Reviewed Aug 10, 2026Sehr gemütliches, hübsch eingerichtetes Ferienhäuschen. Ländlich ruhig gelegen, wobei Doorn in wenigen Minuten mit dem Rad oder dem Auto erreichbar ist. Sehr saubere Unterkunft. Während unseres zweiwöchigen Aufenthalts wurde uns eine Zwischenreinigung angeboten. Die Gastgeber waren freundlich und immer hilfsbereit bei Fragen, z.B. nach Ausflugszielen. Idealer Ausgangspunkt für ausgedehnte, abwechslungsreiche Radtouren durch's Grüne oder auch nach Amersfoort oder Utrecht.

The ground floor is quite dark, only have a few decorative lights but missed ceiling lamps, it was a bit inconvenient for the evening time.

Reviewed Nov 24, 2025Schitterende lodge. Geweldig gelegen in het buitengebied net buite Doorn tegen de utrechtsehe heuvelrug./ kaapse bos. 5 minuten. Zeer ruim huis. Lekker uitgegebreid ontbijt( wel prijzig)
Ik miste een paar lampen beneden in woonkamer.. lezen voor mij lastig. In bed kan je niet rechtop zitten tegen een muur. Vanwege vrij staan van het bed.

Reviewed Oct 20, 2025De locatie is prachtig. Vrij uitzicht, veel buitenruimte en je loopt zo het bos in. Daarbij ook dicht bij Doorn voor de noodzakelijke boodschappen. Heerlijke bedden. Sfeervol verblijf.
De 2 benedenruimtes zijn opgedeeld in keuken en woonkamer. Door het lage plafond (langer dan 185/190, dan moet je bij 2 balken bukken)en wat schaarse verlichting voelt het binnen donker en klein. Wij waren met 5 volwassenen. Met kleine kinderen zal het anders worden ervaren. Wat meer verlichting en nog een klein bankje in de woonkamer erbij misschien?

Not for tall people.. my husband kept bumping his head at the first floor ceiling , the sower was too short for him. Kids bed are simple, not very comfy. The main road is close so it’s not so quite. The interior of the house is very hot in a summer day, small windows and in the first floor is impossible to ventilate. You can hear and feel every step in the second floor because it’s made out of wood. There is no breakfast available, only a 5 minutes drive a way at a caffe.

Reviewed Jul 16, 2023Location was quiet and rural with a nice ambience. Herbert was very welcoming and was attentive to both our needs and the suggestions we made to improve people's experience. I have stayed in many different locations in many European countries and would put this right near the top of my experiences in over 50 years of travelling.
There was nothing we did not like, but we made what Herbert thought were useful and sensible suggestions as to how to improve the usability of the premises for a wider range of guests.
