Very friendly and efficient staff. Easy check-in and check-out. Convenient location: just opposite to ferry pier, and next to a convenience store. Room was clean and cozy. Old building but very well maintained. The host lady was very kind and considerate to confirm dinner menu with us at check-in. As we couldn't eat beef, seafood was served instead. Dinner was more like Western style, very well cooked and presented. Breakfast was very nice too.

Todo fue maravilloso. Las habitaciones estilo japonés auténtico, de muy buen tamaño. La cena que nos dieron fue excepcional, un menú japonés con explicaciones por parte del chef de cada plato. Y sobre todo la hospitalidad de Shinkoby su familia.

Emplacement idéal face à l'embarcadère. Ryokan d'un premier abord un peu désuet mais à découvrir pour ses repas et son personnel charmant et très prévenant. . Très grande chambre pour 3 Diner traditionnel exquis en 7 plats avec un cuisinier aux petits soins qui explique les plats et très bon petit déjeuner continental ou japonais au choix. Une belle découverte, nous avons adoré y séjourner.

Piccolo hotel a gestione familiare appena di fronte all' attracco dei traghetti. Struttura gestita da persone gentilissime. Molto comodo per raggiungere il paese anche di sera a piedi. Cena veramente ottima.

Nos alojamos una noche y fue de las mejores que pasamos en Japón. La habitación muy amplia de estilo tradicional. La ubicación excelente justo frente al ferry y a cinco minutos de todo lo más interesante de la isla. La comida buenísima y preparada con esmero. Pero lo mejor es el personal que trabaja allí. Todos y cada uno de ellos hicieron que viviéramos una experiencia muy bonita en nuestro viaje. Gracias y recuerdos de Alejandro y Gloria.

La hospitalidad, los detalles de la habitación amenities de todo tipo en el baño y había un ramo de rosas frescas, los futones muy cómodos y la ubicación genial. Mi marido bajó del monte misen muerto y tras guardarnos las bolsas le dejaron ducharse a pesar de q ya no teníamos la habitación. La cena y el desayuno buenísimos, primando lo propio de la tierra y tanto desayuno como cena acabamos llenísimos

De gastvrouw en haar zoon waren zeer vriendelijk. Ondanks dat ze de Engelse taal niet volledig beheersen doen ze er alles aan om een gesprek met je aan te gaan. Super aardige en lieve mensen. Heerlijk (continentaal)ontbijt en avondeten. Met liefde klaargemaakt en geserveerd. De badkamers zijn heel knus maar alles is aanwezig. Super ligging omdat je vanaf de ferry zo naar de ryokan loopt.

Er is geen wasservice aanwezig. Voor de rest kan je zien dat de accommodatie wat ouder is maar alle gastvrijheid van de gastvrouw en haar zoon maken alles goed.

Cuando ves a la anfitriona esperarte en el muelle para llevarte al hotel con una cara de humildad y bondad te imaginas lo q te encontrarás a continuación, es una persona sencilla y entrañable, q hará q te sientas en casa, siempre dispuesta a ayudar y a darte lo q necesites , hizo q me emocionara al despedirme de ella , no es solo una estancia, es notar en tu propia piel lo q la gente de este bonito país es capaz de dar, volvería no una, sino mil Veces si me pillara mas cerca de casa, si vais no os arrepentiréis, totalmente recomendable

L'accueil a été exceptionnel et chaleureux, notamment grâce à la dame qui nous attendait sur le pas de la porte et au personnel qui nous a accompagnés jusqu'à notre hébergement. Le ryokan traditionnel est immense, extrêmement confortable et idéalement situé à deux pas du ferry. Enfin, le dîner était un véritable délice et nous avons été très touchés par les efforts de nos hôtes et du cuisinier pour échanger quelques mots en français.

Il nous est bien difficile de trouver le moindre point négatif à ce séjour tant tout était pensé pour notre bien-être. Tout était absolument parfait, du service attentionné jusqu'au confort de la literie.

Todo!!! No se le puede poner ni un solo pero. La atención por parte de los dueños, muy cercana. La habitación era genial, con todo detalle y al estilo japonés. Y la cena espectacular: estaba todo riquísimo. Sin duda, lo recomendaré siempre. Fue una experiencia inolvidable.

Fue una experiencia extraordinaria, estuvimos solo una noche y nos supo a poco. Los dueños fueron increíblemente amables. Teníamos media pensión y la hora de la cena fue una experiencia impresionante, el mimo y el detalle que tienen se transmite en todo lo que hacen. Si volvemos a Japón, lo escogeríamos otra vez sin duda alguna.

What a great place to stay. Right there when you get off the ferry. Our stay was comfortable and clean. The view from our window was gorgeous. The host was fantastic. So friendly and English speaking. He cooked us a fabulous dinner with locally sourced foods. He was very informative and passionate. We felt so happy to be there, what a memorable time we had. I highly recommend this place. Thanks again to such lovely hosts.

Veramente una bella esperienza, sembrava di essere in famiglia, sapevano anche parlare un po' di italiano. La cena ma soprattutto la colazione veramente ottime. La stanza tenuta benissimo con tatami e futon e nell'armadio due yukata bellissimi e fiori freschi.

I highly recommend this place, the most charming stay of our time in Japan. Delicious multi course traditional dinner included, with really lovely staff. The lady who runs the place took her time to tell us all about the places we should visit whilst we were on the island on our arrival and gave us maps too which was really useful and very kind. They also let us store our luggage there as we arrived a little early for check in, so that we could go off and explore. Beautiful clean ryokan style room with sea views, in close proximity to local sites and across the road from ferry terminal so very convenient. Thanks once again! :-)

Wonderful family run guesthouse with a large Japanese style room and a small room with twin beds. The hosts were super friendly and charming. The 5 course dinner was exceptional and authentic. Location is ideal just across from the ferry terminal. Highly recommend this

La camera è in perfetto stile tradizionale giapponese, pulita e di dimensioni adeguate. La cena è stata superlativa e ampiamente oltre le nostre aspettative. Piatti di qualità presentati come se fossimo in un ristorante stellato. Sia la proprietaria che il personale sono persone estremamente gentili ed ospitali

L’accueil était parfait ! La femme qui tient l’établissement est adorable et a était aux petits soin avec nous. La chambre typique est charmante et la vue sur mer et sur les daims très appréciée. Le dîner compris dans la réservation était sublime (sans exagération). On nous as servi 7 plats dont du poisson et du bœuf d’une très grande qualité. Merci beaucoup pour les découvertes culinaires et pour l’expérience particulière qui nous a fait sentir chez nous.

Petit détail négatif : les oreillers sont très fin et assez peu confortable.

Die Lage des Hotels ist super, direkt am Fähranleger. Morgens und abens schauen ein paar Rehe vorbei, um gefüttert zu werden. Ganz herausragend ist die Freundlichkeit der Gastgeberin und aller Menschen, die dort arbeiten. Man wird mit großer Herzlichkeit empfangen, darf sein Gepäck schon vorher dort lassen und bekommt eine Karte und Tipps für besondere Sehenswürdigkeiten. Sehr gut waren auch das Abendessen und das sehr umfangreiche japanische Frühstück.

Mir hat alles gefallen, ich habe es nur etwas bedauert, kein japanisches Zimmer gebucht zu haben

This inn is directly across from the ferry terminal making it an ideal sport for a stay on Miyajima. VERY convenient. The dinner that came with our stay was exceptional. The owners son was one of the chefs and he explained each dish very well (much better than a Michelin 1 star restaurant we stayed at earlier in our trip in Kyoto). The owner and her son have run this inn for many years (my wife and I stayed there on our honeymoon in 2002) and it was great to come back. Highly recommended!!

Emplacement très pratique en face du terminal des ferries. Personnel très agréable et serviable. Demie pension très appréciée notamment le dîner avec un repas de plusieurs plats, variés et très bons.

Les hôtes sont adorables et la cuisine est excellente

Ryokan tradizionale molto caratteristico, con tatami e futon. La struttura è un po’ vecchiotta, ma secondo noi ci sta perfettamente con lo stile delle vecchie case giapponesi e contribuisce all’atmosfera. La camera era enorme, molto più spaziosa del previsto, e avevamo addirittura due piccoli bagni. La parte migliore del soggiorno è stata sicuramente il personale: una signora anziana, credo suo figlio e un’altra ragazza, tutti davvero carinissimi, gentili e accoglienti. Avevamo cena e colazione in stile giapponese tradizionale, preparate con ingredienti freschi presi al mercato: era tutto squisito e molto autentico. Non è un hotel moderno o lussuoso, ma è stata una bellissima esperienza, calda e familiare. Consigliato.

Gleich gegenüber von der Fähre. Phantastisches Abendessen. Gastgeber sind wirklich sehr nett und total bemüht. Koffer kann man nach dem Auschecken (bzw vor dem Einchecken) noch dort lassen.

Wenn man - so wie ich - zum fotgrafieren dort ist und das Abendlicht nutzen möchte, kann man es vergessen, da das Abendessen frühestens ab 17:30 und spätestens ab 18:30 serviert wird. Dadurch, dass es mehrere Gänge sind, geht sich bei Beginn um 17:30 der Sonnenuntergang nicht mehr aus. (Mitte Mai). Schade. Insgesamt fand ich ehrlicherweise auch den Preis nicht ganz angemessen, da die Zimmer nichts besonderes sind.

We felt welcomed as friends from the minute we walked through the door of this family run ryokan. The Japanese style room was comfortable and had everything we needed for the night. Dinner was amazing. Dietary requirements were checked on arrival and the chef came out with every course to explain where the ingredients came from (all were local), and instruct on how to eat if necessary. We enjoyed a 7 course tasting menu and every course was exceptional, particularly the sashimi. Breakfast was a choice of Japanese or Western. We chose Japanese and weren’t disappointed. This is an experience not to be missed.

THE HOTEL WAS VERY CONVENIENTLY LOCATED RIGHT OPPOSITE THE FERRY TERMINAL. BREAKFAST & DINNER WERE INCLUDED AND THE FOOD WAS EXCEPTIONAL - SOME OF THE BEST JAPANESE FOOD WE ATE ON OUR TRIP.

THE HOTEL IS A RYOKEN WITH TRADITIONAL JAPANESE ROOMS HOWEVER WE ENDED UP STAYING IN A SMALL TWIN ROOM SO WE DIDN'T GET TO EXPERIENCE THE BEST ACCOMMODATION ON OFFER WHICH WAS A SHAME

The food was good and well presented.

We chose this hotel to enjoy the torii gate at sunset and at night, but that was not possible. Dinner (17:30–18:30) is extremely early and forced us to rush, making us miss the sunset. Then, at 22:00 the hotel closes, so you cannot go out or enjoy the island at night, even though the torii remains illuminated and the last ferry departs at 22:30. The service feels rushed: during dinner they try to clear plates before you finish, and breakfast is already served in advance, so it arrives cold. Additionally, most of the island’s attractions and activity areas are concentrated in one part of Miyajima, while the hotel is located near the ferry terminal on the opposite side. This makes it inconvenient to return to the hotel for meals in the middle of the day, especially when there are plenty of food options available while you are out exploring. There are no outdoor areas or terraces to relax at night, and the hotel has no elevator (three floors of stairs). It is marketed as a traditional Japanese experience, but in reality it is very basic, with no onsen and outdated facilities that need renovation. For the price, it is not worth it. We also found much cheaper hotels nearby.

Accueil très chaleureux de la famille, on se sent tout de suite à l’aise. Le repas, de grande qualité, nous a permis de découvrir de délicieuses spécialités locales. La chambre traditionnelle est charmante et très confortable, avec des futons épais et agréables. L’emplacement, à deux pas de l’embarcadère, est idéal et très pratique. Une étape mémorable que nous recommandons sans hésiter !

C'est un hôtel familial très chaleureux et accueillant. Les chambres traditionnelles sont superbes et très confortables. Le diner est exceptionnel digne des grands restaurants. Un énorme merci !

Posizione perfetta davanti l'imbarco dei traghetti, struttura anni 80 molto ben tenuta. Lo staff è stato meraviglioso con la proprietaria e il figlio sempre pronti a soddisfare ogni richiesta. La cena ed il pranzo in stile giapponese spettacolari con lo chef pronto a spiegare ogni piatto accuratamente. Consiglio vivamente!

女将さんも社長もスタッフの方もとてもいい方でアットホームです。他の口コミの通りです。食事はミニ懐石を頼みましたが素晴らしかったです。山一別館さんと別のホテルで二人ずつ泊まりましたが、頼んだところ4人分の料理を快く引き受けていただき、家族4人で団欒のひとときを過ごすことができました。

A beautiful experience: the people who run the ryokan were truly exceptional, very kind and accommodating. Special mention goes to the dinner and breakfast, which were really outstanding. A magical place where I will come back.

Very friendly welcome from 'Mum' with advice on what to visit around Miyajima. Delicious traditional Japanese dinner of many courses, the origin of each described in detail by chef 'Son'. Choice of Japanese or continental breakfast. Large room with private bathroom. Great location opposite ferry port and walking distance to all sights. Definitely recommend.

Quizás un poco caro en relación calidad/precio pero entiendo que los alojamientos de la isla son costosos.

Maravilloso. Recomiendo alojarse al menos una noche para disfrutar de la isla con más tranquilidad y recomiendo disfrutar de la cena que preparan con tanto amor. Madre e hijo son maravillosos y te tratan como si fueses parte de la familia. ¡Ojalá volver!

Tout était parfait dans cet établissement, plus que tout l’accueil extraordinaire de la propriétaire, un amour. Nous avons eu le plaisir d’y déguster aussi un dîner présenté par son fils tout aussi raffiné, puis un petit-déjeuner dignes d’un chef étoilé, et accompagnés par de la musique classique…

La struttura si trova di fronte al traghetto e ricalca assolutamente le caratteristiche di un tradizionale Ryocan con arredamento tradizionale, futon e tatami. Ma la cosa più splendida sono i gestori di una gentilezza disarmante che ti fanno sentire come a casa della nonna. Cena e colazione migliori fatte in Giappone per la qualità e presentazione dei piatti. Miglior location dell’isola nel mix di tutte queste componenti

I am not sure where to start. Location - directly opposite the ferry terminal and across from lawson’s Service- absolutely can’t fault anything, nothing was too much trouble. With the help of google translate and some English, we were so looked after. I paid for the half board as I am coeliac and I had seen good reviews. The food was amazing and endless. We tasted items I wouldn’t have had an opportunity to try elsewhere. The rooms were Japanese style and suited all our needs. Great view from our room and well ventilated. Seriously well worth the trip.

Posizione, accoglienza, gentilezza estrema, cibo buonissimo, ambiente tradizionale. Se si potessero dare 10 stelle le darei. Non riesco a trovare una cosa negativa e se anche ci fosse LE PERSONE che lavorano in questo posto ti fanno dimenticare ogni possibile piccola imperfezione. Commoventi, loro, la struttura e l’isola di Miyajima intera. Rapporto qualità-prezzo molto vantaggioso e posizione incredibile, 50 metri dalla stazione dei traghetti (ma ciò non crea problemi). Se venite a Miyajima, per favore, passate almeno una notte qui. Fidatevi.
