We had a wonderful stay in the family room, which was very comfortable and clean. The location is great, close to many interesting beach places. The hosts are wonderful people and very helpful with everything.

Good location and the building is beautiful

Not really worth £14 a night if I’m honest. WiFi never worked. Rooms weren’t the cleanest and the door felt really not secure.

We spent two wonderful nights at this gorgeous heritage stay, and it was easily one of the highlights of our Sri Lanka trip. The villa has been beautifully curated and thoughtfully converted into a guest stay, retaining all the charm and character of its heritage roots. From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless. The host reached out to us in advance to coordinate our arrival details, making check-in completely hassle-free — a small but much-appreciated touch. But the real star of this stay was our host. Out of all the places we stayed during our Sri Lanka trip, she was hands down the best. Warm, friendly, and incredibly attentive, she went above and beyond at every turn — arranging bike rentals, organizing a whale watching excursion, and always being just a message away whenever we had a question. She also took the time to recommend wonderful local spots to explore and genuinely checked in on all our needs throughout our stay. The heritage villa itself is a delight, but it's the host's exceptional hospitality that truly elevates this place. If you're looking for a stay where you feel genuinely cared for, look no further. An absolute gem — highly recommended!

Great location close to Ahangama center and with a beach just across the road. Very nice villa with access to a kitchen and washing machine. Our room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed. We were also allowed to stay until the evening because of a late flight home. Super friendly and welcoming staff. Definitely recommend staying here!

nice location, walkable to center, theres a secret beach closeby and the owner is super friendly and helped me with everything, probably one of the most beaufiful rooms i had, money value 100% fullfilled, can recommend

The property was nice and the family who owned it was lovely too. Comfy bed and spacious room.

The parking could be a bit better as you have to get out and open/close the roller gate manually each time you go out.

This place felt like a little retreat in Ahangama. The room is super nice - spacious and clean, the bed is really comfortable and the bathroom very spacious as well. The staff is very friendly! The location is really good - close to the beach and close enough to the center but still a little away. The only downside regarding this is it stands close to a temple, so the prayers are very audible really early in the morning. I found the value to be a bit much (considering no breakfast for instance), but compensated for the privacy and overall comfort

The owners were all the time available for anything I needed and they allowed me to do a late check in. Than you for that!!

The villa is really beautiful and easy to find and the family who is renting it is really nice. When we could find a tuktuk they offered to get us one.

The only slightly bad thing was that there wasn’t a mosquito net.

I had a great experience during my stay at this homestay. The family running the place is wonderful, and they maintain it super clean. It's a quiet place with comfortable rooms and a nice hangout area with good Wi-Fi. There's also a nearby coffee shop, and the homestay has a kitchen, which is super convenient. Excellent value for money, with AC rooms that are perfect for both solo travelers and families. Highly recommended!

Location is good, mini mart,cafes, fruit stands all within 10 mins walking distance. Room is very simple but new and tidy. The hosts are very friendly family, they were always there to assist with whatever I needed.

the villa is just right off the main road and there’s a temple as well so expect to have some traffic noises during the night or early morning prayers.

Very friendly owners, comfortable room, nice kitchen and very nice hang out are in the garden! It's super close to some nice beaches and great coffee place. In a little quieter area but walkable from the busier street.

Family running it is super nice! Everything is renovated. Cool place to stay in!

The family went above and beyond to help me and to make me feel at home. They even fit AC within a day as the room was too hot, the location is just opposite Kaffi which is such a nice cafe spot to a basically private beach! The room was clean and fresh I was super happy here Stuuti!!!

They will improve the Wifi. Actually you can’t work from there. But like everything the family will fix this soon.

Lovely rooms in a very central location in Ahangama. There is also a kitchen which you can use.

Lovely villa run by a lovely family. The room was large, very clean and comfortable. It has really good, clean AC too. I loved that this place has a clean kitchen with enough equipment to cook an omelette for breakfast and even make a smoothie. It made it feel like home. The family is also very nice and helpful.

The wifi doesn’t work well in the rooms (I think because the walls are so thick), but it’s fine in the common areas.

The owners are very friendly and willing to help. They also arranged a taxi to Negombo for me for a good price. Location is perfect.

No ac, only a van (single bed room).

Lovely house and atmosphere! The rooms had high standard and also nice common areas to hang out at. The family host were very helpful and kind as well.

Would be nice to have a fan in the room so you don’t have to always use the AC.
