Lovely food. They were super dog friendly! Close to a lovely canal walk.
The room was a little small with a Labrador’s dog bed in it
Lovely staff as I’d booked dinner but not for the night we were staying 🤔 but the receptionist quickly got us booked for that evening. Dinner was lovely again staff very attentive. Breakfast again great.
It was very warm during our stay and air con would have been nice in our room.
Really nice hotel a short distance from the M6. We arrived quite late after a long drive and were given really helpful information on how to check in, and we even got drinks at the bar even though we arrived 15 mins before closing. Nice modern, quiet room as well. Very convenient for the Lakes and Dales too.

Nothing
Friendly, spacious, nice atmosphere and food good.
For the price pretty good thanks
Clean, quiet and friendly staff
Great parking and superb amenities.
Badly behaved dogs brought in by badly behaved humans.
Easy to reach Near the motorway
The bedroom was spacious and clean. All the food we had during our stay was excellent. Quality produce and cooked to a high standard. Everything that was supposed to be hot was served piping hot.
The mattresses on our bed had seen better days so we struggled to get a good nights sleep
Great location and always friendly staff. Comfortable stay. Great car parking with cctv (we were on a motorbike so this matters a lot)
Nothing
Roast potatoes were inedible
COMPLETELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE Crooklands Hotel in Westmorland. Arrogant, haughty, unfriendly and unhelpful staff. In a lifetime of staying in Hotels good bad and indifferent all over the world, never have I felt so uncomfortable or unwelcome as I feel in this place. In Reception and in the restaurant, the staff seem to think that the customers are a nuisance and the Hotel is run not for the customers but for the staff. Deeply unpleasant and offensive. Never will I stay in a Best western again.
Location, furnishings, room commodities, cleanliness, staff friendly and efficient. Ability to take you away from the M6 and feel like you were in depth of countryside with a canal nearby.
Was a small thing and would have spoke to reception about it if we were staying longer, cause am sure they would have sorted it. It was quite warm in room and windows didnt open fully.

Didnt have breakfast. Location perfect for my needs. Very handy veing so close to M6 junction
No complaints at all
Bedding was covered in black marks over pillow cases and bed sheets
Fab location for car show
Ground floor level access and facilities. Food and dining available after hours of travelling. Such a convenient location close to route alternatives. Everything catered for in an overnight stop and more. Very pleasant surroundings
Nothing really, just a couple of mentions. Nice walk in shower but no hand or safety features only a plastic suction stick on handle, so dangerouse for even partially disabled. Slip mat not sufficient needs two. No proper mirror in shower room only tiny square hand held on windowsil, no good for a man's shave. Window blind had to kept down all the time due to constant internal view from busy outside area, needs blind with partial vision block that can be changed to full block for night.
Attention to detail in the rooms. Staff attentive and always have a smile fir everyone
Small/ standard size bed. Not the usual king
Modern, clean, handy for motorway.
Just one thing - they need to put a bath mat in the shower. They were very slippy and someone could have a bad accident.
The staff and the food ; both exceptional 👌 Room very comfortable
Given the very warm weather , our room was just a bit too warm and we couldn't cool it. Not a big issue, but better climate control would be lovely
I found it difficult stepping in and out of the bath to shower. Recommend appropriately placed handles
Cosy old’ pub , great modern bedroom , comfy bed.
Nothing
Breakfast and dinner were extra but was aware of this in advance. Restaurant food and service excellent so worth the extra Bar service and reception very friendly and efficient
Nothing - we had a great time
Relaxing place, clean and contemporary. Lovely breakfast. Nice rooms. Helpful receptionist.
Next to main road. A bit on the expensive side. Restaurant service a bit inconsistent: one minute rushed and other times quite slow.
Very nice accommodation. Helpful staff. Good facilities. Nice restaurant with good food. Good parking
No problems
Ideal location
Good room and better restaurant.
Nothing to dislike
Location was great, friendly staff, had everything we needed
The room got very hot and was hard to cool down
Comfortable room. Nice outside area and bar to enjoy an evening drink. Delicious restaurant food and lovely breakfast selection. During heatwave it would be nice to have an option for a fan (or air conditioning).
Location
No air con
I travel frequently around the country for business and by chance identified your hotel when looking for an alternative.....And was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness , modern premium facilities and big rooms. Probably what really set it apart was the staff service at breakfast. I went to the dining room to book breakfast and asked where i could make coffee but had to go outside first to take call. The lady staff member said not to worry and broight me coffee outside ...she dd not have to but going the "extra mile" was so welcoming Thankyou
No Aircon ....
Lovely hotel, clean and very comfortable, very friendly and helpful staff, excellent food.
There is nothing to dislike
comfortable and roomy. breakfast good but disappointed to pay same for continental as for full. dinner very good
using bath could be dangerous for elderly - like us! no grab rails and slippy surface.
Very friendly staff, lovely hotell and good food.
Bedroom was very hot at night, but I did visit during a heatwave.
Hotel in great location. Room very comfortable. Food and staff were great. Would recommend for a long stay or just on transit.
It’s so convenient when travelling. A lovely hotel and a great breakfast.
It would be great if they had a fan in the room as it was sweltering.
It was near the venue
No walk in shower. I am disabled but was told dog rooms only have shower over bath not ideal
Hotel has been refreshed since last stay
The staff and property were very good and clean. Great food, comfortable bed.
Due to the heatwave, the bedroom was very hot and uncomfortable, no air conditioner and no fan provided.
Very friendly and pleasant staff throughout
Location and ambiance.
Beautiful place. Really comfortable and clean. Food in the restaurant was so good.
Nothing
The property was good with ample parking and close to the M6 with a fuel station less than a mile away with cheap prices compared to other areas. The staff were helpful, polite and well turned out. The food was first class with excellent choices and a well stocked bar. Bed was comfortable and the shower was good with ample space in the bathroom.
Nothing
Spotlessly clean 👌 lovely food
High quality. Artfully designed
Music at breakfast
Great location for either The Lakes or Dales. Comfortable room, plenty of parking, nice bar and superb restaurant.
Nothing
We stayed room only but the rooms was really welcoming and a very comfy bed
The room was a little dark
Fantastic property, obviously well locked by the locals. Rooms were comfy and clean and the bar was amazing. There was also charging place for our car which was a plus..
The prices were little high.
A very nice hotel friendly staff excellent service , our room was very nice
Our room wasn’t a very nice very nice outlook we looked on to the roof near the extraction noisiy
Everything
My only complaint is the hotel and rooms are way too hot.
Very good cooked fresh
Excellent full English breakfast, especially the sausages.
Eveeything nice.
Clean rooms, friendly staff. Good food.
The breakfast was a bit expensive
Lovely clean room. Friendly staff on reception,. In a location suitable for our purpose.
Having to wait a while, along with others, to be served at the bar, then no apology for having to wait from bar staff
The hotel is ideally placed close to M6. The rooms are bright and clean. The restaurant food was good. A full refund for our stay after the worse night ever in a hotel
There was a private party with exceptionally loud music and drunks running around slamming doors. We complained to reception but was told there was nothing they could do and the party should end at midnight. At midnight the whole hotel was awakened by the fire alarm deliberately being set off as the party goers left. It was a shame that an extetnal booking was allowed to impact on staying guests. It should have been a relaxing stay but certainly was anything but.
Lovely hotel just off the M6 Quiet.
Please expand vegan and vegetarian options.
Friendly staff, dog friendly, comfortable room, ev charging on site and good location both for visiting the lakes or, like us, half way to visiting the highlands of Scotland
Our 2nd visit to the Crooklands and and it didn't disappoint. Lovely place, friendly, professional staff, and lovely rooms with comfortable beds. Plenty of parking too.
Easy check in and food had a good choice and quickly served. Our dog made to feel welcome

Location was perfect. Close to M6 and work site.
My only complaint was the pillows. Not suitable for me and in future I'll bring my own.
The rooms are beautifully finished and decorated in a no fuss, scandinavian chic style. The cleaning team are very good and focus on every detail. The restaurant is very good and pulls in customers from miles around. Ample parking was a huge plus. WiFi was excellent all over the hotel.
The shower wasn't working correctly and even though I raised the issue with the staff, the solution wasn't what I expected. Didn't see "the owners" or anyone directing proceedings or engaging with customers. The dining room nearest the bar gets extremely stuffy in the evenings; there's mo AC and the windows can't be opened. Not ideal.
Everything
Evrning meal and breakfast very good; room very good
Great room Staff super helpful Great breakfast
Nothing
The Hotel was except nearly clean, modern And the rooms were very well kissed out as was the bathrooms with absolutely everything you could need, even a little dish for the teabags! The staff were exceptional nothing was too much trouble. The food was superb. We had an evening meal of the seabass and it was absolutely delicious and plenty of it! The breakfast was the nicest cooked breakfast that we have had whilst away, for a long time. The sausages were just lovely. It was served to your table. The hotel was near a canal so we were able to go for a nice long walk. The bed was very comfortable and it was very good value for money.
There was absolutely nothing that we did not like
Receptionist ar check in was great. Liked the room. Food excellent and staff very efficient and friendly .Breakfast and evening meal very good.
Nothing
Super comfortable beds, clean and modern rooms. Very helpful and welcoming staff.
Noise of cars roaring around a nearby field in middle of the night after a car show. Not the fault of the hotel!!
Very welcoming staff, lovely decor and excellent food in the restaurant. A perfect stay thank you
Nothing
Nice and clean,felt comfortable.
Little detached from main areas of lakes
Overnight stay in this lovely hotel very clean & good location
Nothing all was good
Food was very good. Portion sizes are large. Staff were friendly and efficient.
A thoroughly enjoyable stay with excellent staff and good dinner and breakfast.
Breakfast was dry & pre cooked considering the time it took
Modern well maintained and nice and clean
The only thing we did not like was the fact the breakfast was not individually priced
Lovely downstairs and outside area. Excellent position right off the motorway. We would stay again.
Bedroom was clean but all a little dated. Not the best welcome and no details about breakfast etc.
The location was perfect for our needs. Breakfast was good.. only selected a few items from the Full English, but all very tasty and well presented.
Bar staff were not that great! Coming from NZ .. I know my Sauvignon Blanc. The one I was served was warm, not perfectly chilled. The young lady wasn't very responsive to that. The young lady in the restaurant was a bit off.. needs to listen and respond nicely! Cleaning staff lovely.. and do a great job.. Thank you!.
Great location, excellent service and superb breakfast.
No faults to mention.
Everything..apart from the bed..staff were great..food was fabulous..location for where we were going was great

This is our GoTo Hotel when we are travelling up the M6, It is impossible to fault the Hotel, Food & staff. Excellent Dinner & breakfast all served by very good staff - with a smile.

Very handy location, just off the M6, so perfect for exploring sights like Ingleton Waterfalls and Devils Bridge
There was an error in my bill but this was quickly put right
Good size, very clean, comfortable room. Very attractive decor throughout the hotel. Reception staff very friendly and helpful.
There want’s anything.
The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well presented, and the overall atmosphere felt relaxed but well looked after. I especially liked the friendly and helpful staff—they made the stay feel welcoming and easy. The food was also a highlight, with good quality and a nice variety to choose from.
No plug sockets near the bed, but I am really nitpicking.
