to feel unable to open blinds due to frequent movement right outside the window. Also, the property is called in the listing “country retreat”—which would reasonably attract guests looking to rest, not commuters leaving before dawn, for example.

Close to airport, clean. Hostess gave us some milk to make coffee.

We weren't given a key to access the property and the main door was just left open which I wasn't comfortable with. The bedroom access is just inside this door off the main utility. The air to water system for the whole house is located on the wall of the room this was very noisy and made sleep difficult. The door to the bathroom needs looking at as it was sticking.

The spacious room features a compact refrigerator; tea, coffee, and sugar supplies were adequate. The room was clean, and the owner provided friendly service.Price very good.

A bit was surprised room in main house utility room, from the pictures looks room in separate building.

The room and ensuite was spotless clean. The bed was the comfiest I've ever slept in. The host Niamh was very welcoming and the house and area was very quiet which suited me perfect.

There was nothing I didn't like it was all I needed. A perfect place to lay my head.
