Reviewed Aug 11, 2026Lage am Ende des Ortes super, um gleich mit dem Wandern zu starten, ohne erst durch den Ort laufen zu müssen. Parkplätze ausreichend vorhanden. Frühstücksbuffet sehr gut sortiert. Es wird auch nachgefragt, ob alles okay ist. Highlight war der Sauna-Bereich im Untergeschoss, den die Gastgeberin extra auf unseren Wunsch hin in Betrieb genommen hat. Scheint im Sommer nicht sehr nachgefragt, wird aber auf Nachfrage eingeschaltet. Unser Zimmer Nr 5 hatte einen schönen und großen Balkon.

Reviewed Jul 13, 2026Well situated near the bus station Obergurgl Center, good breakfast with quite a lot of choice, easy check in and out (we communicated in English), the spa is gigantic with many different sauna and wellness equipments, and my room was very nice with a stunning view and balcony. The value for money seems quite high.
The cleaning lady entered my room on Sunday, a day with supposedly no room service. I wasn't aware that the spa had a dedicated schedule (1 h between 4 to 8 pm, closed on Saturday) and I had to ask them to turn it on, since in summer (July) there was not a lot of customers. In consequence, they only turned on 1 sauna and 1 room with heating seats. Even though the hotel was very quiet, the walls seem to be pretty "thin". Otherwise just for improving a bit more the stay I would have loved to have a kettle with a few tea bags in my room and fresh fruits during breakfast.

Frühstück ist auch super :-) Beachtet werden sollte nur, dass hier im Sommer in der Gegend die Restaurants geschlossen haben, zumindest abends, für die Personen, die abends noch wo einkehren möchten... Sonst alles top und absolut zu empfehlen :-))

Reviewed Jun 23, 2025Pension Wendlhof sits perfectly at the quiet end of Obergurgl, with trails right on the doorstep—great for anyone eager to head straight into the Alps. Our room was spacious, spotless, and felt cozy, and we appreciated the free parking for the motorbike. Breakfast set us up well for the day, and the staff were consistently welcoming and helpful.
Be aware that Obergurgl is almost empty in the off-season (we visited mid-June). Only one hotel restaurant was open, so dinner required a bit of luck. Also, some cut-up old furniture was stacked in front of our terrace doors, which detracted from an otherwise neat setting. Overall, though, it’s a charming mountain pension and a solid choice.

There was no bacon for breakfast. The bathrooms could be modernized, but are still very functional.

The bedrooms were well furnished and stylish, with a very traditional style. Both rooms had great balconies, with inspiring vies across the piste and mountains. Breakfast was very impressive. Great variety of cuisine, beautifully presented. Breakfast rolls and such super fresh. The staff were superb and always helpful.

The breakfast was good and plentiful and would have had something for every taste. Staff were friendly and the rooms were cleaned spotlessly by the time we returned from Breakfast each day. Location wise the hotel is right next to the main walking areas in Obergurgl so access was very easy.
We knew about there being no soap in the bathroom from previous reviews so that’s a very minor niggle. Nothing we didn’t like.
