Reviewed Aug 2, 2026We had a wonderful stay! The house was beautiful, very clean, and had such a lovely ambience. Even though we stayed for just one day, we really enjoyed our time there and felt comfortable throughout our stay. We would definitely love to come back again and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay.

Reviewed Jul 22, 2026The house was brilliant for the large party of guests. Beds for everyone. Great location for us to explore our maternal grandmother's homeplace in Dromone. Brilliant garden and we were blessed with lovely weather so were able to bbq and sit outside while the teenagers played hurling.
It is an old house which could probably do with some updating but that wasn't an issue for us.

Reviewed Sep 1, 2025We stayed in Millbrook house for day 2 of my daughters wedding. Claire and William are exceptional hosts and were extremely accommodating allowing us to check in early. The house is beautiful, spotlessly clean and so much space. There were 9 of us and it never felt cramped. It had everything we needed for our short stay. Highly recommend.

Reviewed Aug 20, 2024The house was perfect. We were a family group of ten and the house was more than spacious for us. The place was spotless and the outside area was lovely. The kids loved exploring around the garden and there were loads of games inside the house to keep them busy in the evening. The hosts Claire and William went above and beyond to ensure everything was ok. Oldcastle town itself is very close and there is a lovely walk up to an old megalithic site. I would definitely recommend!!

Could Def do with another bathroom upstairs . Was bit crazy in the morning with large group all looking for toilet/ shower. Is another down stairs but still busy.

Reviewed Apr 8, 2024Fab place to stay, Claire and William were great hosts. We were a group of 6 adults and 2 kids attending a family event locally and we were all very comfortable there. It’s very clean and all of the necessities were available in the house.
